General Warnings:
- Ensure everyone using the appliance is familiar with its operations and safety features. Not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities unless supervised or instructed.
- Intended for residential household and similar applications.
- Keep explosive and flammable substances away from the unit. Do not store similar materials in the refrigerator.
- Disconnect power before servicing.
- Use nonflammable cleaner.
- Use 2 or more people to remove old units and install new ones.
- Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate defrosting, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
- Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
- Do not use electrical appliances inside food storage compartments unless recommended by the manufacturer.
- Do not use an extension cord or ungrounded (two-prong) adapters. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.
- Keep ventilation openings clear of obstructions.
Electrical Safety (DANGER):
- Requires single phase 115V/60Hz power supply with a 3-prong grounding plug. Must be grounded. Do not remove the grounding prong or modify the plug.
- Plug into a dedicated electrical outlet meeting all current standards and requirements. Ensure the appliance is the only item on the circuit; it should have its own dedicated breaker to prevent circuit overload and fire.
- Do not modify the power plug. The plug must be accessible when the appliance is installed.
- Do not turn off the appliance with a switch or other device.
- Ensure the plug is not squashed or damaged to prevent short circuits, electric shock, or overheating.
- Do not insert the power plug if the socket is loose.
- Switch off and disconnect from main power before cleaning or moving.
- Never unplug by pulling the cord; grip the plug firmly and pull straight out.
- Do not operate without the cover over interior lighting.
- Any electrical component must be replaced or repaired by a qualified electrician or authorized service engineer using only genuine replacement parts.
- Do not look directly into the LED light; consult a qualified electrician if it malfunctions.
- The refrigerant (R600a) is flammable. Ensure the refrigerant circuit is not damaged during transport and installation.
- Risk of child entrapment: Before discarding an old appliance, remove the doors and leave shelves in place so children cannot climb inside.
General Precautions (CAUTION):
- Do not store products with flammable propellants or explosive substances.
- Avoid open flames and sources of ignition.
- Thoroughly ventilate the room.
- Unpack and check for damage. If damaged, contact the retailer immediately. Keep all packing materials.
- Wait for 4 hours before connecting the appliance to allow the refrigerant to settle.
General Safety and Daily Use
It is important to use your appliance safely. Follow these guidelines.
This appliance is intended for household and similar applications (e.g., staff kitchens, hotels, B&Bs, catering).
Supervise children to ensure they do not play with the appliance. Store food according to manufacturer instructions.
Do not attempt self-repair. Modifying specifications can be dangerous. Power cord damage can cause short circuits, fire, or electric shock.
Do not place food directly against air outlets, as it affects air circulation. Avoid placing hot items near plastic components.
Do not refreeze thawed food. Do not store bottled or canned drinks (especially carbonated) in the freezer compartment, as they may explode. Consume frozen items cautiously to avoid mouth burns.
Safety for Children and Infirm Persons:
- Keep all packaging away from children to prevent suffocation.
- Protect children from touching the compressor at the rear, which can be hot.
- Do not place items on top of the appliance where they could fall and cause injury.
- Never allow children to play with the appliance by hanging or standing on doors, racks, shelves, or drawers.

Note: For best energy efficiency, place all shelves, drawers, and baskets in their original positions.
Installing Your New Appliance
Ventilation: Maintain good ventilation around the appliance for cooling system efficiency and energy saving. Allow sufficient clearance:
- At least 3 inches (75mm) at the back.
- At least 3 15/16 inches (100mm) above.
- At least 3 15/16 inches (100mm) on the sides.
- Ensure clearance at the front for doors to open up to 130°.
Placement:
- Place on a flat, hard surface capable of supporting a fully loaded refrigerator.
- The appliance operates best between 12.8°C and 43.3°C (55°F and 110°F).
- Place in a dry location away from direct sunlight, rain, frost, and heat sources (stoves, heaters).
Leveling the Appliance:
- Adjust the bottom feet to ensure the appliance is level and allows for sufficient airflow at the bottom rear.
