To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the power cord in any liquid. 2. Power off device when not in use and before cleaning. 3. The use of accessory attachments not recommended or sold by Body Balance System may cause injuries. 5. Do not use this device outdoors. 6. To disconnect, ensure the power button is in the off position, then remove the plug from the surge protector. Grip plug and pull from the surge protector. Never pull on the cord. 7. Do not use the ApolloARC for any other intended use without prior authorization from a medical professional. Plug the power cord into a surge protector that is plugged into a grounded outlet. 2. Have client undress the area they want treated, then have them lay down and relax. 3. For protection, users must wear eye protection prior to the lights on the device being turned on. 4. Moving the arm up or down, and moving the panels into place, contour the device to the treatment area and bring it no more than 1" away from the skin. 5. To start the session, simply push the "Start" button and a 12 minute session will begin. 6. When the session has ended the timer will expire and the lights will be turned off. 7. To turn LED lights off at any time during a timed session simply press the "Start" button again. 8. At the end of every session, a staff member must unplug the device in between uses. 9. To turn LED lights off at any time during a timed session simply push the "Power" button. 10. It is a requirement in the ApolloARC User Manual that the plastics of the ApolloARC are cleaned* after every use. (see cleaning instructions below) The user can tell the power is activated by the posotion of the switch when it is pressed in. Recommended Session Protocol: 2-3 times per week for 3-4 weeks (10 sessions) BBS_ARC_INS_Rev 5 Safe contact conditions of the device: · The applied part surface temperature may exceed 41°C during normal operation. Users must adhere to recommended exposure durations to avoid discomfort (12 minutes). · The individual patient should only use the device for a single specified session time/exposure duration within 48 hours. (12 minutes) · Devices minimum off time of 10 minutes between sessions must be adhered to between patients to ensure time for device cooldown and sanitization. · Discontinue use immediately if skin discomfort, redness, or burning sensations occur during treatment. Spray disinfectant directly onto a soft microfiber cloth 2. Wipe down all surfaces of the polycarbonate plastic with the cloth and solution that meets the requirements below: Any disinfectant containing Hydrogen Peroxide or Isopropyl Alcohol are compatible with the polycarbonate sheet so long as they do not include anything from the ingredients to avoid, below: *Avoid using products containing aldehydes, phenols, hydroxides or amines as the active ingredient. Avoid disinfectants containing bleach or ammoniated chloride. The entire polycarbonate surface of the device emits optical radiation to the user (see circled area on figure 2, above) BBS_ARC_INS_Rev 5 Contraindications: · Epilepsy · Pregnancy/Lactating/Breast Feeding · Liver/Kidney Disorder · Pacemakers · Uncontrolled Hypertension · Severe Thyroid Gland Dysfunction · Cancer · Immunosuppressed · Heart Disease/Cardiac Arrhythmias · Persons suffering from sunburn · Persons under medical care for diseases that involve photo sensitivity · Persons receiving photo sensitizing medications If your client has any of the above medical issues, or if they have questions about specific health issues, have them seek approval from a medical professional prior to using this medical electrical equipment. If there is any pain or discomfort during the session it should be discontinued immediately. This device is not intended to be used, cleaned, or maintained by individuals under the age of 18. If unexpected side effects such as itching occur within 48 hours of the first session of using the ApolloARC, medical advice should be sought before further exposure. Session Protocol: The recommended exposure is 12 minutes per session. You must allow 48 hours between sessions. BBS_ARC_INS_Rev 5 ApolloARC 5 Year Warranty The Body Balance System ApolloARC limited warranty covers parts and labor for 5 years after the purchase date of your product. Systems damaged due to extreme misuse are not covered under warranty. The warranty does not cover the following: Accidental breakage or abuse, lightning damage, using the equipment other than for its intended purpose, using the equipment beyond the guidelines supplied. Further, water damage to the power supply is not covered as well as if the equipment has been left plugged in between uses or damaged by a power surge. Warranty is void if ApolloARC unit is opened unauthorized. This information is for educational purposes only. Power Supply Specifications: · The ApolloARC operates off one 24V DC power supplies to bring power to the lights. · The device input is rated at 115/230V. How the Product Functions: · The patient lies down under the ApolloARC while a technician manipulates the arm, moving it up and down and adjusting panels to contour it to the area the patient wishes to treat. The technician then makes sure the device is no less than 1" above the skin. Then, they press the `Start' button. Once the device turns on, it will remain active for 12 minutes. After the session time concludes, the lights turn off automatically. Temp Conditions: · Indoor environments between 65-85° F with a humidity of less than 50%. Number of Cycles the ApolloARC Can Tolerate: · LEDS-300,000 12 min. sessions.
