2. Product Overview
The headset features a microphone, volume controls, LED indicator, micro charging port, and a multi-function button (MFB). It also includes a microphone mute key and a charging base charging interface.
3. Basic Operation
Power on: Long press MFB 3 seconds.
Power off: Long press MFB 3 seconds.
Pairing Mode: Ensure headset is OFF, then press and hold MFB for about 6 seconds until the indicator light alternates between blue and red. If never connected before, long press MFB for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode.
Play / Pause: Short press MFB.
Answer / Hang up / Reject a call: Short press MFB to answer/hang up. Long press to reject.
Audio Switching: When calling, long press MFB 1 second to switch audio to headset.
Redial last call: In standby mode, double press MFB.
Voice dialing: In standby mode, long press MFB 1 second.
Next song: When playing music, long press Volume +.
Last song: When playing music, long press Volume -.
Volume up: Short press Volume +.
Volume down: Short press Volume -.
Microphone Mute: When calling, short press Microphone mute key. Press again to cancel.
4. Bluetooth Pairing and Connection
- Ensure the headset is OFF. Long press the MFB button for about 6 seconds until the indicator light alternates between blue and red. If the headset has never been connected, long press the MFB button for 3 seconds to power on and enter pairing mode.
- Search and connect to “M98” on the phone's Bluetooth device list. The LED turns to Blue LED flash once every 10 seconds after connection. You can now play music or make calls.
4.1 Multi Point Connection
A. Follow steps 1 & 2 to connect with the first device (phone, PC, laptop, etc.). Turn off the Bluetooth function of the first device.
B. Turn off the headset and turn it on again to enter pairing mode. Search and connect to “M98” on the second device's Bluetooth list. The LED turns to low Blue LED flash once every 10 seconds after connection.
C. Turn on the Bluetooth function of the first device and reconnect M98. The headset will connect with both devices.
Notes: Only one phone can play music at a time for multi-point connection. You need to stop playback on one device to play on the other.
5. Charging
Charge the M98 when the Red LED flashes. Charging takes about 2 hours, indicated by a solid Red LED. A solid Blue LED indicates a full charge.
Connection for charging: Use the provided charging cable to connect the M98 to a USB charger (e.g., car charger, power bank, computer USB).
M98 How to use the charging stand: Place the M98 on the charging base, ensuring contact. Connect the Micro USB end of the charging cable to the charging base and the USB end to a USB charger.
Notes: Please charge the M98 at least once every two months when not in use. Use the original charging cable.

7. Attention and Q & A
Q. Multi point connection
A. You can only play music from one phone at a time for multi-point connection; you need to stop playback on one device to play on the other.
Q. Automatic power off
A. The M98 will automatically power off if it remains unconnected to any devices for 10 minutes.
Q. How to reconnect?
A. The M98 will automatically reconnect with paired devices when powered on. If it does not reconnect automatically, find the M98 in your Bluetooth device list and connect it manually.
Q. How to delete the paired records?
A. While powered on, press and hold the Volume "+" button and the Volume "-" button simultaneously for 5 seconds to clear the pairing record. When the indicator light flashes red and blue simultaneously, the pairing record has been cleared, and the headset will not automatically connect to previously connected devices. Try clearing the pairing record if you encounter any connection errors.
Q. Password for connect?
A. For some devices, try 0000, 8888, 1111, or 1234 as the connection password.
Q. Charging power supply?
A. Charging power supply: 5V, ≥500 MAH (using a charger, car charger, computer USB, etc.).
Q. What is the advantage of using single-point microphone?
A. A single-point microphone effectively reduces ambient noise, allowing the other party to clearly hear your voice and improving call quality. The call effect is superior to an ordinary omnidirectional microphone, especially when a microphone bar is required for optimal voice clarity.
