1. General Information
Dear Customer, thank you for choosing our product. This guide will provide information on commissioning and use. Please feel free to contact us if you encounter any problems.
2. Numbering of the Mounting Holes
The foiled cover features numbered holes corresponding to labels at the bottom left. These mounting holes are designed for single-board computers like Raspberry Pi and Banana Pi.

3. Bracket Assembly
Follow these steps for quick and easy bracket mounting:
- Loosen and remove the screws of the protective cover.
- Remove the protective film from the feet.
- Remove the spacers from the board's screws. Attach the legs by lifting the board. Ensure the leg with the larger cutout is placed on the side with the connections.
- Remove the protective film from the cover.
- Fasten the spacers with the supplied nuts to the provided openings. The numbers on the spacers indicate compatible single-board computers.
- Screw the single-board computer tightly onto the plate.
4. Activation/Deactivation of the Backlight
A switch located on the upper right corner of the PCB on the back of the device controls the backlight (ON/OFF).
5. Use with a Raspberry Pi
A few adjustments are needed for optimal display operation. Edit the config.txt
file using the command: sudo nano /boot/config.txt
.
Under the [all]
section, insert the following lines:
max_usb_current=1
hdmi_group=2
hdmi_mode=1
hdmi_mode=87
hdmi_cvt 1280 800 60 6 0 0
Attention: Ensure there are no spaces around the equal signs.
Save the file using CTRL+O
, confirm with Enter
, and exit with CTRL+X
. Restart the system for changes to take effect.
To reboot, use the command: sudo reboot
.
5.2 Device Connection
Connect the display and Raspberry Pi as follows:
- Connect the LCD's power-only interface to a 5V 2.4A adapter using a Type-A to microUSB cable.
- Connect the LCD's HDMI interface to your Raspberry Pi's HDMI interface using an HDMI cable.
- Connect the LCD's touch interface to one of your Raspberry Pi's USB interfaces.
- Insert a microSD card into the Raspberry Pi's card socket, connect your Raspberry Pi to power, and then turn it on.
6. Display Rotation
You can configure the display orientation for various purposes. Follow these steps:
- Open the application menu.
- Open the settings.
- Open the screen configuration.
In the resulting window (e.g., "Screen Editor"), navigate to Configure > Screens > HDMI-1 > Rotation
and select the desired orientation.
7. Display Calibration
After setting the orientation, calibrate the touchscreen for accurate touch registration.
Open the Terminal and enter the following commands:
cd /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d
sudo nano 40-libinput.conf
In the 40-libinput.conf
file, find the InputClass
for Touchscreen and add the following line under MatchIsTouchscreen "on"
:
Option "TransformationMatrix" "0 1 0 -1 0 1 0 0 1"
Depending on the rotation, different TransformationMatrix
options are required:
- 90°:
Option "TransformationMatrix" "0 1 0 -1 0 1 0 0 1"
- 180°:
Option "TransformationMatrix" "-1 0 1 0 -1 1 0 0 1"
- 270°:
Option "TransformationMatrix" "0 -1 1 1 0 0 0 0 1"
Note: These settings take effect after a system restart.
8. Use with a PC
This display supports Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, and 11. Windows 8 and later support multi-touch gestures (up to 10 points), while some Windows 7 systems support single-touch only.
Device Connection
Ensure connections are made correctly:
- Connect a 5V 2.5A micro USB power supply to the LCD's Power Only port.
- Connect the LCD's touch port to a USB port on your computer.
- Connect the LCD's HDMI port to your computer's HDMI port using an HDMI cable.
If multiple screens are connected, the LCD typically controls the main screen's cursor. The display requires an HDMI input signal to show output. A single tap acts as a left mouse click, and holding the touch performs a right mouse click.
9. Use with a Banana Pi
9.1 Working under Raspbian OS
Install the Raspbian for Banana Pi image file (supports BananaPi Pro and BananaPi).
- Download the packed image file (
.img
extension) to your PC. - Connect a microSD card to your PC and use a program like Win32 Disk Imager. Ensure the microSD card is larger than 4GB.
- In Win32 Disk Imager, select the image file and the microSD card, then click "Write".
9.2 Device Connection
- Connect the LCD to the Banana Pi's HDMI interface.
- Connect the LCD's touch interface to a USB interface on the Banana Pi.
- Connect the LCD's power-only interface to a 5V 2.5A adapter using a Type-A to microUSB cable.
10. Additional Information
Information regarding the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG):
Symbol on electrical and electronic equipment: ?️ (Crossed-out dustbin). This symbol indicates that electrical and electronic appliances should not be disposed of with household waste. They must be returned to a collection point. Waste batteries and accumulators not enclosed by waste equipment must be separated.
Return Options:
- End users can return old devices free of charge for disposal when purchasing a new device, provided the old device serves a similar function.
- Small appliances (under 25 cm external dimensions) can be disposed of in normal household quantities, irrespective of a new purchase.
