Wood Studs (with Drywall) Solid Concrete, Concrete Block, or Brick Walls Tools Needed (NOT lncluded) If you are NOT sure of the wall construction, please contact our customer service at support@pipishell.net Pencil Electric Drill Phillips Screwdriver Tools Needed for Wood Stud Installation Level 3/8" (10mm) Socket Wrench Tools Needed for Concrete, Concrete Block or Brick Walls Installation OR Stud Finder Awl 7/32" (5.5mm) Wood Drill Bit 3/8" (10mm) Concrete Drill Bit Hammer 02 Supplied Parts and Hardware Speaker Wall Mount 01 x 2 A1 x 4 ST 1/4 x 2 3/4'' A2 x 4 Wall Anchor 10mm CAUTION! This anchor is for concrete or brick walls ONLY. DO NOT use them in drywall or wood studs. Step 1 Attach the Speaker Mount to the Wall For wood stud installation, follow STEP 1A. For solid concrete, concrete block, or brick walls installation, follow STEP 1B. Step 1A Wood Stud Option WARNING: Avoid potential injury or property damage! DO NOT use a drill for tightening the lag screws [A1]. Only use a socket wrench. DO NOT over-tighten the lag screws [A1]. Tighten the lag screws [A1] only until they are pulled firmly against the wall plate. DO NOT USE ANCHOR [A2] FOR THIS STEP! Ensure the speaker mount [01] is securely fastened to the wall before continuing to the next step. Any material covering the wall must not exceed 5/8" (16mm). X Nominal wood stud size: common 2 x 4" (51 x 102mm) minimum 1½ x 3½" (38 x 89mm). Stud center must be verified. A2 Wall Anchor 03 1A-1 1A-2 01 1A-3 7/32 (5.5mm) Stud Finder Awl (Not lncluded) (Not lncluded) OR Use a stud finder (not included) to locate wood studs, or use an awl (not included) to find the edges. Mark the edge and center positions. Pencil Level (Not lncluded) (Not lncluded) Pull the cover away from the wall plate. Position the speaker wall mount [01] at your desired height and line up the holes with your stud centerline. Level the wall plate and mark the holes. 2 3/4" (70mm) 7/32" (5.5mm) Electric Drill (Not lncluded) Drill 2 pilot holes using a 7/32" (5.5mm) diameter drill bit. Make sure the depth is not less than 2 3/4" (70mm). 04 1A-4 01 A1 A1 3/8" (10mm) Level Socket Wrench (Not lncluded) (Not Included) Install the speaker wall mount [01] using lag screws [A1]. Tighten the lag screws only until they are pulled firmly against the wall plate (do not overtighten). Push the cover back into place. Tip: Swivel the arm to left or right side for convenient installation. Step 1B Solid Concrete, Concrete Block, or Brick Walls Option WARNING: Avoid potential injury or property damage! DO NOT use a drill for tightening the lag screws [01]. Only use a socket wrench. DO NOT over-tighten the lag screws [A1]. Tighten the lag screws [A1] only until they are pulled firmly against the wall plate. Ensure the speaker mount [01] is securely fastened to the wall before continuing to the next step. Any material covering the wall must not exceed 5/8" (16mm). Mount the speaker mount directly onto the concrete surface. Minimum solid concrete thickness: 203mm (8"). Minimum concrete block size: 203 x 203 x 406mm (8 x 8 x 16"). Wall Anchor A2 Never drill into the mortar between blocks. 1B-1 Pencil Level (Not lncluded) (Not lncluded) Pull the cover away from the wall 01 plate. Position the speaker wall mount [01] at your desired height. Level the wall plate and mark the pilot holes. 05 1B-2 3/8 (10mm) 1B-3 A2 A2 1B-4 01 A1 A1 3" (75mm) 3/8" (10mm) Drill (Not lncluded) Drill 2 pilot holes using a 3/8" (10mm) diameter drill bit. Make sure the depth is not less than 3" (75mm). Never drill into the mortar between blocks. A2 Hammer (Not Included) Use the hammer to tap anchors [A2] into the wall. Be sure the anchors [A2] are seated flush with the concrete or brick surface. 3/8" (10mm) Level Socket Wrench (Not lncluded) (Not Included) Install the speaker wall mount [01] using lag screws [A1] and anchors [A2]. Tighten the lag screws only until they are pulled firmly against the wall plate (do not overtighten). Push the cover back into place. Tip: Swivel the arm to left or right side for convenient installation. 06 Step 2 Verify that the Mount is Firmly Mounted Step 3 Attach the Speaker 50 lbs / 23kg Clamp width: 5.91"-11.69" (150-297mm) Cable Hole Added Stability: Tie the speaker to the bracket by passing a rope (not included) through the holes and tying a knot. Slightly loosen the round knobs underneath to extend bracket. Place speaker (not included) on the bracket, then adjust the bracket to fit the speaker and secure by tightening the knobs. 07 Step 4 Tilt Adjustment Tighten Side View Loosen Slightly loosen the knob, then tilt the bracket up or down and tighten the knob to hold it in place. Step 5 Swivel Adjustment Top View Swivel the arm left or right. Step 6 Rotation Rotate the bracket left or right. 860-00550-00 Rev03 08 Top View
