General Information of OBD II
The OBD II system is designed to monitor emission control systems and key engine components by performing either continuous or periodic tests of specific components and vehicle conditions, which will relay the following information:
- Whether the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) is commanded "on" or "off";
- Which, if any, Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are stored;
- Readiness Monitor status.
Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)
A Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) indicates a problem detected by the vehicle's onboard computer. The structure of a DTC typically includes:
- System: Indicates the system where the fault is detected (e.g., B=Body, C=Chassis, P=Powertrain, U=Network).
- Code Type: Generic (SAE) codes (e.g., P0, P2, P34-P39) or Manufacturer Specific codes (e.g., P1, P30-P33).
- Identifying Specific: Pinpoints the malfunctioning section of the system.
- Sub-Systems: Further breakdown of the fault area (e.g., 1=Fuel and Air Metering, 3=Ignition System or Engine Misfire, 7=Transmission Controls).
Example: P0202

- Connect one end of the diagnostic cable to the DB-15 port on the Product and tighten the captive screws.
- Plug the other end of the cable (the adaptor) into the vehicle's DLC connector.
- Turn the ignition on. The engine can be off or running.
- Hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn the Product on. The tablet will start initializing and enter the welcome interface.
Note: Do not connect or disconnect any test equipment with the ignition on or engine running.
Initial Setup
Upon first power-on, the device guides you through initial setup:
7. Language Setting
Select the desired language for the tool's interface from the options provided (e.g., English, Chinese, Spanish, French, Deutsch).
8. Choose Time Zone
Select your current time zone. The system will automatically configure the time.
9. Connect Wi-Fi
The system will search for available Wi-Fi networks. Select your network and enter the password.
Note: Wi-Fi is required for initial activation and software access. After activation, diagnostic functions can be used offline.
10. Enter Workshop Information
Configure workshop details and an email address for receiving reports/screenshots. Tap "Obtain Verification Code" to verify the email.
11. User Agreement
Read and agree to the terms and conditions of the user agreement by checking the box and tapping "Next" to complete the registration process. The system will then automatically jump to the Home Menu.
Operation Introduction
The product has 5 major modules: Diagnostics, OBD II/EOBD, Upgrade, Feedback, and Settings.
1. Diagnostics
Supports Smart Diagnosis (Auto-Detect) and Manual Diagnosis for full system diagnosis. A diagnostic report is generated automatically.
1.1 Smart Diagnosis (Auto-Detect)
Ensure "Automatic detection on connect" is enabled in Settings. Connect to the vehicle's DLC and turn the ignition on. The tool will automatically enter Smart Diagnosis mode.
Note: If the vehicle is not identified, try connecting to the network. Not all vehicles support Auto-Detect due to manufacturer settings.
If VIN is obtained, the system scans vehicle systems and generates a report. If VIN information fails, a manual VIN input screen appears.
VIN Input: Enter the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) using the on-screen keyboard and tap "OK". VIN characters are capital letters A-Z and numbers 0-9; letters I, O, Q are excluded. Network connection is recommended for VIN access.
1.2 Manual Diagnosis
If VIN cannot be obtained, perform Manual Diagnosis by following menu-driven commands.
Manual Diagnosis Flowchart:
- Select "Diagnostics"
- Select Vehicle Make
- Select Vehicle Model
- Select Scan Mode (Automatic System Detection or Manual System Detection)
- Select Test Function (Read Version Information, Read Fault Code, Clear Fault Code, Read Data Stream, Actuation Test, Special Function)
Note: Ensure compatible vehicle manufacturer software is installed. Diagnostic menus may vary by vehicle.
1.2.1 Health Report (Quick Test)
Accesses all electronic control units to generate a detailed vehicle health report. Scanning begins after tapping "Health Report".
1.2.2 System Scan (Automatic System Detection)
Scans vehicle test systems automatically. Tap "System Scan" to proceed.
1.2.3 System Selection (Manual System Detection)
Manually select a system for diagnosis. For example, selecting "ENGINE" leads to further options.
a. Read Fault Code
Displays detailed information of DTC records retrieved from the vehicle's control system. Includes options for Help, Code Search, and Report.
b. Clear Fault Code
Erases DTCs from the vehicle. Ensure the ignition key is ON and the engine is OFF.
c. Read Data Stream
Retrieves and displays live data and parameters from the vehicle's ECU. Data can be viewed in Value, Figure (waveform), or Combine modes. Options to Report or Record data are available.
d. Read Freeze Frame
Takes a snapshot of operating conditions when a vehicle fault occurs.
e. Actuation Test
Performs vehicle-specific subsystem and component tests by sending commands to the ECU. Tests vary by manufacturer, year, and model.
f. Special Functions
Offers coding, reset, relearn, and other service functions to restore vehicles to functional status after repair or replacement. Available tests vary.
1.3 Diagnostic History
Records all diagnostic sessions. The History function allows direct access to previously tested vehicles, resuming operations without starting from scratch. Access via "History" in the "Diagnostics" module.
2. OBD II/EOBD
Checks for DTCs, isolates MIL causes, checks monitor status, verifies repairs, and performs other emission-related services. Connect to the DLC port and tap "OBD II" in the Home Menu. The tool automatically checks the communication protocol and displays Monitor Status.
2.1 Read I/M Readiness
Checks if emissions-related systems are operating properly and ready for Inspection and Maintenance testing. Also confirms repair status.
2.2 Read Live Data
Retrieves and displays live data and parameters from the vehicle's ECU.
2.3 Read Freeze Frame
Captures operating conditions during an emission-related fault.
2.4 Read Fault Code
