7.1 Virtual Surround Sound RGB Gaming Headset
Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the Viper V380 gaming headset. This headset comes equipped with a 7.1 virtual surround sound engine that brings true-to-life 360° audio to immerse you deep in the game. The 53mm drivers produce crystal clear audio range, and a deep bass response for gaming or musical enjoyment.
The integrated omni-directional microphone can transmit high quality communications with a premium environmental noise cancellation function (ENC). It picks up voice with great sensitivity and removes background noise, enabling crystal clear communications during gameplay. It features a flexible, removable mic design for ideal positioning, and an LED indicator to signal Mic On/Off function.
The manual controls for the headset are located directly on the left ear cup for quick access, eliminating the need for a bulky and heavy control unit on the headset cord.

Installation
Hardware Installation
Connect the headset to the computer's USB port. Wait 5-10 seconds for the headset to be recognized by the computer.
Headset Controls:

Software Installation
Please download the headset software from the product page at http://www.patriotmemory.com to adjust the headset, surround sound, sound effects, profiles, and more.
Once the software is downloaded, double-click on the software to start the installation. Follow the onscreen instructions to finish the process.
Launch the Viper Audio Center: Double-click the (Viper) icon in the system tray to launch the headset software.
Speaker Settings
Volume Controls
Adjust the L and R speaker volume to desired levels by moving sliders up or down. Click the lock icon ? to adjust independently or together. Adjust microphone volume in the same manner. You can mute and unmute the speakers ? and mic ? by clicking on the speaker icon above the sliders.
Equalizer Settings
Expand the equalizer settings on the left of the screen to turn ON/OFF the equalizer. You may also turn ON/OFF the equalizer by clicking the Equalizer button on the right. To adjust frequency, expand the equalizer settings on the left, turn ON, and click the "Default" box to access the equalizer. Adjust frequencies to desired levels. The RESET button will zero out the levels.
Advanced Audio Features
Xear Voice Clarity
Xear Voice Clarity improves the clarity of received voices. Expand the Xear Voice Clarity settings on the left of the screen to turn ON/OFF the feature. You can also turn the function ON/OFF by clicking the Xear Voice Clarity button on the right. Move the slider to the desired levels to adjust the volume and reduce background noise.
Xear 3D
Xear 3D sound enables the virtual 7.1 surround sound environment. Expand the Xear 3D settings on the left of the screen to turn ON/OFF the Xear 3D feature. You can also turn the function ON/OFF by clicking the Xear 3D button on the right.
Microphone Settings
Xear ENC
Xear ENC eliminates unwanted background noise by utilizing two microphones to distinguish between your voice and ambient environmental background noise. The Xear algorithm then cancels the background noise, leaving clear voice communication. Expand the Xear ENC settings on the left of the screen to turn ON/OFF the Xear ENC feature. You can also turn the function ON/OFF by clicking the Xear ENC button on the right. (For best results, place the microphone close to your mouth when using Xear ENC).
Xear Magic Voice
Xear Magic Voice enables you to disguise your voice transmissions. Options include male, female, cartoon, or a monster. Expand the Xear Magic Voice settings on the left of the screen to turn ON/OFF the Xear Magic Voice feature. You can also turn the function ON/OFF by clicking the Xear ENC button on the right. Select one of the options from the icon list.
Lighting Effects
You can customize the V380 lighting with up to 16.8 million colors in the lighting settings. Expand the LIGHTING settings on the left of the screen to turn ON/OFF the LIGHTING feature. You can also turn the function ON/OFF by clicking the LIGHTING button on the right.
You have the option to select one of five preset lighting patterns:
- Constant: For static display of any color you select.
- Breathe: For an illumination, then fade to black effect of any color you select.
- Streamer: For a colorful display with a dynamic revolving pattern (preset colors only).
- Neon: For a dynamic cycle of lights covering the entire color spectrum (preset colors only).
- Rhythm: For a reactive display of any color you select. Reacts to gameplay sound effects or music.
Adjust the brightness of LED or speed of pattern by adjusting the sliders below the effects. Choose from 16.8 million colors to customize your headset by selecting from the color palette or entering the RGB values in the value box.
UI Settings
You have the option to customize the User Interface by clicking on the Setting icon ⚙️ in the upper right corner. You may select from the following options for the APP:
- Auto start the app
- Language options
- Font size and color
- Brightness level
