Requirements
- PS5 console

Device Layout
The GameSir VX Adapter features the following:
- Pairing Key: Used for initial setup and re-pairing.
- USB Port (For USB Peripheral): Connects to your USB peripherals.
- Indicator Light: Provides status feedback (e.g., connection status, configuration progress).
Configuration Tutorial
Preparation
- Connect the PS5 console to your WiFi router via cable or WiFi.
- Log into your PSN account on the PS5 console.
- Ensure the network is working well by navigating to Settings > Network > Connection Status > Test Internet Connection on the PS5 console.
- Enable Remote Play: Select Settings > System (Console) > Remote Play > Start Remote Play.
Note: For first-time use, the VX Adapter requires setup on a PC (Windows 7/10 or above). After successful setup, you can use it as plug-and-play as long as your PSN account and WiFi remain unchanged.
Download VX Adapter Configuration File via PC
- Visit gamesir.hk/pages/tutorial-vx-adapter. Locate and download the "Configuration File for VX Adapter", then unzip it.
- Open the configuration file and double-click `VxAdapter.exe`.
- The VX Adapter configuration software will open. Language can be switched using the buttons at the bottom.
Configuration Steps
- Hold the pairing key while plugging the VX Adapter into your PC's USB port. Release the key when the VX Adapter's indicator light turns solid white ⚪. Wait for the driver installation to complete. (If driver installation fails, temporarily disable your security software and retry.)
- When the software shows "VxAdapter Found", the driver is installed successfully. Click "Configuration" to enter the configuration interface.
- Click "Set up your PSN account" to open a webpage. Enter the same PSN account and password used for your PS5. After successful login and redirection, copy the full URL from the address bar.
- After copying the URL, click the button labeled '②' in the software and wait 1-2 minutes for the PSN ID to be displayed.
If the PSN ID is not displayed successfully, you can try to obtain it manually using the following method:
*Obtain PSN ID Manually
(Use this method when the VX Adapter fails to connect to the console via automatic PSN ID retrieval.)
- Click "PSN ID manually" to open a webpage. Copy the selected URL provided.
- Paste the copied URL into your web browser's address bar and navigate to the page.
- Enter the same PSN account and password used for your PS5. After successful login and redirection, copy the full URL displayed.
- Return to the VX Adapter configuration software. Click the button labeled '②' again and wait 1-2 minutes for the PSN ID to be displayed.
- Enter your WiFi account and password for the same network as your PS5.
- Enter the 8-digit matching code from your PS5 console (Settings > System > Remote Play > Enable Remote Play > Link Device).
- Click "Save".
Pair with Compatible USB Peripheral
Connect your peripherals to the VX Adapter:
- Connect VX2 AimSwitch to VX Adapter:
- A. Plug the USB-A port of the VX2 AimSwitch's receiver into the VX Adapter's USB port.
- B. Plug the VX Adapter into the PS5's back USB port or a power adapter (5V 2A).
- C. Toggle the power switch of the VX2 AimSwitch. Wait for the receiver's indicator light to turn solid blue ? and the connection status indicator to turn solid green ?.
- Connect VX2 AimBox to VX Adapter:
- A. Plug the USB-A port of the VX2 AimBox into the VX Adapter's USB port.
- B. Plug the VX Adapter into the PS5's back USB port or a power adapter (5V 2A).
- Connect Compatible Controller to VX Adapter:
- A. Use a USB cable to connect the controller to the VX Adapter.
- B. Plug the VX Adapter into the PS5's back USB port or a power adapter (5V 2A).
After connecting your peripheral, press the VX Adapter's pairing key. The indicator light should turn solid green ?, indicating that the remote play service is successfully connected. The PS5 monitor will display "connected using Remote". The configuration process is now finished.

Update Tutorial
- Visit gamesir.hk/pages/tutorial-vx-adapter. Locate and download the "Update File For VX Adapter" to your PC.
- Open `VxAdapter.exe`. Hold the pairing key while plugging the VX Adapter into your PC's USB port. Do not release until the VX Adapter's indicator light is solid white ⚪. Click "Upgrade" in `VxAdapter.exe` to access the upgrade interface.
- Click "Select upgrade firmware", choose the downloaded `update.bin` file, and tap "Upgrade".
Notes
- After successful configuration, you can use the VX Adapter as plug-and-play each time, provided your PSN account and WiFi settings are unchanged.
- If a connection fails, the VX Adapter will attempt to reconnect automatically. If automatic reconnection fails, press the pairing key for a manual reconnection.
- When remote play is enabled and you need to unplug and replug the VX Adapter, wait until the PS5 monitor shows that remote play has disconnected before re-inserting and using it.
- Once configured, the VX Adapter can be powered by any suitable power source, such as a power adapter or a portable power bank.