- To allow doors to close automatically, tilt the top of the appliance backward by 3/8 to 5/8 inches (10 to 15mm).
Installing Handles:
- Remove screw hole covers on the doors.
- Install handle supports (C).
- Place the handle (A) over the supports and fasten with screws (B) using the 3mm Allen wrench.
Tools Needed:
- Not Provided: Philips screwdriver, socket wrench.
- Provided: 5/16" (8mm) socket wrench, 1/8" (3mm) Allen wrench, Spanner wrench.
Refrigerator Door Removal:
If your house door is too narrow, you may need to remove the refrigerator door. Ensure the appliance is unplugged before starting.
- Open the refrigerator door, remove all door bins, then close the door.
- With the door closed, loosen screw (O) and remove the upper hinge cover (E).
- Remove the 3 special flange screws (F) with a socket wrench. Keep the cover for future reference.
- Remove the upper hinge (support the door with your hands).
- Open the door more than 90 degrees, lift it off.
Re-assembling the Refrigerator Door: Assemble in reverse order.
Freezer Door Removal:
- Open the upper door, pull out the freezer door and upper freezer drawer to their final positions.
- Lift the upper freezer drawer off the rail system and push the rails back.
- Lift the lower freezer drawer off.
- Open the freezer door more than 90 degrees.
- Lift the freezer door off as indicated by the arrow.
Re-assembling the Freezer Door: Assemble in reverse order.
Control Panel
Temperature Control:
Recommended initial settings: Refrigerator 4°C (39°F), Freezer -18°C (0°F). Temperatures may vary based on food load and placement.
- °F / °C: Press and hold the "TEMP." button for three seconds to toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius.
- Fridge: Press "ZONE" until "Fridge" icon lights up. Press "TEMP." to adjust. Settings cycle from 34°F to 44°F (1°C to 7°C).
- Freezer: Press "ZONE" until "Freezer" icon lights up. Press "TEMP." to adjust. Settings cycle from -11°F to 7°F (-24°C to -14°C).
- Super Cool: Press "MODE" to activate. The "Super Cool" icon illuminates, and the fridge temperature indicator displays 34°F (1°C). Automatically turns off after 3 hours. Can be turned off manually by pressing "MODE" or adjusting fridge temperature.
- Eco Mode: Press "MODE" to activate energy saving. The "Energy saving" icon illuminates. Fridge temperature defaults to 43°F (6°C) and Freezer to 1°F (-17°C). Can be turned off manually by pressing "MODE" or "TEMP.".
- Super Freeze: Press "MODE" to activate. The "Super Freeze" icon illuminates, and the freezer temperature is set to -11°F (-24°C). Automatically turns off after 52 hours. Can be turned off manually by pressing "MODE" or adjusting freezer temperature. Note: Avoid placing bottled or canned drinks in the freezer when Super Freeze is active.
- POWER: Press and hold "POWER" for three seconds to turn the unit on or off. When on, the icon lights, and the display shows "OF" (Note: The refrigerator stops cooling when power is on).
- Door Alarm: If a door is open for over 2 minutes, the control panel shows "dr". The alarm turns off after about 8 minutes. Close doors to clear the alarm.
- Demo Mode: For store display only. Refrigerator does not cool. To exit, press the leftmost and rightmost keys simultaneously for 3 seconds. Exit Demo Mode promptly if activated unintentionally, as the unit will not cool.
Using Your Appliance
Refrigerator Compartment: Suitable for storing vegetables and fruits. Cover or wrap food to prevent moisture loss or flavor transfer.
Glass Shelves and Door Bins: Adjustable for storing various items. Do not overload.
Crisper Drawer: Designed to keep vegetables and fruits fresh and crisp by maintaining ideal humidity.
Freezer Compartment: Equipped with upper and lower drawers. Refer to the door removal section for instructions on removing drawers.
Cleaning and Care
Clean the appliance (interior and exterior accessories) at least every two months for hygiene and optimal performance.
CAUTION: Ensure the appliance is switched off and unplugged before cleaning.
