1 Introduction

1.1 Product Description

This product is a battery-powered snow blower that is used to remove snow from the ground.

Greenworks is committed to continuously improving its products and reserves the right to modify the design and appearance without prior notice.

1.2 Intended Use

This product is designed for snow removal on fields, roads, walkways, and driveways. It should not be used to clear other types of material.

Do not operate the product in snowy areas with excessive debris, dirt, or stones. Avoid usage on slopes exceeding 20 degrees.

5.1 Unfold the Middle Handle

  1. Unlock the quick-release clamps located on both sides of the middle handle.
  2. Extend the middle handle until it reaches a fixed position.
  3. Lock the quick-release clamps to lock the handlebar in place.

5.2 Install the Upper Handle

⚠️ WARNING Do not use parts or accessories that are not recommended by the manufacturer.

  1. Lift the upper handle to the operating position.
  2. Carefully slide the upper handle onto the lower handle shafts. Insert the carriage bolts through the mounting holes to secure the handle in place.

5.3 Install the Chute-Rotation Controller

⚠️ WARNING Be careful not to pinch, crimp, or damage the control cable when installing the handle.

  1. Align the holes in the panel of the chute-rotation controller and the switch box.
  2. Insert the chute-rotation controller screws through the mounting holes.
  3. Securely tighten the screw nuts of the chute-rotation controller with a wrench (not included).

5.4 Install the Chute Deflector

  1. Align the grooves of the discharge chute with the slot on the chute housing. Gently push the discharge chute into its designated position.
  2. Securely tighten the discharge chute screws using a Philips head screwdriver (not included).

6 Operation

6.1 Before Using the Product

6.1.1 Connect the Battery Charger

  1. Connect the battery charger to the voltage and frequency that is specified on the rating plate.
  2. Refer to the Battery Charger Operator Manual for information about how to use the battery charger.

6.2 Adjust the Discharge Chute

You can adjust the discharge chute 180 degrees to change the snow direction.

  1. Move the chute control lever forward to shift the discharge chute to the left. Pull the chute control lever rearward to move the discharge chute to the right.

6.3 Adjust the Chute Deflector

⚠️ WARNING Avoid pushing the deflector too low, as this may result in snow discharging from the rear, which may result in serious injury.

  1. Grab the handle of the chute deflector to adjust the snow throwing distance.
  2. Lower the chute deflector to decrease the distance or raise it to increase the distance.

6.4 Connect the Battery to the Product

⚠️ WARNING Ensure that all parts are properly assembled before inserting the battery.

⚠️ WARNING

Note: The right-side battery compartment (2), as seen from the operator's perspective, provides power, while the left-side compartment (1) serves as on-board battery storage.

6.5 Blue LED Icon

  1. The blue LED icon will flash if the battery voltage is low. To resolve this issue, place the battery at room temperature and initiate charging. Charge the battery until the LED light on the battery indicator flashes green.
  2. The blue LED icon will remain on if the battery temperature is too low. To resolve this issue, bring both the battery and charger into a warm area. Place the battery in the charger and allow it to reach room temperature. Once the battery indicator flashes green, remove the battery from the charger, insert it into the battery compartment, and begin your work.

6.6 Start the Product

  1. While holding the safety switch button, pull the bail lever to begin removing the snow.

ℹ️ NOTE Lower the scraper to the ground to remove the snow.

6.7 LED Headlights

The LED headlights will automatically activate when the product is turned on and deactivate when the product is turned off.

6.8 Adjust the Impeller Speed

  1. Adjust the speed control with your free hand.

To increase the speed, slide the speed control lever towards the [Rabbit Symbol ?].

To decrease the speed, pull the speed control lever towards the [Turtle Symbol ?].

6.9 Stop the Product

  1. Release the bail switch to stop the product.
  2. Open the battery door.
  3. Press the battery release button to remove the battery.

⚠️ WARNING Wait until the impeller has completely stopped before restarting the product. Do not quickly turn the product off and on.

6.10 Cold Weather Operation

The safe battery operation temperature ranges from 1°F (-17°C) to 113°F (45°C).

