2 Quick-Start Guide
Follow these steps to get started:
- Insert batteries into the remote control.
- Select the desired operating mode (Auto, Cool, Dry, Heat, Fan).
- Set the desired temperature using the temperature adjustment buttons.
- Select the desired fan speed.
- Point the remote towards the indoor unit.
- Press the power button ⏻ to turn the unit on or off.
Special Note: Button designs on your unit may differ slightly from the example shown. If the indoor unit does not have a particular function, pressing that function's button on the remote control will have no effect.
3 Handling
3.1 Inserting & Replacing Batteries
The unit includes two batteries. Put the batteries in the remote control before use.
- Slide the back cover from the remote control downward, exposing the battery compartment.
- Insert the batteries, paying attention to match up the (+) and (-) ends of the batteries with the symbols inside the battery compartment.
- Slide the battery cover back into place.
Battery Notes & Tips
- For optimum product performance: Do not mix old and new batteries, or batteries of different types.
- Do not leave batteries in the remote control if you don't plan on using the device for more than 2 months.
- Do not dispose of batteries as unsorted municipal waste. Refer to local laws for proper disposal requirements of batteries.
- The remote control must be used within 26ft (8m) of the unit.
- The unit will beep when remote signal is received.
- Curtains, other materials, and direct sunlight can interfere with the infrared signal receiver.
3.2 Remote Interference
The remote should comply with local national regulations.
- In Canada, it should comply with CAN ICES-3(B)/NMB-3(B).
- In USA, this device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: 1. This device may not cause harmful interference and 2. This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult your dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
Changes or modifications not approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.

Transmission Indicator
Lights up when the remote sends a signal to the indoor unit. ?

Temperature/Timer/Fan speed Display
Shows set temperature, fan speed, or timer setting. Temperature range: 60-86°F/16-30°C. Timer range: 0-24 hours. Fan speed range: AU -100%. Display is blank in FAN mode.
Louver Swing Display