Exterior Cleaning:
- Use a damp cloth with mild detergent. Wipe dry with a soft cloth.
- Do not use sharp objects, thinners, car detergent, bleach, essential oils, abrasive cleansers, or organic solvents, as they can damage the surface or cause fire.
- Spray water onto the cleaning cloth, not directly onto the surface.
Interior Cleaning:
- Clean the interior regularly. It's easier when food stocks are low.
- Wipe with a weak solution of baking soda and water, then rinse with warm water and wipe dry.
- Ensure all surfaces and removable parts are completely dry before replacing them.
Defrosting (if frost builds up):
- Remove food and accessories. Unplug the appliance and leave doors open. Ventilate the room.
- Wait for frost to melt completely.
- Clean the interior with a dry cloth or sponge.
- Clean removable parts with mild detergent and warm water, rinse, and dry thoroughly.
- Once dry, plug the appliance back in and allow it to cool before restocking.
WARNING: Do not use sharp objects to remove frost.
Door Gasket Cleaning:
- Keep gaskets clean. Wash with mild detergent and warm water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
CAUTION: Ensure door seals are completely dry before powering on the appliance.
Replacing the LED Light:
WARNING: LED light replacement should be done by a competent person.
- Unplug the appliance.
- Remove the light cover by lifting and pulling.
- Hold the LED light with one hand and pull it with the other while pressing the connector latch.
- Replace the LED light, snap it into place, and replace the cover.
Helpful Hints and Tips
Energy Saving Tips:
- Avoid keeping doors open for long periods.
- Keep the appliance away from heat sources (sunlight, ovens).
- Do not set the temperature colder than necessary.
- Do not store warm food or evaporating liquids.
- Place the appliance in a well-ventilated, humidity-free room.
- Do not adjust the crisper/shelf combination if it's designed for energy efficiency.
Hints for Fresh Food Refrigeration:
- Do not place hot food directly into the refrigerator; let it cool first.
- Cover or wrap food, especially strong-flavored items.
- Arrange food to allow free air circulation.
- Meat: Wrap and place on the glass shelf above the crisper drawer. Follow storage times.
- Cooked food, cold dishes: Cover and place on any shelf.
- Fruit and vegetables: Store in the crisper drawer.
- Butter and cheese: Wrap in airtight foil or plastic film.
- Milk bottles: Use a lid and store in door racks.
Hints for Freezing:
- When starting up or after a period of disuse, let the appliance run for at least 2 hours on the coldest setting before adding food.
- Prepare food in small portions for rapid freezing.
- Wrap food in airtight aluminum foil or cling film.
- Do not let fresh food touch already frozen food to avoid temperature rise.
- Consume frozen items cautiously to avoid frost burns.
- Label and date frozen packages to track storage time.
Hints for Storing Frozen Food:
- Ensure frozen food was stored correctly by the retailer.
- Do not refreeze thawed food.
- Do not exceed the food manufacturer's indicated storage period.
Switching Off Your Appliance:
If the appliance will be switched off for an extended period:
- Remove all food.
- Unplug the appliance.
- Clean and dry the interior thoroughly.
- Ensure all doors are slightly wedged open to allow air circulation.
Troubleshooting
WARNING: Do not attempt self-repair. Contact a qualified electrician, authorized service engineer, or the retailer if problems persist after checks.
Problem: Appliance not working correctly
Possible Cause & Solution:
- Check power cord connection.
- Check fuse or circuit breaker; replace if necessary.
- Ambient temperature too low (try setting a colder temperature).
- Freezer may not be operating during or shortly after defrost cycle to protect the compressor.
Problem: Odors from compartments
Possible Cause & Solution:
- Interior may need cleaning.
- Some food, containers, or wrapping may cause odors.
Problem: Noise from the appliance
Possible Cause & Solution:
- Normal noises: Compressor running, air movement (fan), gurgling, popping (defrost), clicking (compressor start).
- Unusual noises: Cabinet not level, back of appliance touching wall, items falling/rolling inside.
