From Root to Results: Endodontic Evolution in Advanced Canal Treatment

New Approach to Canal Treatment

A new treatment approach has emerged in addition to conventional root canal shaping and cleaning methods. By introducing high-frequency conduction (HFC) therapy, the following benefits are anticipated:

Cases: Applications of High-Frequency Conduction (HFC)

Application in Initial Treatment

HFC can be used to cauterize the pulp in a pulpectomy procedure. Cauterization results in hemostasis and coagulation of the pulp.

[Diagram: Procedure steps for initial root canal treatment: 1. HFC application to tooth. 2. Diagram showing apex location determining working length. 3. HFC application again. 4. Root canal preparation and irrigation.]

[Images: Dental views showing Pre-operative, Intra-operative, and Post-operative conditions of a tooth during initial treatment.]

Application in Retreatment

HFC can be used to cauterize infected tissue and contaminants inside and around the root canal. After cauterization, symptoms are expected to improve due to the natural healing process of the human body.

[Images: Radiographic views showing Pre-operative, Post-operative (14 months), and Post-operative (25 months) progress of a root canal retreatment.]

*Clinical image examples of post-surgery progress.

Wide Range of Root Canal Treatment Applications

HFC is effective to cauterize infected tissue in un-instrumented areas and in the granulation. The hemostasis that results from HFC allows for further stability in the apex location.

Application in Unnegotiated Root Canal

Hemostasis in the root canal (coagulation of blood)

[Images: Dental views showing Pre-operative, Intra-operative, and Post-operative blood coagulation during hemostasis.]

Application in Gingival Incision/Gingivectomy

HFC can be applied to a gingivectomy and gingival polypectomy during septum/matrix creation and gingival retraction.
