The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol [⚡] within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated "dangerous voltage" within the product's enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.
The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle [❗] is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the product.
Earth symbol [?]: The apparatus shall be connected to a mains socket outlet with a protective earthing connection.
WARNING: DO NOT OPERATE THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT.
The remote control contains a button cell battery. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.
If batteries are swallowed, they can cause severe burns or death in as little as 2 hours. Seek immediate medical attention.
Remote Control Operation
The remote control duplicates the functions of the amplifier's front panel controls.
POWER BUTTON
Duplicates the Power Button on the front panel of the amplifier.
VOLUME
Duplicates the Volume dial on the front panel of the amplifier.
EQ Control
Low-Cut: Push to turn the Low-Cut Filter on/off. This filter reduces all frequencies below 25Hz (-3dB) at a rolloff rate of 12dB per octave.
High-Cut: Push to turn the High-Cut Filter on/off.
High Cut Hz: Use these buttons to set the High Cut Filter Frequency.
Amplifier Operation - Front Panel
Controls and indicators on the front panel (from left to right):
- POWER: Powers the amplifier on or off. The power indicator LED illuminates green when the amplifier is on and red when it is off or in standby mode (activated after ~20 minutes without signal).
- POWER STATUS INDICATOR (Red/Green LED): Red indicates Off mode or Standby mode. If the amplifier is in Standby mode (Red), and an input signal is reapplied, the amplifier circuits will automatically energize and the indicator light will turn green. Green indicates all amplifier circuits are energized and ready to function. After 20 minutes of no input signal, the amplifier reverts to low power Standby mode.
- CLIP INDICATOR LIGHT (Red LED): Illuminates when maximum output is approached.
- SIGNAL INDICATOR LIGHT (Green LED): Illuminates when a signal passes through the circuits to the amplifier's output terminal.
- LOW FILTER CUTOFF PUSH SWITCH: Engages the low-cut filter, reducing frequencies below 25Hz (-3dB) at a rolloff rate of 12dB per octave.
- HIGH CUTOFF FREQUENCY: Displays the frequency above which frequencies are rolled off.
- REMOTE: IR Sensor for the included remote control.
- HIGH CUTOFF FILTER PUSH SWITCH: Engages the High Cutoff filter, which rolls off higher frequencies (-3dB, rolloff rate of 12dB per octave).
- VOLUME: Displays the volume level (intensity) of the amplifier.
- VOLUME MINUS (-) & PLUS (+): Adjust the volume level (intensity) of the amplifier.
- POWER STATUS INDICATOR (Orange LED Fault Indicator): See page 11 for Fault Statuses and solutions.
Amplifier Operation - Rear Panel
Connections on the rear panel (from left to right):
- IEC TYPE POWER CORD RECEPTICAL: Attach one end of the power cord here for operation.
- FUSE HOLDER (INTEGRATED INTO THE POWER RECEPTICAL): Fuse: T2A. A spare fuse is also contained in the fuse holder for your convenience. Pull straight out after removing power cord.
- POWER SWITCH: Disconnects amplifier from AC power. Set this switch to the OFF position to consume no power.
- USB INPUT: USB audio input. Connect using the included USB Type C Male to USB Type A Male cable. Best used with ButtKicker® HaptiConnect™ software.
- LEFT & RIGHT LINE LEVEL INPUT (RCA): RCA/phono input jacks. Input sensitivity of 50mV. Connect both Left and Right to sum stereo signal to mono.
- LINE LEVEL OUTPUT (RCA): RCA/phono output jack. Use to "daisy chain" signal to a second amplifier.
- SPEAKER LEVEL OUTPUT BINDING POSTS - Bridged: Used for connecting to the ButtKicker® BK-GT-PRO transducer. Turn the amplifier off before connecting to the Speaker Output.
