Quick Guide
GUARD TOWER
GTT 6000 - 10000
Introduction
The product is used as an external power distribution unit in conjunction with GTT UPS TOWER model.
Product Overview
The diagram illustrates the rear panel of the Guard Tower unit, highlighting key connection points and components. It shows multiple receptacles and a circuit breaker. The labeled items are:
- 1. NEMA "5-20R" receptacles, suitable for standard North American plugs.
- 2. C19 receptacles, typically used for higher current IT equipment.
- 3. A circuit breaker for power protection.
The diagram also shows two connection panels: one with C19 and NEMA 5-20R receptacles, and another with C19 receptacles.
Installation
Remove the module from the shipping package and inspect it for damage that may occur during transportation. Notify the carrier and place of purchase if any damage is found.
Install the module
The module screws into the back panel of GTT UPS as shown in the figure.
This diagram shows the module being attached to the back of the GTT UPS unit. Arrows indicate the mounting points for securing the module. A separate arrow points to the designated opening for routing the UPS input power wire.
Connect to the UPS
Connect the power cord (L1/L2/N) from PDU to UPS output terminal.
The wiring diagram details the connections between the PDU (Power Distribution Unit) and the UPS. It shows how the various receptacles (C19, 5-20R) on the PDU connect to specific output terminals on the UPS, including L1, L2, N1/N2, and the Ground (GND) terminal. A crucial note clarifies input voltage markings on the UPS if the rear panel is not clearly labeled: "If this is the back of the UPS that above doesn't make sense. L1 and L2 are the input of the UPS, they should be marked 0V 120V".
Connect to Equipment
There are two types of output receptacles voltage: 240V and 120V. You can choose which type receptacles be used according to the load type.
This diagram presents two distinct output panels for connecting equipment. The top panel, labeled 'LV LOAD' (Low Voltage Load), features multiple NEMA 5-20R receptacles, designed for 120V power. The bottom panel, labeled 'HV LOAD' (High Voltage Load), features multiple C19 receptacles, designed for 240V power. Users can select the appropriate panel based on the voltage requirements of their connected devices.
