Smart Lock Manual
Please read this manual before operating your Smart Lock, and keep it for further reference.
Introduction
The App is a smart lock management software developed by Hangzhou Sciener Intelligent Control Technology Co., Ltd. It includes door locks, parking locks, safe locks, bicycle locks, and more. The App communicates with the lock via Bluetooth BLE, and can unlock, lock, firmware upgrade, read operation records, etc. The Bluetooth key can also open the door lock through the watch. The app supports Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, French, and Malay.

Note:
- This lock is equipped with mechanical keys for manual unlocking. Remove mechanical keys from the package and keep them in a safe place and always have access to them.
- To power on the lock, four alkaline AA batteries (not included) are required. Non-alkaline and rechargeable batteries ARE NOT RECOMMENDED.
- This lock is not designed to be exposed to direct sunlight or rain. It is not waterproof IP rated.
- The operation of setting lock has a stand-by time limit of 10 seconds; Without any activity, lock will shut after 10 seconds.
- Keep your fingers clean when using this lock.

4. Installation Guide
Door Direction Check:
- Check the door's opening direction. If the front body is fastened on the left, turn the toggle button to L. If it is fastened on the right, turn it to R. Make sure the thumb turn aligns with your opening direction.
- Right-hand door (R): Toggle on R position.
- Left-hand door (L): Toggle on L position.
Door Thickness Confirmation:
- Kindly confirm the door's interior thickness. It must be between 35mm to 50mm. Different thicknesses might not be suitable.
Deadbolt Installation:
- Adjust the length of the bolt if required. The deadbolt has two backset options: 70mm or 60mm.
- Install the deadbolt on the door.
- Use a screwdriver to test if the deadbolt works smoothly. Ensure the bolt is in the retracted (unlocked) position before installing the lockset.
- Drill the strike box and strike plate according to their sizes and fix them with screws.
Lock Body Installation:
- Hold the front body to the door, ensuring the key nail piece and cable pass through the door hole.
- Ensure the cable passes through the mounting plate, position the mounting plate, then fix the front body with three screws.
- Insert the front body cable through the rectangular hole of the rubber pad. Connect the wire connector from the front body to the back body. Ensure the wire is installed properly and securely.
- After connecting the cables, ensure the thumb turn is vertical (Left opening) or horizontal (Right Opening) according to the door opening direction. Then, hold the back body onto the mounting plate.
- Fix the back body to the mounting plate with 3 screws.
- Place the batteries, ensuring correct battery orientation, and then attach the battery cover.
- If you want the lock to automatically lock after closing the door, please install the door switch sensor.
TTLock App Manual
1. REGISTRATION AND LOGIN
Users can register an account using a mobile phone number or email. The verification code will be sent to the user's mobile phone or email for successful registration after verification.
1.1 SECURITY QUESTION SETTINGS
After successful registration, users are directed to security question settings. These questions are used for authentication when logging in on a new device.
1.2 LOGIN AUTHENTICATION
Log in using your mobile phone number or email. The system automatically recognizes the country code. Password reset is available via a password page, requiring a verification code sent to your mobile phone and email.
When logging in on a new mobile phone, verification is required. Once passed, you can log in and access all your data on the new device.
1.3 WAYS OF IDENTIFYING
Security verification can be done via a verification code sent to the account number or by answering security questions. If "answer the question" verification is set, it will be an option when logging in on a new device.
1.4 LOGIN SUCCESSFUL
Upon the first use of the lock app, if no lock or key data exists in the account, the homepage will display an "add lock" button. If existing lock or key data is present, the lock information will be displayed.
The initialization data of the lock needs to be uploaded to the network. This process requires an available network to complete the entire adding process.
2. LOCK MANAGEMENT
The lock must be added to the app before use. Adding a lock involves initializing it by communicating via Bluetooth. Stand near the lock during this process. Once added successfully, you can manage the lock through the app, including sending keys and passwords.
The person who adds the lock becomes the administrator. The lock cannot enter setup mode by touching the keyboard. Re-adding requires deleting the lock by the current administrator via Bluetooth.
2.1 LOCK ADDING
