Basic Operating Safety Instructions

⚠️ Danger: Risk of Injury! Failure to comply may result in injury.

This document is not a substitute for the installation and operation manuals. Carefully read and follow all safety instructions and warnings.

Electrical Hazard: ⚡ Risk of Electric Shock, Burns, or Death! Contact with live parts can cause severe injury or death. Electrical component installation, inspection, and replacement must be performed by qualified electrical personnel. Always disconnect power before working on the unit. If a battery is installed, disconnect it as well. Verify the unit is de-energized and cannot be restarted.

⚠️ Danger: Risk of Serious Injury or Death! Incorrect settings or use during maintenance can lead to severe injury or death. Only use the unit when correctly set up and in proper working order. Regularly check for signs of wear, damage, or imbalance. Perform monthly checks of the force limitation (reversal) function. Have malfunctions, worn components, or imbalance issues professionally repaired promptly.

⚠️ Hazardous Substances: Risk to Health! Improper storage, use, and disposal of batteries and components can harm people and animals. Store batteries out of reach of children and animals. Protect batteries from chemical, mechanical, and thermal stress. Do not charge dry batteries or damaged batteries. Do not dispose of drive unit components, batteries, or dry cells in household waste; they must be professionally disposed of.

⚠️ Danger: Risk of Entrapment! People can be trapped by the door, leading to severe injury or death. Monthly check the function of the emergency release, especially from the inside at the end of the closing path, and if necessary, from the outside. Ensure the emergency release is installed at a height not exceeding 1.8m. Attach warning signs clearly visible near the emergency release lever. Have malfunctions professionally repaired promptly.

⚠️ Danger: Protruding Parts! Parts must not protrude into public walkways or roads, including during door movement. This can cause severe injury to people and animals.

⚠️ Danger: Falling Door Parts! If the support structure fails, the door may fall uncontrollably, causing severe injury or death. Ensure a suitable device (external stop, anti-fall device, etc.) is installed on the door.

⚠️ Danger: Falling Parts! Unbalanced doors can cause severe injury or death. Regularly check door balance. Be aware of door movement when operating the emergency release. Maintain distance from the door's movement area.

⚠️ Danger: Entanglement! People or animals can be caught and pulled by the door's rotating area, causing severe injury or death. Maintain distance from the door's movement area. Remove all unnecessary ropes or chains before installation. Ensure no other devices are active during operation. If the slider mechanism passes under ceiling suspensions, do not touch them. Only pass through the door opening when fully open. Do not stand under the open door. Post warning signs near the fixed control unit.

⚠️ Danger: Pinching and Crushing! If people or animals are in the movement area while the door is operating, the mechanical components and closing edges can cause pinching or crushing injuries. Keep the movement area clear. Ensure the door's mechanical state is good, properly balanced, and operates correctly before installation. Only operate the unit when the door is fully visible. The danger zone must be visible throughout the entire door travel. Always observe the moving door. Keep people and animals away from the movement area. Do not touch the moving door or its parts, especially the drive arm. If the slider mechanism passes under ceiling suspensions, do not touch them. Only pass through the door opening when fully open. Do not stand under the open door. Post warning signs near the fixed control unit.

⚠️ Danger: Door Collapse! If the load-bearing structure fails, the door may collapse uncontrollably, causing severe injury or death. Install a suitable device (external stop, anti-fall device, etc.) on the door.

⚠️ Danger: Falling Hazard! Unstable or damaged ladders can tilt and cause serious accidents. Only use stable, secure ladders. Ensure the ladder is standing securely.

⚠️ Danger: Tripping and Falling! Loose components (packaging, drive parts, tools) can cause tripping or falling. Keep the installation area clear of unnecessary items. Secure all components to prevent tripping. Follow general workplace safety rules.

⚠️ Optical Radiation: Risk of Temporary Vision Impairment! Staring directly at bright LED lights for extended periods can cause temporary visual impairment. Do not look directly into the LED lighting.

⚠️ Eye Injury: Risk of Serious Injury! Drilling debris can cause serious eye and hand injuries. Wear safety glasses when drilling.

⚠️ Hand Injury: Risk of Cuts and Abrasions! Touching rough metal parts can cause cuts and abrasions. Wear protective gloves for deburring or similar tasks.

⚠️ Head Injury: Risk of Serious Injury! Hitting suspended objects can cause serious cuts and abrasions. Wear a safety helmet when installing suspended components.

Radio Remote Control Additional Safety Instructions:

Pinching and Crushing Hazard! Operating the remote control without observing the door's movement can lead to pinching or crushing injuries from mechanical parts and closing edges. Always ensure the entire danger zone is visible when operating the remote. Before operating the handheld transmitter, ensure the door springs are not weakened or broken. Always observe the moving door. Keep people and animals away from the movement area. Do not touch moving parts. Only pass through the door opening when fully open. Store handheld transmitters securely to prevent accidental operation by people or animals. Fixed control units (e.g., external buttons, key switches) must be installed at a height not exceeding 1.5m and at a safe distance from moving parts. Do not stand under the open door.

Information on Operation and Radio Remote Control: The operator cannot prevent interference from other telecommunication devices. In case of severe interference, contact the responsible telecommunications authority. Note: Operating the remote control without observing the door can lead to objects in the movement area being trapped and damaged. Ensure the door's movement area is clear of objects. Only operate the drive unit when the door is fully visible.

Disposal Instructions

⚠️ Hazardous Substances: Risk to Health and Environment! Improper storage, use, and disposal of batteries, dry cells, and components can harm people and animals, leading to severe injury or death. Store batteries and dry cells out of reach of children and animals. Protect them from chemical, mechanical, and thermal stress. Dry cells may contain hazardous chemicals that pollute the environment and harm health. Lithium batteries require special care to prevent fire hazards from improper handling. Removed dry cells and batteries from electrical equipment must be disposed of separately.

Note: To avoid environmental damage, all components must be disposed of according to local and national regulations. Minimize waste by attempting to recycle or reuse components. This directive (2012/19/EU WEEE) provides a framework for the recycling and reuse of waste electrical and electronic equipment within the EU. Discarded drive unit components, old batteries, and dry cells must not be disposed of in household waste. Dispose of them according to regulations. Contact a professional dealer for the latest disposal methods.

Diagram Description (Page 4): A recycling symbol with text in French indicates proper disposal of the device, accessories, and cords, suggesting repair or donation as alternatives to disposal. It lists options for return upon delivery, drop-off at stores, or at recycling centers, with a website provided for collection points.
