Installation Guide
-
Before beginning installation, turn off the power supply at the electrical panel.
-
Determine the location in the ceiling where you will install the recessed light fixture. Using the provided cutting template, cut a hole in the ceiling with a drywall saw. (Fig. 1)
Figure 1 illustrates using a template to mark and cut a circular opening in the ceiling for the recessed fixture.
-
Run the electrical wire through the hole and connect it to the electrical box. (Fig. 2)
Figure 2 shows the electrical wire being routed through the ceiling opening and connected to the electrical junction box.
-
Open the electrical box and remove the appropriate knockouts.
-
Insert the power cable through one of the knockouts and secure it with a cable connector.
-
Connect the green ground wire on the cable to the green wire in the electrical box. Repeat for the remaining two wires: white wire to white wire, black wire to black wire. (Fig. 3)
Figure 3 details the internal wiring connections within the electrical box: the green ground wire from the fixture connects to the green wire in the box, the white wire connects to white, and the black wire connects to black.
-
Place all wiring and connections back into the electrical box and close the cover.
-
Connect the electrical box wire to the light fixture wire. (Fig. 4)
Figure 4 depicts connecting the wiring from the electrical box to the light fixture's wiring.

Push the spring-loaded clips on the light fixture upwards and insert the base into the mounting hole. Release the clips so that the fixture is flush with the ceiling. (Fig. 5 and 6)
Figures 5 and 6 show the process of inserting the light fixture into the ceiling opening. The spring-loaded clips are pushed upwards to allow insertion, then released to secure the fixture flush with the ceiling.
