Wiring Instructions
EX2-R Wiring Without Switch
- Join both positive red leads from the driving lights. Crimp the ends together using cable sized as per the table below.
- Terminate the cable to one end of the fuse holder and the other end to the positive terminal of the battery.
- Join both negative black leads from the driving lights. Crimp the ends together using cable sized as per the table below.
- Terminate to the negative terminal of the battery or vehicle ground chassis.
- Join the yellow high beam trigger wire to a 3 mm wire and connect it to the high beam feed wire of the vehicle. For Negative switching, refer to the relevant diagram.
- Ensure the fuse and negative battery cable are connected.
Test the driving lights by turning the high beams on.
EX2-R Wiring With Switch
- Join both positive red leads from the driving lights. Solder or crimp the ends together using cable sized as per the table below.
- Terminate the cable to one end of the fuse holder and the other end to the positive terminal of the battery.
- Join both negative black leads from the driving lights. Crimp the ends together using cable sized as per the table below.
- Terminate to the negative terminal of the battery or vehicle ground chassis.
- Join the yellow high beam trigger wire to a 3 mm wire and connect it to the switch in the cabin. Connect a 3 mm wire from the switch to the high beam output of the vehicle.
- Ensure the fuse and negative battery cable are connected.
Test the driving lights by turning the high beams and switch on.
White Position Light Wiring
ADR approved white position lights can be used without the EX2-R Bluetooth module. Connect the supplied round 5-pin female connector flying lead with a brown wire to the round 5-pin male connector from the EX2-R driving lights. Connect the brown wire using 2.5 mm wire to an ignition source or parking lights.
Test the white position lights by turning on the parking lights or ignition.
EX2-R Bluetooth Module Wiring (P/No. 74426)
- Connect the round 5-pin female connector from the controller to the round 5-pin male connector from the EX2R driving light. Ensure the weatherproof 5-pin connectors are securely fastened and route cables away from the engine. The connectors are directional; ensure correct positioning and fasten each end cap.
- Connect the red positive fused power lead to an ignition source or parking lights. Do not connect directly to the battery, as this will keep the position lights and Bluetooth on at all times.
- Connect the black negative power lead to the vehicle ground chassis or battery negative terminal. Refer to the EX2 Bluetooth module instructions for usage.
