Introduction to the XieGu CE-19 Data Interface Extension Unit
Document Revision: 20240228
Product Overview
The XieGu CE-19 is a data interface extension unit designed to enhance the functionality of the ACC port on XieGu X5105 and G90 amateur radio transceivers. It provides convenient access for connecting to PCs, data terminals, and modems. The unit extends the standard MINI-DIN8 interface to a 3.5mm stereo socket and the MINI-DIN6 interface to the XPA125 interface, offering versatility for users. The following description uses the X5105 as an example.

The CE-19 board features a circular layout with several connection points clearly labeled. These include:
- PTT CON
- AF CON
- DATA CON
- FROM X5105
- TO XPA125
- Power indicator LED: Illuminates when the unit is connected to the X5105.
- Launch light: Activates when the X5105 is transmitting.
Interface Description
The CE-19 unit offers several distinct interface ports. The specific terminal definitions for each interface are printed directly on the cover of the CE-19 unit.
Figure 2: Interface Distribution and Port Definitions
This section details the primary interface ports and their functions:
- PTT CON (8-pin MINI-DIN): This port serves as the PTT signal and BAND signal output. The PTT signal is completely isolated from the host radio, facilitating linkage with the host's "low" trigger mechanism.
- 6PIN-MINIDIN-AF CON: This is the dedicated interface for the XPA125. It functions as an Audio input/output port. Audio output from this port is directly provided after demodulation, without any filtering applied.
- DATA CON (8-pin MINI-DIN): This port is designated for data output. The audio output from this port passes through an active filter integrated within the unit. Both terminals of this port are wired in parallel, ensuring the output signal is identical from each.
- The definitions for each extended port are identical to those of the corresponding ports on the ACC port of the X5105 host. For detailed specifications, please consult the X5105 manual.
- For the precise definition of the terminal expansion port, refer to the indication information printed on the surface of the expansion card itself.
- When utilizing the CE-19 for amateur radio data communication, the audio input and output should be connected to the AF CON interface.
