I. Product Introduction

This section provides an overview of the 4G LTE Pan Tilt Security Camera, model S40. It details the components and features of the device.

II. Setup App

1. Download and Install App

To use the camera, you need to download and install the 'UBox' App. You can do this by:

• Scanning the provided QR code to download the UBox App.
• Searching for 'UBox' in the Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS) and downloading it.

Important Note: Please confirm the UBox App icon before downloading. Allow 'UBox' to use mobile cellular data, wireless network, phone location, and push messages for full functionality and timely alerts.

2. Register an account

Register an account using your email address. It is recommended to verify your account via email for password retrieval. Set a strong password (8-32 digits and alphabet) and keep a record of it.

3. Adding the camera into App

Important Notes Before Adding Camera:

• Ensure your phone is within 1.5 feet of the camera when adding it to the App.
• Insert the SIM card and then turn on the camera. A solid blue indicator light signifies successful SIM card recognition.

Step 1: Click "Add a device", select "Set up 4G device", and click "Next" when the camera indicator light is blue.

Step 2: When the camera indicator light is blue, use your mobile phone to scan the QR code pasted on the camera.

Step 3: After the device is successfully connected to the App, choose or modify the device name. Then, select the area where the device is located.

Congratulations! You have successfully connected the camera to the App and can now view the live video.

III. FAQs

1. Fail to add the camera into App.

1. Check if the SIM card is inserted correctly.
2. If using your own SIM card, verify the SIM card type supports 4G networks (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon).
3. Ensure your SIM card has sufficient data and has not been used on other devices previously.
4. Confirm a strong 4G mobile network signal at the installation location.
5. If issues persist, contact customer service.

2. The camera can't recognize SIM card.

1. Check the SIM card installation direction.
2. Verify the prepaid SIM's data plan. New users receive 100MB free data upon activation.
3. Check the camera's power level; restarting after charging may help.
4. For Verizon SIM cards, ensure it's a new card as old ones can be easily locked.
5. If issues persist, contact customer service.

3. The camera remains offline after topping up SIM card.

Manually activate the device (turn off/on) or wait for 1 hour for automatic activation and online status restoration. For SIM cards provided by Ebitcam, alerts are given when data is at 200M remaining.

4. The camera goes offline suddenly.

1. Check the SIM card for residual data.
2. Ensure the camera is sufficiently charged and powered on.
3. Check the 4G network signal strength, especially in enclosed spaces.

5. How to reset camera

Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds until you hear "system reset".

6. How to add a new family

Navigate to the "home" icon, click "Add family", input the family name, click "next step", enter required information, and click "finish". Pay attention to selecting the correct "Country/Region" for smooth connection and notifications.

7. How to share your camera

1. From the "Device list", choose "share permissions" under "Basic settings".
2. Click "Share" and enter the invitee's email address.
3. Click "Next" to select permission level (Administrator, family member, Visitor, or Customize). Customize permissions via the blue "permissions" icon and check the invited users list in the "share management" page.

Note: The invited user must register a UBox account with their email before sharing.

8. How to turn off notification

Click the bell icon ? to turn notifications on or off. Turning off notifications does not stop motion-triggered events from recording to the Cloud or micro SD card.

9. The steps of topping up SIM card (only applicable to the SIM card included in package)

Follow the on-screen instructions within the App to top up the SIM card data.

IV. Mounting the Camera

2. Recommended height to install the camera

It is suggested to install the camera at about 9 feet. Adjust the camera angle physically based on the live video feed on your phone to focus on the motion area for more accurate alerts. The PIR detection range is approximately 18 feet.

3. If your camera gets numerous motion alerts unexpected

1. Adjust the camera installation angle slightly downwards to focus on the motion area.
2. Change the PIR sensitivity to "Low" to reduce sensitivity.
3. Avoid installing the camera near bushes, shrubs, grass, and tree leaves within the PIR range.

V. Detailed App Instructions

This section explains various features and indicators within the UBox App:

• Battery charging sign: Green indicator means charging via sunlight or USB. White indicator means fully charged or charging at night. If the sign is incorrect, remove and reinstall the solar panel, or contact support.
• Low power indicator: Recharge the camera manually using the provided USB cable.
• Number of users: You can share permissions with multiple users, customize their access levels, but shared users cannot change the administrator's password.
• 4G LTE signal strength: Ensure a full bar of 4G LTE signal for smooth live view.

App Interface Elements:

• Click to choose resolution (HD or SD).
• Setting: Access device settings.
• Spotlight Icon: Turns on the spotlight at night for color video clips during motion detection. Can be switched to infrared LEDs for night vision (black and white video).
