DO NOT FLY YOUR HOVER HAWK IN FOUL WEATHER! Avoid flying in rain ?️, thunderstorms ⚡, strong winds ?, or snow ❄️.

Helicopter Warning and Safety Precautions

The helicopter blades revolve at high speeds and can cause damage to the user, spectators, and animals. Stand away from the helicopter to reduce the risk of getting into the flight path. Warn spectators that you will be flying your helicopter so that they are aware of its position. Before flight, inspect the rotor blades to make certain that the blades are securely fastened to the helicopter.

Specific Warnings:

Setup and Preparation

Remote Control Battery Installation

1. Unscrew and remove the battery cover from the bottom of the controller.

2. Install 4 fresh "AAA" alkaline batteries into the controller. Replace the battery cover and secure it.

3. Press the power button. If the power indicator turns on, you have installed your batteries properly.

(Description: Battery compartment on the bottom of the remote control, showing where to insert 4 "AAA" batteries and the cover.)

Charging the Hover Hawk Li-poly Battery

1. Disconnect the battery from the helicopter.

2. Connect the USB charger to the battery charging socket. Caution: The USB plug fits the charging socket only in one way. Do not force it. Improper connection will damage the battery.

3. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a computer's USB port or a UL/CE approved USB wall charger (less than 8 Volts recommended for high-speed adapters).

4. The indicator light on the USB charger will turn solid red while charging and turn off when charging is completed. Average charging time is approximately 35-40 minutes.

5. Once fully charged, the Hover Hawk operates for approximately 6-8 minutes.

Low Battery Indicator:

When the battery is low, the onboard indicator lights will flash blue, indicating approximately one minute of flight time remaining before the helicopter automatically begins to descend and land.

IMPORTANT: ALWAYS UNPLUG THE CHARGING CORD WHEN NOT IN USE!

Installing the Hover Hawk Battery

1. Carefully push the fully charged battery into the Hover Hawk battery compartment until it is flush with the back of the helicopter. Note: The battery only fits one way; never force it.

IMPORTANT: ALWAYS DISCONNECT CHARGER CORD AFTER CHARGING. NEVER LEAVE CHARGER CONNECTED TO HELICOPTER OVERNIGHT OR FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME.

Flight Preparation

Syncing Your Hover Hawk

Ensure the helicopter is on a flat level surface and digital trim settings are centered.

  1. Turn off the controller and helicopter.
  2. Turn on the helicopter; its LED lights should begin to flash.
  3. Quickly turn on the controller; the top red LED light will illuminate.
  4. When you hear a beep, and the indicator lights on both the helicopter and controller stop flashing and stay solid, syncing is complete. If not, repeat steps 1-4.
