1 Introduction
1.1 Product Description
This product is a battery-powered snow blower that is used to remove snow from the ground.
Greenworks is committed to continuously improving its products and reserves the right to modify the design and appearance without prior notice.

This product is designed for snow removal on fields, roads, walkways, and driveways. It should not be used to clear other types of material.
Do not operate the product in snowy areas with excessive debris, dirt, or stones. Avoid usage on slopes exceeding 20 degrees.

2 Safety
2.1 Safety Definitions

2.1.1 Training
- Do not allow children under the age of 14 to operate this tool. Children who are 14 years of age or older must read and understand the operating instructions and safety rules in this manual and must be trained and supervised by a parent.
- Read the operating and service instruction manual carefully. Be thoroughly familiar with the controls and the proper use of the appliance. Know how to stop the unit and disengage the controls quickly.
- Never allow children to operate the appliance. Never allow adults to operate the appliance without proper instruction.
- Keep the area of operation clear of all persons, particularly small children, and pets.
- Exercise caution to avoid slipping or falling, especially when operating in reverse.
- Do not use on graveled surfaces.
- Dress Properly – Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. They can be caught in moving parts.
- Wear rubber boots when operating the appliance.

2.1.2 Preparation
- Thoroughly inspect the area where the appliance is to be used and remove all doormats, sleds, boards, wires, and other foreign objects.
- Do not operate the appliance without wearing adequate winter garments. Wear footwear, which will improve footing on slippery surfaces.
- Adjust the housing height to clear gravel or crushed rock surface.
- Never attempt to make any adjustments while the appliance is running (except where specifically recommended by manufacturer).
- Always wear safety glasses or eye shields during operation or while performing an adjustment or repair to protect eyes from foreign objects that may be thrown from the appliance.
- Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to battery pack, picking up or carrying the appliance. Carrying the appliance with your finger on the switch or energizing appliance that have the switch on invites accidents.
- Disconnect the battery pack from the appliance before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing appliance. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the appliance accidentally.
- When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screw or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
- Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
2.1.3 Operation
- Do not put hands or feet near or under rotating parts. Keep clear of the discharge opening at all times.
- Exercise extreme caution when operating on or crossing gravel drives, walks, or roads. Stay alert for hidden hazards or traffic.
- After striking a foreign object, turn the machine off and remove the battery pack, and then inspect it for damage. Repair any damage before restarting and using the machine.
- If the appliance should start to vibrate abnormally, stop the machine and check immediately for the cause. Vibration is generally a warning of trouble.
- Stop the machine whenever you leave the operating position, before unclogging the collector/impeller housing or discharge guide, and when making any repairs, adjustments, or inspections.
- When cleaning, repairing, or inspecting, make certain the collector/impeller and all moving parts have stopped.
- Exercise extreme caution when operating on slopes.
- Never operate the appliance without proper guards, keep other safety protective devices in place and working.
- Never direct the discharge toward people or areas where property damage can occur. Keep children and others away.
- Don't Overreach – Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
- Do not overload the machine capacity by attempting to clear snow at too fast a rate.
- Don't Force appliance – It will perform better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
- Never operate the appliance at high transport speeds on slippery surfaces. Use care when reversing.
- Never direct discharge at bystanders or allow anyone in front of the appliance.
- Disengage power to the collector/impeller when the appliance is transported or not in use.
- Use only attachments and accessories approved by the manufacturer of the appliance (such as wheel weights, counterweights, or cabs).
- Never operate the appliance without good visibility or light. Always be sure of your footing, and keep a firm hold on the handles.
- Walk, never run.
- The machine is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the machine by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the machine.
- Clearing a Clogged Discharge Chute: Hand contact with the rotating impeller inside the discharge chute is the most common cause of injury associated with appliances. Never use your hand to clean out the discharge chute. To clear the chute:
- SHUT THE ENGINE (Motor) OFF!
- Wait 10 seconds to be sure the impeller blades have stopped rotating.
- Always use a clean-out tool, not your hands.
- If the appliance strikes a foreign object follow these steps:
- Stop the appliance. Release the switch.
- Remove the battery pack.
- Inspect for damage.
- Repair any damage before restarting and operating the appliance.
2.1.4 Maintenance
- Check shear bolts; engine-mounted bolt, etc., at frequent intervals for proper tightness to be sure the appliance is in safe working condition.
- Always refer to owner's guide instructions for important details if the appliance is to be stored for an extended period.
- Store Idle appliances Indoors – When not in use, the appliances should be stored indoors in a dry, locked-up place – out of reach of children.
- Check shear bolts and other bolts at frequent intervals for proper tightness to be sure the equipment is in safe working condition.
- Run the appliance a few minutes after throwing snow to prevent freeze-up of the collector/impeller.
- Do not use a battery pack or appliance that is damaged or modified. Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit unpredictable behavior resulting in fire, explosion or risk of injury.
- Do not expose a battery pack or appliance to fire or excessive temperature space. Exposure to fire or temperature above 265°F (130°C) may cause explosion.
- Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery pack or appliance outside of the temperature range specified in the instructions. Charging improperly or at temperatures outside of the specified range may damage the battery and increase the risk of fire.
- Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
- Use appliances only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
- Have servicing performed by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the product is maintained.
- Do not modify or attempt to repair the appliance or the battery pack (as applicable) except as indicated in the instructions for use and care.
- Maintain appliance with care - follow instructions for changing accessories.
- Maintain or replace safety and instructions labels, as necessary.

