ECHO Pro-Line Head Kit Instruction Sheet

⚠️ WARNING

Before inspecting or servicing any part of this machine, shut off power source, disconnect spark plug wire from spark plug and make sure all moving parts have come to a complete stop.

SAFETY

• Improper use or abuse of the Trimmer Line Holder can result in serious injury.
• Do not install or operate the Trimmer Line Holder on the Wheeled Trimmer with any safety device or guard removed, incorrectly installed, changed, inoperative or in poor condition.
• Do not use bent, fractured, dulled or damaged Trimmer Line Holders.
• Do not operate the Wheeled Trimmer in the vicinity of bystanders. Keep a minimum distance of 100 feet away from people and pets.
• Do not allow children or an inexperienced operator to use the Wheeled Trimmer.
• Wear safety glasses at all times during operation.
• Inspect the surrounding area thoroughly before use. Remove all foreign objects before operation.
• Avoid hitting stones, wire, bottles, rocks, glass, cans, metal of any kind and any other foreign objects.
• Always keep the Trimmer Line Holder maintained in good working condition.

INSTALLATION

1. Inspect kit to verify all items were received.
2. Remove the front cover. Insert a 9/16" open end wrench into trimmer body, rotating the mow ball as necessary to engage the trimmer shaft. Turn the trimmer head weldment counterclockwise to remove.
3. Remove the existing trimmer head disk and insert the Trimmer Line Holder onto the trimmer spindle.
4. Replace the trimmer head weldment and twist clockwise to tighten. Remove wrench and replace front cover before operation.

INSTALLING/REMOVING TRIMMER STRING

Refer to Figure 1 for string installation.

1. Slide one end of the trimmer string through the line holder along one side of the raised tab.
2. Loop the string around the raised tab and slide through the other side of the line holder.
3. Make sure the string ends are even and pull to ensure the string is snug behind the raised tab.
4. To remove the string, use a screwdriver (or similar object) to loosen the string from behind the raised tab. Pull to remove the string from the line holder.

The diagram shows the components of the Pro-Line Head Kit. Item 1 is a nut, Item 2 is a bolt, Item 3 is the line holder, and Item 4 is the plate line holder. These parts are shown with their corresponding numbers and connection points.
