DocumentDocumentXpert Alert® RF Alarm Operation Guide Alarm LED Pairing Button Signal Strength Step 1: Installation Mount and wire the alarm according to the installation instructions. ***Maximum distance between modules should be 200ft. Step 2: Signal Strength Check Press pairing button for 1 second on the panel module to enter setup mode for fast signal strength updates. Reposition the indoor module until 1 or more signal LEDs are illuminated green. Step 3: Test Alarm Verify the alarm is functioning by triggering an alarm condition on the outdoor panel and verify the indoor Xpert Alert® alarm is alarming. Alarm LED on Xpert Alert® RF and Xpert Alert® alarms will illuminate amber in color when alarming and the audible alarm will sound. For Xpert Alert® WiFi alarm units, verify a text or email notification of alarm was received. Within 10 minutes press and hold pairing button on alarm module for 10 seconds (signal LEDs will flash when in pairing mode) . · Upon being paired (typically less than 30 seconds) they will automatically go into setup mode. ·If pairing is unsuccessful, modules are out of range from one another, move units closer to one another. · Repeat step 3: Test alarm, after pairing units. The alarm does not power up with Xpert Alert® alarm battery backup: -Xpert Alert® RF alarm does not function on the Xpert Alert® alarm battery backup power.