5 Assembly
This section describes how to assemble and adjust the product.

5.1 Unfold the Middle Handle
- Unlock the quick-release clamps located on both sides of the middle handle.
- Extend the middle handle until it reaches a fixed position.
- Lock the quick-release clamps to lock the handlebar in place.

5.2 Install the Upper Handle
⚠️ WARNING Do not use parts or accessories that are not recommended by the manufacturer.
- Lift the upper handle to the operating position.
- Carefully slide the upper handle onto the lower handle shafts. Insert the carriage bolts through the mounting holes to secure the handle in place.

5.3 Install the Chute-Rotation Controller
⚠️ WARNING Be careful not to pinch, crimp, or damage the control cable when installing the handle.
- Align the holes in the panel of the chute-rotation controller and the switch box.
- Insert the chute-rotation controller screws through the mounting holes.
- Securely tighten the screw nuts of the chute-rotation controller with a wrench (not included).

5.4 Install the Chute Deflector
- Align the grooves of the discharge chute with the slot on the chute housing. Gently push the discharge chute into its designated position.
- Securely tighten the discharge chute screws using a Philips head screwdriver (not included).

6 Operation

6.1 Before Using the Product
6.1.1 Connect the Battery Charger
- Connect the battery charger to the voltage and frequency that is specified on the rating plate.
- Refer to the Battery Charger Operator Manual for information about how to use the battery charger.

6.2 Adjust the Discharge Chute
You can adjust the discharge chute 180 degrees to change the snow direction.
- Move the chute control lever forward to shift the discharge chute to the left. Pull the chute control lever rearward to move the discharge chute to the right.

6.3 Adjust the Chute Deflector
⚠️ WARNING Avoid pushing the deflector too low, as this may result in snow discharging from the rear, which may result in serious injury.
- Grab the handle of the chute deflector to adjust the snow throwing distance.
- Lower the chute deflector to decrease the distance or raise it to increase the distance.

6.4 Connect the Battery to the Product
⚠️ WARNING Ensure that all parts are properly assembled before inserting the battery.

- If the battery or charger is damaged, replace the battery or the charger.
- Wait until the engine completely stops before removing the battery.
- Carefully read and understand the instructions in the Battery and Charger Manual before operating the product.
Note: The right-side battery compartment (2), as seen from the operator's perspective, provides power, while the left-side compartment (1) serves as on-board battery storage.

6.5 Blue LED Icon
- The blue LED icon will flash if the battery voltage is low. To resolve this issue, place the battery at room temperature and initiate charging. Charge the battery until the LED light on the battery indicator flashes green.
- The blue LED icon will remain on if the battery temperature is too low. To resolve this issue, bring both the battery and charger into a warm area. Place the battery in the charger and allow it to reach room temperature. Once the battery indicator flashes green, remove the battery from the charger, insert it into the battery compartment, and begin your work.

6.6 Start the Product
- While holding the safety switch button, pull the bail lever to begin removing the snow.
ℹ️ NOTE Lower the scraper to the ground to remove the snow.
6.7 LED Headlights
The LED headlights will automatically activate when the product is turned on and deactivate when the product is turned off.

6.8 Adjust the Impeller Speed
- Adjust the speed control with your free hand.
To increase the speed, slide the speed control lever towards the [Rabbit Symbol ?].
To decrease the speed, pull the speed control lever towards the [Turtle Symbol ?].

