6. Daily Use
6.1 Power Supply
Connect the washing machine to a power supply (220 V to 240 V~/50 Hz; Fig. 6-1). Please also refer to the INSTALLATION section.
6.2 Water Supply Connection
Before connecting, ensure the water inlet is clean and clear.
Open the tap (Fig. 6-2).
Note: Watertightness
Before use, check for leaks at the joints between the tap and the water inlet hose by opening the tap.
6.3 Laundry Preparation
- Sort clothes by fabric type (cotton, synthetic, wool, or silk) and by level of soiling (Fig. 6-3). Pay attention to the care instructions on the wash labels.
- Separate white clothes from colored clothes. Wash colored textiles by hand first to check if they bleed or get damaged.
- Empty pockets (keys, coins, etc.) and remove very hard decorative items (brooches).
- For laundry without hems, delicate items, and finely woven textiles such as curtains, place them in a laundry bag (hand washing or dry cleaning is more suitable).
- Close zippers, fastenings, and Velcro closures, and ensure buttons are securely sewn.
- Place items without solid hems, delicate underwear (lingerie), and small items such as socks, belts, bras, etc., in a laundry bag.
- Unfold large fabric pieces such as bed sheets and bedspreads, etc.
- Turn jeans and printed, decorated, or brightly colored fabrics inside out; wash them separately if possible.

When the power supply is restored, operation will resume.
- If a power failure interrupts a running wash program, the door will be mechanically locked. To remove laundry, the water level must not be visible through the door's glass porthole - Risk of burns! The water level must be reduced as indicated in the "Pump Filter" section. Then, pull the lever (A) located under the maintenance flap (Fig. 9-1) until the door unlocks with a slight click. Then reassemble all parts.
Note: Unlock the door
When the washing machine is in a safe state (below the water level, visible through the window, and at a certain distance, with the cylinder temperature below 55°C, the inner cylinder has not rotated), it can unlock the doors during operation.
10. Installation
10.1 Preparation
- Remove the appliance from the packaging.
- Remove all packaging materials, including the polystyrene base, and keep them out of reach of children.
- When opening the packaging, you may see water droplets on the plastic bag and the porthole. This is normal and results from water tests performed at the factory.
Note: Packaging Disposal
Keep all packaging out of reach of children and dispose of it in an environmentally friendly manner.
10.2 OPTIONAL: Installation of sound-reducing pads
- When opening the heat-shrink packaging, you will find anti-noise pads that serve to reduce noise. (Fig. 10-1).
- Tilt the washing machine onto its side, with the porthole facing upwards and the lower part of the machine facing you.
- Remove the anti-noise pads and the double-sided adhesive protective film, stick the anti-noise pads under the washing machine casing as indicated in Figure 3 (two longer pads in positions 1 and 3, two shorter pads in positions 2 and 4). Return the machine to its upright position.
10.3 Remove Transport Bolts
The transport protections are designed to secure the anti-vibration components inside the appliance during transport to prevent internal damage. Remove all elements (I, R, S, and T, Fig. 10-2) before use.
- Remove the 4 bolts (T1-T4) (Fig. 10-3).
- Remove the 10 screws (from R1 to R10) from the lower rear reinforcement. Remove the reinforcements (S1 and S2) from the appliance.*HW100/120-B14979. Remove the 4 screws (from R1 to R4) from the lower rear reinforcement. Remove the reinforcements (S2) from the appliance.*HW80-B14979 (Fig. 10-4).
- Remove the 2 iron bars 11 and 12 (Fig. 10-5).
- Close the 6 holes with the blanking plugs (Fig. 10-6).
Note: Keep them in a safe place
Keep the transport bolts in a safe place for later use. Each time you want to move the appliance, first reinstall the bolts.
10.4 Moving the Appliance
If you wish to move the appliance over a long distance, reinstall the removed transport bolts before installation to prevent any damage:
10.5 Aligning the Appliance
Adjust all feet (Fig. 10-7) to achieve complete leveling. This will reduce vibration and noise during use, as well as wear. We recommend using a spirit level for adjustment. The floor should be as stable and flat as possible.
- Loosen the lock nut (1) with a wrench.
- Adjust the height by turning the foot (2).
- Tighten the lock nut (1) against the housing.
10.6 Drainage Connection
Fix the drain hose correctly to the piping. The hose must reach a height between 80 and 100 cm above the lower edge of the appliance!
Always leave the drain hose attached to the clip at the rear of the appliance if possible.
! Warning!
- Use only the supplied connection kit for the connection.
- Never reuse a used connection kit!
- Connect the appliance only to a cold water supply.
- Before connecting, check if the water is clean and clear.
The following connections are possible:
10.6.1 Drain hose to sink
- Hang the drain hose over the edge of a suitably sized sink, using the U-shaped support (Fig. 10-8).
- Properly secure the U-shaped support against slipping.
10.6.2 Drain hose to wastewater drain connection
- The internal diameter of the drain with vent should be 40 mm.
- Place the drain hose approximately 80-100 mm from the wastewater pipes.
- Fix the U-shaped support and attach it securely (Fig. 10-9).
10.6.3 Drain hose connection to sink
- The connection should be located above the siphon.
- A spigot connection is usually closed by a block (A). You must remove it to prevent malfunction (Fig. 10-10).
- Secure the drain hose with a clamp.
! CAUTION! The drain hose must not be submerged in water, and must be securely fixed and leak-free. If the drain hose is on the floor, or if the pipe is less than 80 cm high, the washing machine will drain continuously as it fills (auto-siphoning). The drain hose cannot be extended. If necessary, contact after-sales service.
10.7 Cold Water Connection
Ensure the seals are inserted.
- Connect the water inlet hose to the beveled tip of the appliance (Fig. 10-11). Manually retighten the screw seal.
- The other end is connected to a water tap with a 3/4 inch thread (Fig. 10-12).
10.8 Electrical Connection
Before each connection, check if:
- The electrical supply, socket, and fuse are suitable for the rating plate.
- The power socket is earthed and no multi-socket adapter or extension cord is used;
- The plug and socket correspond perfectly.
- For the UK only: The UK socket complies with the BS1363A standard.
Plug the plug into the socket (Fig. 10-13).
! WARNING! Always ensure that all connections (electrical supply, drain hose, and potable water inlet hose) are solid, dry, and leak-free!
- Ensure these parts are never stepped on, bent, or twisted.
- If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced by the manufacturer (see warranty card) to avoid any risk.
