General Information

The XPDS 4/24 is a four-channel battery-operated muscle stimulation module that helps to relieve minor muscular aches and pains. It comprises of two main components: an electronic stimulatory module which generates the required stimulation signals and 4 sets of pro-neo neonatal ECG electrode pads with lead wires.

It is intended for temporary pain relief associated with sore and aching muscles in the lower back, upper extremities (arms), lower extremities (legs), and joints due to strain from exercise or normal household work activities. It is also intended to stimulate healthy muscles in order to improve and facilitate muscle performance.

Features

Mode Description

Experiment using each of the 24 modes. The mode or combination of modes that gives you the most desirable sensations and comfort is the most appropriate one to use for your current condition.

Intensity should be set at a level where you will experience some muscular vibration and involuntary muscle movements. It should be set to give a "comfortable" intensity and should not be painful.

Timing of application should be at least 10 to 20 minutes. Frequency of application should be at one to three times per day.

Directions for Use

Three key points for operation:

  1. Find the exact pain point: The points where the electrode pads are attached should be the most painful in normal time.
  2. Intensity: The intensity must be gradually increased, and it's better to reach the highest intensity you can stand.
  3. Application duration: 2-3 times/day, 40-60 minutes/time, over 10 days for one course.

Electrode Placement Variations

Descriptions of electrode placements for different body parts:

Troubleshooting

Problem: The device does not turn on or nothing is visible on the screen.

Cause: The battery is depleted.

Solution: Ensure the battery is fully charged. Use the USB cable or wall charger.

Problem: The battery does not seem to charge.

Cause: The cable is not connected properly.

Solution: Ensure the USB cable is firmly connected to the device on one side and connected to the charger and the power outlet on the other side.

Problem: The unit does not turn on or the screen is very dim.

Cause: The battery is low on charge.

Solution: Recharge the battery.

Problem: The unit is on but no sensation is felt from the electrodes.

Cause: Both electrodes are not firmly attached to the skin / There is a loss of connection.

Solution: Ensure both electrodes are well attached to the skin. Ensure all connections are firmly connected to the device and to the electrodes. The intensity level must be increased.

Problem: One electrode feels stronger than the other.

Cause: This is normal. Different areas will react differently.

Solution: No action needed. Ensure the electrodes are moistened and making good contact.

Problem: The adhesive electrodes do not adhere to the skin even after cleaning and moistening.

Cause: The electrodes need to be replaced.

Solution: Replace the adhesive electrodes. They can be purchased from your local distributor or online at www.hidow.com.

Problem: During use, there is a painful and burning sensation on the skin, or the sensation weakens.

Cause: The adhesive gel electrodes do not adhere firmly to the skin, or they may be too dry.

Solution: Apply a few drops of water to the surface of each electrode and ensure they are pressed firmly onto the skin.

Problem: Did not provide adequate relief.

Cause: The duration of use or frequency is insufficient.

Solution: Use your XPDS 4/24 for 20-60 minutes at a time, 3-6 times a day. Recommendation: Lie down.

Problem: Only one channel of the device is working.

Cause: Damaged port, electrodes, or cable.

Solution: Try another cable, then try another pair of electrodes that you know work on the problematic port/channel.