6 Basic Functions
6.1 Auto Mode
1. Select Auto mode. 2. Set your desired temperature. 3. Turn on the unit ⏻.
Note: In Auto mode, the unit automatically selects cool, fan, or heat based on the set temperature. Fan speed cannot be set in Auto mode.
6.2 Cool or Heat Mode
1. Select Cool/Heat mode. 2. Set the temperature. 3. Set the fan speed. 4. Turn on the unit ⏻.
6.3 Dry Mode
1. Select Dry mode. 2. Set your desired temperature. 3. Turn on the unit ⏻.
Note: In Dry mode, fan speed is automatically controlled and cannot be set.
6.4 Fan Mode
1. Select Fan mode. 2. Set your desired temperature. 3. Turn on the unit ⏻.
Note: In Fan mode, temperature cannot be set, and no temperature will be displayed on the remote screen.
6.5 Setting the Timer
TIMER ON Setting
Press the TIMER button ⏰ to initiate the ON time sequence. Press the TEMP Up or Down buttons ▲/▼ five times to set the desired ON time. Point the remote at the unit and wait 1 second; TIMER ON will be activated.
TIMER OFF Setting
Press the TIMER button ⏰ to initiate the OFF time sequence. Press the TEMP Up or Down buttons ▲/▼ ten times to set the desired OFF time. Point the remote at the unit and wait 1 second; TIMER OFF will be activated.
Note on Timer Increments
Time increases by 30-minute increments up to 10 hours. After 10 hours, it increases by 1-hour increments up to 24 hours. The timer reverts to 0.0 after 24 hours. To cancel, set the timer to 0.0h.
TIMER ON & OFF Setting Example
Time periods set refer to hours after the current time. Example: If current time is 1:00 PM, the unit will turn on 2.5 hours later (3:30 PM) and turn off 5 hours later (6:00 PM).
7 Advanced Functions
7.1 Swing Function
Press the SWING button ↔️. The horizontal louver swings up and down automatically. Press again to stop. Holding the button for 2 seconds activates vertical louver auto swing (if available).
7.2 Airflow Direction
Continuously press the SWING button ↔️ to cycle through five different airflow directions. Press until the preferred direction is reached.
7.3 LED Display
Press the LED button ? to turn the indoor unit's display and buzzer on/off.
7.4 Silence Function
Press the FAN button for more than 2 seconds to activate/deactivate Silence mode. This mode may result in insufficient cooling or heating due to low compressor frequency. Press ON/OFF ⏻, Mode, Turbo ⚡, or Clean ? buttons to cancel.
7.5 ECO/GEAR Function
Press the ECO/GEAR button ?⚙️ to enter energy-efficient modes: ECO ➔ GEAR (75%) ➔ GEAR (50%) ➔ Previous Setting Mode ➔ ECO... (Only available in COOL mode).
ECO Operation
Under cooling mode, the remote adjusts temperature to 75°F/24°C and fan speed to Auto (if set temp < 75°F/24°C). If set temp > 75°F/24°C, fan speed changes to Auto, temperature remains unchanged. ECO operation stops if ECO button is pressed, mode is changed, or temperature is set below 75°F/24°C. For comfort, ensure set temperature is 75°F/24°C or above.
GEAR Operation
Enter GEAR operation: 75% (up to 75% energy consumption) ➔ 50% (up to 50% energy consumption) ➔ Previous setting mode. The setting temperature reverts after 3 seconds.
7.6 FP Function
Activates high fan speed with temperature automatically set to 46°F/8°C. In HEAT mode, press this button twice with a set temperature of 60°F/16°C to activate FP function. Press ON/OFF ⏻, Mode, Fan, or Temperature buttons to cancel. This function is for heat pump air conditioners only.
7.7 Lock Function
Press CLEAN ? and TURBO ⚡ buttons simultaneously for over 5 seconds to activate Lock function. All buttons become non-responsive. Press again for 2 seconds to disable.
7.8 Clean Function
Press the CLEAN button ? to activate Active Clean Technology. This function washes away dust, mold, and grease by freezing and rapidly thawing frost on the heat exchanger. The indoor unit displays "CL". The unit turns off automatically after 20-45 minutes.
7.9 Turbo Function
In COOL mode, the Turbo feature ⚡ provides cool air at the strongest wind setting for rapid cooling. In HEAT mode, it provides warm air for rapid heating (some units). For units with electrical heating elements, the electrical heater activates.
7.10 Super Heat Function
Press the TURBO button ⚡ for 5 seconds in Heating/Auto mode to initiate Super Heat function. Press for 3 seconds to stop. This function improves heating speed at low temperatures. The louver opens to maximum angle for faster temperature achievement. Note: Anti-cold air feature is disabled 5 minutes after compressor start, potentially causing low air outlet temperature. "On" or "OFF" displays for 3 seconds on the indoor unit display window when activated/stopped. Change mode or turn off unit to stop.
7.11 Set Function
Press the SET button ⚙️ to enter function setting. Use SET ⚙️ or TEMP Up/Down ▲/▼ to select a function; the symbol flashes. Press OK ✔️ to confirm. To cancel, repeat the procedure.
Function Sequence via SET button:
Fresh/UV-C Lamp ? ➔ Sleep ? ➔ Follow Me ? ➔ AP Mode ?.
Note: If your remote has dedicated Fresh and Sleep buttons, you cannot use the SET button for these functions.
FRESH/UV-C Lamp Function (some units)
Activates ionizer or UV-C lamp (model dependent) to purify room air. If both features are present, they activate simultaneously.
Sleep Function
Decreases energy use during sleep for comfortable temperature settings. Can only be activated via remote control. Not available in FAN or DRY mode.
Follow Me Function
Enables the remote to measure ambient temperature and send it to the unit every 3 minutes. This optimizes temperature around you for maximum comfort in AUTO, COOL, or HEAT modes. Press SET ⚙️ to select, then OK ✔️ to confirm. Pressing OK ✔️ for 3 seconds starts/stops the memory feature. Memory feature activation ("On") or deactivation ("OFF") displays for 3 seconds. The memory feature is not canceled by ON/OFF, mode change, or power failure.
AP Function
Used for wireless network configuration. For some units, it requires pressing the LED button ? seven times within ten seconds to enter AP mode.
