Installation Recommendation

Install the string lights under the eaves to create a wall washing lighting effect. (Recommended)

Installation Steps

1. Before installation, connect each string light and plug it into power to make sure every string light can work properly. The string light might not light up if you plug it into power first and then connect the string light sections.

2. Prepare a ladder and make sure it is stable enough or used under another person's assistance. Please do not install the lights on rainy or hot days so as to avoid falling down due to high temperatures or a slippery ladder.

3. Figure out the location of the first string light. Make sure the adapter and control box is long enough to connect to the power supply. Fix the adapter to the wall surface to alleviate the burden of the string lights. Note: The waterproof connector with the red washer on the first string light should connect with the control box.

4. Clean the surface with cloth or tissues where you plan to install the string lights. Make sure the surface is clean and dry. It is recommended to vertically install the string lights 5-10 cm away from the wall surface.

5. Tear off the VHB gum on the back of a light and firmly press it against the surface for more than 5 seconds. The slight rotation of the power cord will not affect the use.

6. Use screw clips to fix the string lights firmly on the eave. Each string light needs 4 screw clips. It is recommended to fix the clips before the first, fifth, and ninth light and after the last one on each string light. The joint between the first string light and the control box, and the power cords at the top of the gable needs to be secured with an extra clip.

7. Connect two string lights via the waterproof connectors. Make sure the red washer on one of the connectors does not fall. Firmly screw the waterproof connector cap. Repeat steps 4, 5, and 6.

8. After connecting all string lights, firmly screw the waterproof connector cap of the last string light section.

9. Plug into power and enjoy your lighting effects.

You have the option to buy the expansion pack of 5m with 12 lights (not including the control box or the adapter) to meet your needs. The string light can extend up to 150ft (9 string light sections).

Pairing Your Light with Govee Home App

What You Need

• A Wi-Fi router supporting the 2.4GHz and 802.11 b/g/n bands. 5GHz is not supported.
• A smartphone or tablet running iOS 8.0 (or above) or Android 4.3 (or above).

Pairing Steps

1. Download Govee Home app from the App Store (iOS devices) or Google Play (Android devices).
2. Turn on the Bluetooth on your smartphone.
3. Open the app, tap the "+" icon in the top right corner and search for "H705B".
4. Tap the device icon and follow the on-screen instructions to complete pairing.

Controlling the Light with Your Voice

1. Open the app, then tap the device icon to enter the details page.
2. Tap the setting icon in the top right corner.
3. Select Using Guidance and follow the on-screen instructions to control the device using your voice.

Troubleshooting

1. The adhesive tape is not strong enough.

   Use the clips to secure the strip lights firmly during installation.

2. Cannot connect to Bluetooth.

   • Do not skip the Bluetooth connection in the app.
   • Ensure the Bluetooth on your smartphone has been turned on.
   • Your smartphone may be incompatible with Govee Home app. Try using a different smartphone then reconnect.
   • Power the light and your smartphone's Bluetooth off then on, then try again.
   • Ensure that your smartphone is within 1m/3.28ft of the light when connecting.
   • Clear any obstructions that are between the light and your smartphone.

3. The light do not display the selected color fully/Some LED beads do not light up.

   Please contact the Govee support team for rapid product replacement.

4. Cannot sync the light to the beat of my music.

   • Move the control box closer to the music source.
   • Clean the mic on the control box then try again.

5. Cannot connect to Wi-Fi.

   • Do not skip the Wi-Fi connecting steps in the app.
   • 5GHz network is not supported. Please set the router to 2.4GHz and then reset it.
   • Connect your smartphone to Wi-Fi and check whether the network works well.
   • Make sure you have entered the correct Wi-Fi name and password.
   • Change your Wi-Fi password to a brief one. 8 numbers and letters are suggested.
   • Connect hotspot in your phone to the lights and check whether the router works with the lights.

6. Cannot connect to Alexa.

   • Pull out every connective part of the lights and firmly re-connect them.
   • Re-connect your smartphone to Wi-Fi.
   • Plug out the adapter port and re-plug it in.
