1. Installation and Components
The Axess+ unit is designed for installation in an equipment rack. Use the supplied nuts, bolts, and washers to mount the unit through the designated mounting holes [A], following local regulations.
1.1 AC Power: Output
Plug the equipment power cord [B] into the suitable outlet on the Axess+ unit as needed. Refer to the full manual for details on specific model outlet types.
1.2 AC Power: Input
Connect the Axess+ unit to a power source using the provided 3-wire grounding type power cord into the input inlet [V]. Ensure the outlet is properly rated, has correct polarity, and a ground conductor. Do not use a relocatable power tap.
1.3 Ethernet
The RJ-45 Ethernet connector [D] on the front panel is used for setup and debugging. The default IP address is assigned via DHCP. The mDNS protocol is supported for device discovery. To find the IP address, use the discovery tool at amatekesp.com.

1.4 USB-Micro AB
The USB-Micro AB connector [E] is for diagnostics and troubleshooting IP connectivity. Access the web server by manually entering the static IP address https://169.254.10.100
into a supported browser. This interface is always accessible via HTTP on port 80 and cannot be changed.
1.5 LED Indicators
Individual power indicator LEDs [F] are present for each outlet. The unit also features a general power LED [G]. A self-test status is indicated by [C].
1.6 Buttons
1.6.1 Resettable Fuse
The resettable fuse button [H], located near the Ethernet jack, can reset the Axess+ if a fuse trips. There are also separate reset switches for hardware and software.
1.6.2 Hardware Reset
The Hardware Reset button [I] performs a hard reboot of the processor. This action will immediately switch off all controlled outlets, cutting power to connected equipment.
1.6.3 Software Reset
The Software Reset button [J] has dual functionality based on press duration:
- Press and hold for longer than 10 seconds: Resets the unit to factory defaults, erasing all custom configurations.
- Press and hold for less than 10 seconds: Performs a software reset without affecting data or cycling power to connected equipment.
2. Rack Installation
The Axess+ unit is designed for installation in standard equipment racks. Use the provided mounting hardware (nuts, bolts, washers) to secure the unit through the mounting holes [A], [B], [C], or [D], adhering to local regulations.
Rack Mounting Options
The unit can be mounted using ear brackets in several configurations:
- Option: Mounting Ear Mount Bracket at Front: Secure ear mount brackets to the unit using eight flat head screws.
- Option: Mounting Ear Mount Bracket at Rear: Secure ear mount brackets to the unit using eight flat head screws.
- Option: Mounting Ear Mount Bracket at the Center: Secure ear mount brackets to the unit using eight flat head screws.
Horizontal Mounting: Mount the unit on 19" rack holes provided in the channel and secure using four Pan head screws.

Safety Information
⚠️ DANGER
- This unit is intended for indoor use only.
- Do not install where excessive moisture or heat is present.
- Never install wiring, equipment, or units during a lightning storm.
- Plug the unit into a three-wire, grounded power outlet connected to appropriate branch circuit/mains protection (fuse or circuit breaker).
- Install the unit so the wall socket-outlet is readily accessible.
- Use only supplied brackets and hardware for mounting.
- Do not use extension cords or adapters.
- If a socket-outlet is not accessible, one shall be installed.
- Do not work alone under hazardous conditions.
- Check power cord, plug, and socket for good condition.
- Disconnect the unit from power before installing or connecting equipment to reduce electric shock risk when grounding cannot be verified. Reconnect only after all connections are made.
- Installation requiring verification of protective earthing connection must be done by a skilled person.
- This equipment is not suitable for locations where children are likely to be present.
- Use a protective earth connector with equipment.
- Do not exceed a total leakage current of 3.5 mA.
- Do not handle metallic connectors before power is removed.
- Use one hand when connecting/disconnecting signal cables to avoid shock from different grounds.
- This unit has no user-serviceable parts. Repairs must be performed by factory-trained personnel.
- The unit is intended for installation and operation by a skilled person in a controlled, restricted-access location.
- Ensure the ambient operating temperature of the rack environment does not exceed the rated temperature for the device.
- Ensure the unit is mounted securely and evenly.
- Use only supplied hardware to avoid electrical shock and equipment damage.
Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.
3. Access to the Graphic User Interface via Computer
The Axess+ unit features an internal web server for setup and configuration. Access is available via two methods:
3.1 RJ-45 Ethernet Port
- Connect the Axess+ to a standard Ethernet network.
