Device Layout and Components
Familiarize yourself with the key features of your R717 Mobile Hotspot:
- Display: View device status and information.
- SIM card slot: For SIM card installation.
- AC Charging micro USB port: Connect the charger for power.
- Battery cover: Access the battery and SIM card.
- Settings Reset button: Resets the device to default settings.
- Power (Menu) button: Powers the device on/off and navigates information.
SIM Card and Battery Installation
Proper installation of the SIM card and battery is crucial for device operation. Ensure the device is powered off before inserting or removing the SIM card or battery. Align battery contacts correctly and secure the battery cover.
Charging Your Device
Use the provided micro-USB charger and AC adapter to charge your R717 Mobile Hotspot. The indicator light on the power button shows charging status (red for charging, green for fully charged). Avoid charging in extreme temperatures or high humidity.
Connecting to Your Hotspot
To connect your Wi-Fi enabled devices:
- Turn on your hotspot and the device you wish to connect.
- Open Wi-Fi settings on your device.
- Select your Hotspot's Wi-Fi name (SSID) and enter the password displayed on the Hotspot's LCD screen.
