Introduction
Common salt (sodium chloride) is made up of sodium and chloride. During installation, salt is dissolved in pool water to create a mild saline solution. As part of the daily filtration cycle, pool water passes through the chlorinator's electrolytic cell, producing chlorine that instantly dissolves in the water. This chlorine destroys bacteria, algae, and oxidizes other organic materials.
Components:
- Control Panel: Electronic control panel with buttons and LED indicators to control the chlorinator and set operating hours.
- Electrolytic Cell (with Titanium Plates): Contains bipolar titanium electrodes that perform electrolysis and produce chlorine when energized by DC current. Chlorine is generated as salt-containing pool water passes through the cell.
- Flow Sensor: Protects the electrolytic cell and ensures adequate water flow through it.
- Water Inlet
- Power Cord