Problem: Motor runs continuously
Possible Cause & Solution:
- Temperature setting is too cold.
- Large amount of warm food recently added.
- Ambient temperature is too high.
- Doors are open too long or too often.
- Appliance recently installed or powered off for a long time.
Problem: Frost layer forms in the compartment
Possible Cause & Solution:
- Air outlets may be blocked by food. Ensure proper ventilation.
- Door is not closing completely.
- Refer to the "Cleaning and Care" chapter for frost removal.
Problem: Temperature inside is too high
Possible Cause & Solution:
- Doors opened too frequently or for too long.
- Insufficient clearance on sides, back, or top.
- Adjust temperature settings as per the "Control Panel" chapter.
Problem: Doors do not close easily
Possible Cause & Solution:
- Ensure the top of the refrigerator is tilted back slightly (10-15mm) for automatic closing.
- Check if items inside are preventing the doors from closing.
Appliance Disposal
DANGER: Do not dispose of this appliance with household waste.
Packaging Materials: Packaging with the recycling symbol is recyclable. Dispose of packaging in appropriate waste collection containers.
Before Disposing of the Appliance:
- Remove the main plug from the power outlet.
- Cut the power cord and dispose of it with the main plug.
WARNING: Risk of suffocation! Remove doors from your old refrigerator immediately. Leave shelves in place to prevent children from climbing inside.
Dispose of the appliance only at an approved waste disposal center. Do not expose to flame. Refrigerators contain refrigerant and gases that must be disposed of by professionals.

Warranty
Limited Warranty Coverage: Applies exclusively to the original Forno appliance purchased and installed in the United States or Canada. Coverage is activated on the date of original retail purchase and lasts for two (2) years. It is non-transferable.
Forno will repair or replace any component defective due to materials or workmanship within 2 years of original retail purchase under normal residential use. This includes labor and shipping expenses. Purchaser is responsible for making the product accessible for service.
IMPORTANT: Retain proof of original purchase.
30-Day Cosmetic Warranty: Covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for thirty (30) days from the original retail purchase date. This includes paint blemishes, chips, and macroscopic finish defects. It does NOT cover issues from transport, handling, installation, slight color variations, lighting differences, stains/corrosion from external factors, or labor costs for display/B-stock/out-of-box items.
How to Receive Service: Contact Forno Support to determine the problem and required service procedures. Troubleshooting with customer service is necessary. Provide model number, serial number, and date of purchase.
Warranty Exclusions: The warranty does not cover:
- Commercial use.
- Use for anything other than its intended purpose.
- Repairs by non-authorized parties or use of unauthorized parts.
- Installation not in accordance with local codes.
- Improper storage.
- Defects or missing parts on products sold from displays or out of original packaging.
- Service calls to correct incorrect installation or to connect/convert wiring/gas lines.
- Service calls for instructions on product use.
- Issues arising from non-residential use.
- Wear and tear of components (seals, knobs, shelves, etc.), scratched or broken glass tops.
- Lack of/improper maintenance (residues, stains, scratches, corrosion).
- Accidents, alterations, misuse, abuse, or improper installation.
- Product transport, logistics, and handling damage (inspect upon delivery).
- External forces beyond Forno's control (wind, rain, fire, flood, extreme temperatures, power surges, lightning, acts of God).
- Products with altered/damaged serial numbers.
- Forno is not liable for damage to surrounding property.
- Forno is not liable if the product is in a remote area or where certified technicians are not available. Purchaser bears transportation costs.
There are no express warranties other than those stated. Forno is not liable for loss of revenue, profits, savings, or other benefits, time away from work, meals, loss of food, travel expenses, remodeling expenses in excess of direct damages, or any other special, incidental, or consequential damages. Recovery will not exceed the purchase price. Purchaser assumes all risk and liability for loss, damage, or injury arising from the use, misuse, or inability to use the product, unless directly caused by Forno's negligence. This limited warranty is non-transferable and states your exclusive remedy.
