  2. Download the "Home and Pet" app from your phone's app store or by scanning the provided QR code [QR Code for App Download].
  3. Open the app, register an account, log in, and follow the on-screen instructions to add and bind the equipment.
  4. After binding, pour cat litter (maximum 6 L) into the drum bin. Re-power the device (unplug for 15 seconds, then plug back in).
  5. You can now access the device control page via the app and start using the smart litter box in automatic mode.

For detailed configuration or further assistance, refer to the subsequent sections.

4 Operation Introduction

4.1 Connection APP

To utilize all features, configure the network for the equipment. The smart cat litter can connect via WiFi for remote control and viewing through the app.

Download the "Have a Favorite" app (search or scan QR code). After installation, prepare for network configuration.

Ensure the equipment is placed on a flat, solid ground, with its four support feet making proper contact. Avoid soft surfaces.

Before starting, ensure the device is powered off and all covers/drawers are correctly installed with no sundries inside.

Steps for Network Configuration:

  1. Device Binding: Press and hold the button on the front of the device, then plug in the power supply. Release the button when you hear two beeps. Follow app prompts.
  2. WiFi Setup: Switch your phone's WiFi to the network broadcast by the device (typically starting with 'yjyc_'). You may need to enter your home WiFi credentials (2.4G/5G band). Ensure correct password entry.
  3. Binding Device: Once connected, give the device a name in the app. Upon successful binding, the device will appear in "My Equipment".

Note: If the 'yjyc_' WiFi is not visible, unplug the device, wait 10 seconds, then press and hold the button while plugging it back in.

Device Control Page

The device control page displays:

  • Cat litter volume: Indicates the remaining proportion of cat litter.
  • Bin Bin: Shows the used space in the waste bin.
  • Mode: Displays the current operating mode (automatic, manual, night).
  • Status: Shows the device's current state (standby, cleaning, pause, resetting, etc.).

Available functions via buttons/app:

  • Reset: Resets the drum to its initial position, useful if it's not aligned or after adding litter. Ensure no cat is nearby before resetting.
  • Clean up: Separates feces and litter within the drum.
  • Clearance: Clears all waste and litter from the drum into the storage drawer, typically used when replacing litter.
  • Deodorization: Activates the ozone sterilization and deodorization function for approximately 1 minute.

Access notifications and logs via the message icon ✉️, and device settings via the settings icon ⚙️.

Device Settings Page

The settings page allows configuration of:

  • Device Name: Modify the device's name.
  • Automatic Mode: Enable/disable automatic cleaning after the cat uses the toilet.
  • Waiting Time: Set the delay (in seconds) before cleaning starts after the cat leaves. A 30-second delay is recommended.
  • Sleep Time: Define a period during which the device will not perform automatic cleaning.
  • Cat Litter Weight: Input the weight of 6L of cat litter to help the device calculate remaining litter.
  • Notification Settings: Enable/disable push notifications from the device.
  • Device Sharing: Share device access with other users via their app accounts.

4.2 Add Cat Litter

Supported Cat Litter Types:

  • Bean curd sand compatibility: Supports strip pure bean curd sand, mixed bean curd sand, and granular sands like bentonite and millet sand.

Recommended Litter: "Monicoli" or "A pet" mixed cat litter and sodium-based litter are recommended for their deodorizing and agglomeration properties.

Add cat litter through the drum door when the equipment is not running or cleaning. The maximum capacity is 6 L. Exceeding this may affect performance.

After adding litter, restart the device (unplug for 15 seconds, then plug in) or use the reset button in the app. Failure to do so may delay litter data updates and automatic cleaning.

4.3 Mode of Operation

The HM-CATBOX offers three operating modes, configurable via the app:

  • Automatic Mode: The default mode. The device automatically cleans after detecting the cat has finished. Cleaning is triggered after a set delay (e.g., 30 seconds).
  • Sleep Patterns: When enabled, automatic cleaning is suspended during the set sleep time. Manual cleaning is still possible.
  • Manual Mode: The device does not automatically detect or clean. Cleaning must be initiated manually via the device button or app. This mode is for users who prefer manual control.

Note: To enable Sleep Mode, Automatic Mode must be active. If both Automatic Mode and Sleep Time are off, the device operates in Manual Mode.

Manual cleanup can be performed at any time using the device button or the app's "Clean up" function.

In automatic mode, the device provides reminders for low litter, full waste bin, or other abnormalities via the app.

4.4 Clearance Function

The clearance function allows for easy replacement of cat litter. It cleans all litter from the drum into the storage drawer.

To initiate clearance, press and hold the device button for over 7 seconds until a beep is heard, or use the "Clearance" button in the app.

Important:

  • Ensure the storage drawer has sufficient space before clearance.
  • Do not unplug the power during the clearance process.
  • Do not interrupt the operation.
  • Observe the entire process.
  • You can stop the task by pressing the device button if the drum is at the bottom. Use the provided brush for further cleaning if needed, then press the button again or continue via the app.
