Installation

DANGER: Overhead mounting requires extensive experience, including the calculation of the load limit values of the installation material and regular safety inspection of all installation materials and devices. If you do not have these qualifications, do not attempt to perform an installation yourself. Refer instead to a qualified professional. There is a risk that devices that are incorrectly mounted and secured may come loose and fall down. This can cause serious injury or death. ⚡
Before installation, make sure that the amplifier system to which the speaker is to be connected is switched off and that the connection cables are de-energised! ⚡

Step 1: Prepare Ceiling Cut-out

Cut a hole with a suitable diameter in the ceiling. For the CE C6, the diameter is 170 mm. For the CE C8, the diameter is 210 mm.

[Diagram: A circular cut-out is shown in a ceiling. An arrow indicates the speaker being inserted from above into the cut-out.]

Step 2: Connect and Mount Speaker

Connect the signal supply to the desired transformer tap. Fold the speaker's holding arms upwards, press the speaker into the ceiling cut-out, and fold the holding arms down again.

Care, Maintenance, and Repair

To ensure long-term, proper functioning, the device requires regular cleaning and servicing. The servicing requirement depends on usage intensity and environment. A visual inspection before each operation is recommended. Service measures should be carried out once every 500 operating hours or at least after one year for lower intensity use. Warranty claims may be limited due to inadequate service and maintenance.

Care (Carried Out by User)

WARNING! Before carrying out any care and maintenance work, disconnect the power supply and, if possible, all device connections. ⚡
NOTE! Improper care can lead to impairment or even destruction of the device. ℹ️
  • Clean housing surfaces with a clean, damp cloth. Ensure no moisture penetrates the device.
  • Regularly clean air inlets and outlets of dust and dirt. If using compressed air, block fans to prevent damage.
  • Clean cables and connectors regularly, removing dust and dirt.
  • Do not use cleaning, disinfection, or abrasive agents, as they may damage the surface finish. Solvents like alcohol can impair housing seal function.
  • Store devices in a dry environment, protected from dust and dirt. ?

Maintenance and Repair (By Qualified Personnel Only)

DANGER! The device contains live components. Residual voltage may be present even after disconnecting the mains connection, e.g., due to charged capacitors. ⚡
PLEASE NOTE! There are no user-serviceable assemblies in the device. ?
NOTE! Maintenance and repair work must only be carried out by specialist personnel authorized by the manufacturer. Consult the manufacturer if in doubt. ℹ️
PLEASE NOTE! Improperly performed maintenance work may affect warranty claims. ℹ️