6.9 Stop the Product
- Release the bail switch to stop the product.
- Open the battery door.
- Press the battery release button to remove the battery.
⚠️ WARNING Wait until the impeller has completely stopped before restarting the product. Do not quickly turn the product off and on.
6.10 Cold Weather Operation
The safe battery operation temperature ranges from 1°F (-17°C) to 113°F (45°C).
⚠️ WARNING Do not store or charge battery outside. Battery must be charged and stored indoors before using the product.
If the product does not start:
- Remove the battery from the product.
- Charge the battery for up to 15 minutes in a warm area, or until the charging light turns green.
- Reinstall the battery in the unit.
6.11 Prevent Freeze-up After Use
ℹ️ NOTE: Controls and moving parts may become obstructed by ice. Avoid applying excessive force to the controls. If a control or part becomes unresponsive, start the motor and allow it to run for a few minutes.
- Start the motor and let it run for a few minutes. Stop the engine and wait for all moving parts to come to a complete stop.
- Remove snow and loose ice from the product exterior and base of the discharge chute.
- Rotate the chute deflector to the left and right to remove ice and water.
- Press the safety switch button.
- Pull the starter rope handle several times to remove ice and water.
6.12 Recommendations for Effective Snow Throwing
- Adjust the speed of the product according to the snow conditions using the drive speed control lever. Ensure that the product evenly throws snow.
- It is recommended to remove snow promptly after it falls for easier and more efficient clearing.
- Whenever possible, throw snow downwind for optimal results.
- The scraper bar can be reversed when it becomes worn almost to the edge of the housing. Replace the scraper bar if it is damaged or worn on both sides.
- Avoid operating the chute deflector if it is clogged.
- In the event that the product does not move forward due to unforeseen circumstances, immediately release the bail lever or press the safety switch button to stop the product.
7 Maintenance

7.1 Maintenance Schedule
The maintenance intervals are based on the assumption of daily product usage. However, if the product is not used on a daily basis, the maintenance intervals may need to be adjusted accordingly.

7.2 General Inspection
- Check and tighten all nuts and screws on the product.
- Make sure to properly route and secure all cables to prevent them from being damaged.
7.3 Clean the Product
Clean the product after each use with water, neutral detergent, and a soft cloth.
⚠️ CAUTION
- Keep water away from battery compartment while washing to avoid damaging the electrical components.
- DO NOT clean with alcohol, gasoline, acetone, or other corrosive/volatile solvents. These substances may damage the external and internal structure of your mower.
- DO NOT rub with sandpaper or metal brush.
7.4 Clean the Battery and Battery Charger
⚠️ WARNING DO NOT clean the battery or the battery charger with water.
- Make sure that the battery and the battery charger are clean and dry before you insert the battery into the battery charger.
- Clean the battery terminals with compressed air or use a soft and dry cloth.
- Clean the surface of the battery and the battery charger with a soft and dry cloth.
7.5 Clear a Clogged Discharge Chute Deflector
Do not attempt to unclog the discharge chute deflector until the following steps have been taken:
- Release the bail switch.
- Wait for 10 seconds to ensure that the impeller have completely stopped.
- Turn off the product.
- Use the cleaning tool to safely remove the clog.
7.6 Replace the Scraper
Use only approved replacement parts.
⚠️ WARNING Always remove the battery from the product before replacing any parts to ensure a safe working environment.
- Turn the product to its side.
- Remove the 5 bolts below the deck that attach the scraper to the product.
- Remove the worn scraper from the product.
- Install and securely tighten the 5 bolts.
- Install and tighten the bolts that you removed.

7.7 Replace the Belt
- Begin by loosening the screws that secure the belt cover to the frame, then remove the belt cover.
- Rotate the large pulley counterclockwise as you carefully remove the existing belt.
- Place the new belt onto the pulleys, ensuring it is properly aligned.
- Reinstall the belt cover onto the frame and securely tighten the screws.

7.8 Replace the Impeller
- Remove the 4 sets of nuts and bolts from the middle steel plate.
- Remove the 4 sets of nuts and bolts from each side.
- Remove the impellers.
- Install the new impellers.
- Tighten the 8 sets of nuts and bolts.

7.9 Replace the Skid Plates
Note: The range of adjustable height for skid plates is 1.5mm, when putting the bolts through the U-hole on the skid plates.
- Loosen the 2 sets of bolts, spacers, and nuts that attach the skid plates to the snow blower housing.
- Remove the skid plates.
- Install the new skid plates.
- Repeat the same process on the other side.

8 Transportation, Storage, and Disposal
8.1 Transportation
- Any removable (electronic) parts, such as the charger and battery, should always be disconnected before transport.
- Avoid transporting the product in bad weather conditions when possible.
- Properly cover any exposed electronic parts during transport when transport in bad weather conditions cannot be avoided.
- High speeds, along with wind, and rain may force moisture into the electronic components, which can lead to temporary malfunctions or permanent defects.
- In case of malfunction occurring after transport in such conditions, remove the battery and allow all parts to air-dry when you reach your destination.
8.2 Disposal of the Battery, Battery Charger, and Product
Symbols on the product or the package of the product mean that the product is not domestic waste. Recycle it at a recycling station for electrical and electronic equipment. This helps to prevent damage to the environment and to persons.

90-Day Warranty
Renewed/Refurbished products and batteries are protected against all defects in materials, parts or workmanship under normal use for a period of 90 days from the shipping date or in-store purchase date. All sales are final, no returns.
Transportation Charges
Transportation charges for the movement of any power equipment unit or attachment are the responsibility of the purchaser. It is the purchaser's responsibility to pay transportation charges for any part submitted for replacement under this warranty unless such return is requested in writing by Greenworks.
