Kingsong KS-N12 Electric Scooter User Manual
The electric scooter is a recreational personal transporter. Practice is required before mastering riding skills. The rider is responsible for any injuries or damage caused by inexperience or failure to follow instructions.
You can reduce risks by following all instructions and warnings, but cannot eliminate all risks. Please follow local traffic laws and restrictions when riding in public areas.
Always wear a helmet and other protective gear (elbow pads, kneecaps) when riding.
Slow down when riding in crowded areas, making turns, climbing or descending hills, passing schools, or in any situation where high speed may cause harm.
Children under 12 should not use the scooter in public areas. Riders under 18 require adult supervision.
Do not use the scooter in adverse environmental conditions such as rain, snow, grassland, mud, fog, or smoke, as this may cause malfunction and damage to property or body.
Important Cautions:
- Only use the King Song supplied charger. Do not use other chargers.
- Do not charge the E-scooter if the charger or power outlet is wet.
- Do not disassemble the scooter body or modify it without professional assistance from distributors.
- Do not allow others to ride your e-scooter unless they have read and understood this manual.

3. Button Usage
- Power ON/OFF: Long press the button for 3 seconds. All icons light up, showing speed and battery status.
- Headlight ON/OFF: Single click the button. The headlight icon (☾D) will appear when on.
- Speed Gear Change: Double-click the button to change speed gears from 1 to 4 levels (P1 / P2 / P3 / P4). Maximum speed increases from P1 to P3. P4 is a pedestrian mode with a maximum speed of 6 km/h.
- Display Mode Switch: Triple-click the button to cycle through speedometer (km/h), voltage (V), and current (A) displays.
4. Assembly and Set-up
- Unfold the handlebar stem and fasten it securely.
- Firmly connect the wires inside the handle and the stem. Slide the handle onto the stem.
- Tighten the screws on the three sides of the stem using the hexagon wrench.
- After assembly, press the power button to check if the scooter is functioning correctly.
5. APP Usage
5.1 First Ride
Mobile Device Requirements:
- iOS 10.0 or above, Bluetooth 4.0 or above.
- Android 4.3 or above.
Install the APP, register/login, and grant necessary permissions (Bluetooth/location) for the app to function correctly.
Connecting to the Scooter:
- Open Bluetooth and location services on your mobile device.
- Open the APP and click 'Search'.
- Select the corresponding model (KS-N12) from the device list to connect. The scooter will beep upon successful connection.
6. Learn to Ride
- Step 1: Check E-scooter Status Ensure the riding environment is safe. Check the battery level and remaining mileage in the APP.
- Step 2: Wear Protective Equipment Always wear a helmet and other protective gear.
- Step 3: Practice Sliding Place one foot on the deck and use the other foot to push off the ground, sliding the scooter forward.
- Step 4: Accelerate Gently Once gliding, gently touch the throttle and place both feet on the deck.
- Step 5: Braking Practice During riding, release the throttle and gently pull the brake lever to slow down or stop.
- Step 6: Use Headlight Familiarize yourself with the headlight operation.
7. Safety Instruction
- Always wear appropriate protective equipment, including a helmet, knee pads, and elbow pads.
- Avoid riding in the rain.
- Do not exceed the maximum load of 120 kg.
- Maintain a stable riding posture with both feet on the deck.
- Ride at a reduced speed in special conditions (e.g., uneven surfaces).
- Do not step on the rear fender.
- Avoid touching the disc brake, as it can be hot.
- Keep hands on the handlebars during riding.
- Do not ride upstairs, downstairs, or over obstacles.
- Do not carry a child while riding.
- Do not ride on highways or motor vehicle roads.
- Avoid sharp turns.
8. Cruise Control
To activate cruise control, enable it in the APP. Maintain a constant speed for 3-5 seconds on a flat road. The scooter will then maintain that speed automatically. Use cruise control only on flat surfaces to avoid accidents.

10. Folding and Carrying
Ensure the scooter is turned off before folding. Unlock the folding mechanism, bend the handlebar stem, and hook it to the buckle. To open, unhook the buckle, erect the handlebar, and lock the folding structure.
Carry the folded scooter by holding the handlebar stem with one or both hands.
11. Adjusting the disc brake
To tighten the brake: Loosen the caliper screws with the hexagon wrench, shorten the exposed brake cable, and retighten the screws.
To loosen the brake: Loosen the caliper screws, lengthen the exposed brake cable, and retighten the screws.
12. Adjust the handlebar
If the handlebar and stem sway during riding, use the hexagon wrench to tighten the screws on the folding mechanism.
13. Battery
13.1 Temperature Effect on Battery
Battery performance and mileage vary with temperature. The following table provides a general reference:

13.2 Charging
The scooter has a built-in lithium battery. Charge the device when the battery indicator is low.
Plug the charger into the scooter first, then into the power source.
Charging time is approximately 5-6 hours for N12 and 7-8 hours for N12 Pro/Pro+. The charging indicator light turns green when charging is complete. It is recommended to wait until charging is fully complete before unplugging to allow for battery equilibrium.
14. Clean and Maintenance
14.1 Cleaning
- Ensure the scooter is turned off before cleaning.
- Use a soft cloth for cleaning.
- Do not wash the scooter with water or immerse it in water.
14.2 Charging Environment
- Place the scooter in a cool, ventilated area during charging.
- Avoid high temperatures or moisture.
- Prevent water from entering the charging port.
14.3 Storage
- Store the scooter in a cool, ventilated place with temperatures between -20°C and 50°C and relative humidity of 0-75%.
- Do not place heavy objects on the scooter during storage.
14.4 Battery Pack Maintenance
- Check the battery voltage in the APP when fully charged. Normal voltage is 48V-67.2V (N12 Pro/Pro+) or 39V-54.6V (N12). Contact a distributor if the voltage is outside this range.
- Charge the scooter at least once a month to extend battery life.
- Do not disassemble or modify the battery yourself.
14.5 Regular Maintenance
- Do not disassemble or assemble the scooter without professional guidance.
- If the scooter malfunctions, provide a video or photo and the serial number to distributors.
- Check tire pressure before riding. Recommended pressure is 250-300 kPa; maximum is 300-350 kPa. Inflate if necessary.
Attentions before riding
Before riding, check the security of components ①, ②, ③, and ⑥. Tighten any loose screws. Note the following screw torque specifications:
- ①: 4 N/m
- ②: 14 N/m
- ③: 20 N/m
- ④: 50 N/m
