Any changes or modifications could void the user's authority to operate the equipment. Interference statement This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device. Wireless notice This device complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment and meets the FCC radio frequency (RF) Exposure Guidelines. This transmitter must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. FCC Class B digital device notice This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: - Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. - Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. - Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. - Consult an authorized dealer for help. List of applicable FCC rules - FCC 15.247 - FCC 15.407 BOSS Snowplow A Division of The Toro Company www.bossplow.com|906.776.3575 800.286.4155|2010 The BOSS Way Iron Mountain, MI 49801 ISO 9001:2015 REGISTERED Summary of the specific operational use conditions The P2 is built on the P2 SMD module manufactured by Particle Industries. The module is using an omnidirectional antenna, no limitation needs to be remarked. Limited module procedures N/A Trace antenna designs Since the antenna is a part of the module, it is not allowed to change the antenna. Antennas This radio transmitter has been approved by FCC to operate with the antenna types listed below with the maximum permissible gain indicated. Antenna types not included in this list, having a gain greater than the maximum gain indicated for that type, are strictly prohibited for use with this device. Type Max Gain PCB Trace Antenna, Omni-directional, 50 Ohm (2.4GHz) 2.41dBi PCB Trace Antenna, Omni-directional, 50 Ohm (5GHz) 1.74dBi RF Exposure Considerations The module has been evaluated and has been approved for mobile use only. A user separation of 20cm must be maintained during operation. Product has been approved with a 50% duty cycle over 6 minutes exposure. Any unauthorized changes in conditions will need a full testing. Label and compliance information The host device shall be properly labelled to identify the modules within the host device. The certification label of the module shall be clearly visible at all times when installed in the host device, otherwise the host device must be labelled to display the FCC ID of the module, preceded by the words "Contains transmitter module", or the word "Contains", or similar wording expressing the same meaning, as follows: Contains FCC ID: 2A8UK-P2 Information on test modes and additional testing requirements The module has been evaluated in portable stand-alone conditions. For different operational conditions from a stand-alone modular transmitter in a host (multiple, simultaneously transmitting modules or other transmitters in a host), full testing is required for the device. Additional testing, Part 15 Subpart B disclaimer The modular transmitter is only FCC authorized for the specific rule parts (i.e., FCC transmitter rules) listed on the grant, and that the host product manufacturer is responsible for compliance to any other FCC rules that apply to the host not covered by the modular transmitter grant of certification. If the grantee markets their product as being Part 15 Subpart B compliant (when it also contains BOSS Snowplow A Division of The Toro Company www.bossplow.com|906.776.3575 800.286.4155|2010 The BOSS Way Iron Mountain, MI 49801 ISO 9001:2015 REGISTERED unintentional-radiator digital circuity), then the grantee shall provide a notice stating that the final host product still requires Part 15 Subpart B compliance testing with the modular transmitter installed. The end product with an embedded module may also need to pass the FCC Part 15 unintentional emission testing requirements and be properly authorized per FCC Part 15.
