Getting Started

The DeLonghi Magnifica Evo is a fully automatic coffee machine designed for making various coffee beverages. It features a grinder, a brewing unit, a steam wand for milk frothing, and a control panel with icons for different drink selections.

Initial Setup

1. Unpack the appliance and all accessories.
2. Ensure the water tank is filled with fresh water.
3. Plug in the power cord.
4. Perform the initial rinse cycle as per the instructions.

Making Coffee

The Magnifica Evo offers several beverage options, including Espresso, Coffee, Long, Americano, Doppio+, and Long Black. The type and number of beverages available may vary depending on the specific model.

To make a coffee:

1. Ensure the water tank and bean hopper are filled.
2. Place a cup under the coffee spout.
3. Select your desired beverage using the control panel icons.
4. Press the start button.

Frothing Milk

Use the steam wand to froth milk for cappuccinos and lattes.

1. Fill a milk jug with cold milk (approx. 5°C).
2. Insert the steam wand into the milk.
3. Activate the steam function.
4. Move the jug to froth the milk until the desired consistency is achieved.
5. Clean the steam wand immediately after use.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance are essential for optimal performance and longevity of the coffee machine.

• Daily Cleaning: Empty and rinse the drip tray and the grounds container. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.
• Weekly Cleaning: Clean the brewing unit. Refer to the "Instructions for use" for detailed steps.
• Descaling: Descale the machine regularly using De'Longhi EcoDecalk descaler or a suitable alternative. Follow the descaling program instructions.
• Water Filter: Replace the water filter as recommended to prevent limescale buildup and ensure water quality.