⚠️ WARNING Do not store or charge battery outside. Battery must be charged and stored indoors before using the product.

If the product does not start:

  1. Remove the battery from the product.
  2. Charge the battery for up to 15 minutes in a warm area, or until the charging light turns green.
  3. Reinstall the battery in the unit.

6.11 Prevent Freeze-up After Use

ℹ️ NOTE: Controls and moving parts may become obstructed by ice. Avoid applying excessive force to the controls. If a control or part becomes unresponsive, start the motor and allow it to run for a few minutes.

7 Maintenance

ℹ️ IMPORTANT Carefully read and understand the safety regulations and the maintenance instructions before you clean, repair, or do any maintenance on the product (Reference Safety regulations and maintenance instructions).

7.1 Maintenance Schedule

The maintenance intervals are based on the assumption of daily product usage. However, if the product is not used on a daily basis, the maintenance intervals may need to be adjusted accordingly.

Clean the product after each use with water, neutral detergent, and a soft cloth.

7.5 Clear a Clogged Discharge Chute Deflector

Do not attempt to unclog the discharge chute deflector until the following steps have been taken:

  1. Release the bail switch.
  2. Wait for 10 seconds to ensure that the impeller have completely stopped.
  3. Turn off the product.
  4. Use the cleaning tool to safely remove the clog.

7.6 Replace the Scraper

Use only approved replacement parts.

⚠️ WARNING Always remove the battery from the product before replacing any parts to ensure a safe working environment.

  1. Turn the product to its side.
  2. Remove the 5 bolts below the deck that attach the scraper to the product.
  3. Remove the worn scraper from the product.
  4. Install and securely tighten the 5 bolts.
  5. Install and tighten the bolts that you removed.

7.7 Replace the Belt

  1. Begin by loosening the screws that secure the belt cover to the frame, then remove the belt cover.
  2. Rotate the large pulley counterclockwise as you carefully remove the existing belt.
  3. Place the new belt onto the pulleys, ensuring it is properly aligned.
  4. Reinstall the belt cover onto the frame and securely tighten the screws.

7.8 Replace the Impeller

  1. Remove the 4 sets of nuts and bolts from the middle steel plate.
  2. Remove the 4 sets of nuts and bolts from each side.
  3. Remove the impellers.
  4. Install the new impellers.
  5. Tighten the 8 sets of nuts and bolts.

7.9 Replace the Skid Plates

Note: The range of adjustable height for skid plates is 1.5mm, when putting the bolts through the U-hole on the skid plates.

  1. Loosen the 2 sets of bolts, spacers, and nuts that attach the skid plates to the snow blower housing.
  2. Remove the skid plates.
  3. Install the new skid plates.
  4. Repeat the same process on the other side.

Symbols on the product or the package of the product mean that the product is not domestic waste. Recycle it at a recycling station for electrical and electronic equipment. This helps to prevent damage to the environment and to persons.

9 Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
The handle is not in position. The bolts are not installed correctly. Adjust the height of the handle and make sure that the knobs and bolts are aligned correctly.
The product does not start. The battery is not charged. Charge the battery by following the procedures in the Battery and Charger manual.
The switch is defective. Have the switch replaced by an authorized service center.
Battery is too cold. Remove battery from snow blower. Place battery on charger and allow to charge for 10 minutes or until the charging light turns green. Remove from charger and install in snow blower for use.
Blue LED light is Flashing - Battery is in Low Voltage Protection. The blue LED icon will flash if the battery voltage is low. To resolve this issue, place the battery at room temperature and initiate charging. Charge the battery until the LED light on the battery indicator flashes green.
Blue LED light is always on - Battery Temperature is Low. The blue LED icon will remain on if the battery temperature is too low. To resolve this issue, bring both the battery and charger into a warm area. Place the battery in the charger and allow it to reach room temperature. Once the battery indicator flashes green, remove the battery from the charger, insert it into the battery compartment, and begin your work.
Battery may require service or replacement. Call toll free helpline, at 1-855-345-3934 or replace battery.
The engine is on, but the impeller does not turn. The belt is damaged. Replace the belt.
A thin layer of snow stays behind. The scraper is damaged. Replace the scraper.