The App supports various lock types: door locks, padlocks, safe locks, smart lock cylinders, parking locks, and bicycle locks. Select the lock type and enter setting mode to add the device. An unadded lock enters setting mode by touching the keyboard. An already added lock must be deleted from the App first.
2.2 LOCK UPGRADING
Users can upgrade the lock hardware via the App. This process requires Bluetooth and proximity to the lock. Successful upgrades allow continued use of existing keys, passwords, IC cards, and fingerprints.
2.3 ERROR DIAGNOSIS AND TIME CALIBRATION
Error diagnosis helps analyze system problems via Bluetooth. If a gateway is present, the clock calibrates through the gateway. Otherwise, calibration is done via mobile phone Bluetooth.
2.4 AUTHORIZED ADMINISTRATOR
Only the administrator can authorize keys. Authorized keys have the same interface as the administrator but cannot authorize others. The administrator can send keys, passwords, and manage expiring keys.
3. KEY MANAGEMENT
The administrator has the highest rights after adding the lock. They can send keys, manage expiring keys, delete ekeys, reset ekeys, and search lock records.
3.1 KEY MANAGEMENT
Managers can delete, reset, send, and adjust ekeys, as well as search lock records.
3.2 DEADLINE WARNING
The system displays deadline warnings in yellow (approaching expiry) and red (expired).
3.3 SEARCH LOCK RECORD
Administrators can query the unlock record for each key.
4. PASSCODE MANAGEMENT
Passcodes are entered on the lock's keyboard, followed by the unlock button. Passcodes include permanent, time-limited, one-time, clear, cyclic, and custom types.
4.1 PERMANENT PASSCODE
Permanent passcodes must be used within 24 hours of generation, or they expire.
4.2 TIME-LIMITED PASSCODE
Time-limited passcodes have an expiration date, ranging from one hour to three years. Accuracy is to the hour for periods under a year, and to the month for longer periods. They must be used within 24 hours of validity, or they expire.
4.3 ONE-TIME PASSCODE
One-time passcodes are valid for a single use and expire after 6 hours.
4.4 CLEAR CODE
Clear code is used to delete all set passcodes and is valid for 24 hours.
4.5 CYCLIC PASSCODE
Cyclic passcodes can be reused within specified time periods, including daily, weekday, and weekend types.
4.6 CUSTOM PASSCODE
Users can set any passcodes with desired validity periods.
4.7 PASSCODE SHARING
The system supports sharing passcodes via Facebook Messenger and Whatsapp.
4.8 PASSCODE MANAGEMENT
All generated passcodes can be viewed and managed in the password management module, including changing, deleting, resetting, and unlocking passwords.
5. CARD MANAGEMENT
IC cards must be added via the app while near the lock. The validity period can be set as permanent or time-limited. IC cards can be queried and managed remotely if a gateway is present.
6. FINGERPRINT MANAGEMENT
Fingerprint management is similar to IC card management. After adding a fingerprint, it can be used to unlock the door.
7. UNLOCK VIA BLUETOOTH
Users can lock and unlock the door via Bluetooth using the app. Bluetooth ekeys can also be sent to others.
8. ATTENDANCE MANAGEMENT
The app functions as access control for company attendance management, including employee management and attendance statistics. This feature is available for all 3.0 door locks and can be enabled in lock settings.
9. SYSTEM SETTING
System settings include touch unlock switch, group management, gateway management, security settings, reminders, and transferring smart locks.
9.1 USER MANAGEMENT
User names and phone numbers are displayed in the user list. Clicking a customer shows their door lock information.
9.2 KEY GROUPS MANAGEMENT
For a large number of keys, the group management module can be utilized.
9.3 TRANSFER ADMIN RIGHT
Administrators can transfer lock management rights to other users or apartment masters. This requires entering the recipient's account and a verification code. The recipient's account must be an administrator account.
9.4 LOCK RECYCLING STATION
Damaged locks that cannot be deleted can be removed by moving them to the recycling station. Locks in the recycling station cannot be restored.
9.5 CUSTOMER SERVICE

This module displays the app version number (e.g., TTLock 4.8.1).
10. GATEWAY MANAGEMENT
The smart lock connects directly via Bluetooth, making it network-independent. The gateway acts as a bridge between smart locks and home Wi-Fi networks, enabling remote lock clock calibration, record viewing, and remote password modification.
10.1 GATEWAY ADDING
Add the gateway via the app:
- Connect your phone to the same Wi-Fi network as the gateway.
- Click the plus button, enter the Wi-Fi passcode and gateway name, then click OK. Enter the passcode for authentication.
- Press and hold the gateway's setting button for 5 seconds. A green light indicates it has entered add-on mode.
10.2 MANUAL
After a short period, the app will show locks within the gateway's coverage. Once a lock is bound to the gateway, it can be managed through the gateway.
