Overview
This document provides a quick start guide for the Machenike K500-B61W Mechanical Keyboard. It covers setup, features, and specifications.
The keyboard is available in ANSI (61 Keys) and ISO (62 Keys) layouts.
Layout Description
The keyboard features a standard QWERTY layout with function keys, navigation keys, and a numeric keypad (depending on layout). Specific keycap positions are indicated in diagrams within the original document, showing ANSI and ISO layouts.
Getting Started
1. Wired Connection
Turn the keyboard switch to the OFF position. Connect the keyboard to your computer using the provided USB cable. In wired mode, the 'M' LED indicator light will remain steady red. After fully charging, it will turn steady white.
2. Wireless Connection
2.4G Mode
Turn the keyboard switch to the '2.4G' position. The 'M' LED indicator light will slowly flash green. Insert the USB receiver into your computer. Once connected successfully, the 'M' LED light will remain green. To re-pair, press and hold FN + 'R' for 3 seconds. The 'M' LED light will quickly flash green. Re-insert or change the USB port of the receiver and pair again; the 'M' LED light will remain green.
Bluetooth Mode
Turn the keyboard switch to the 'BT' position. Press and hold the keyboard's FN + Q, FN + W, or FN + E keys for 3 seconds to enter Bluetooth pairing mode for host 1, 2, or 3 respectively. The 'M' LED indicator light will quickly flash blue, cyan, or purple, indicating pairing state. Search for Bluetooth signals named 'BT5.0 KB' or 'BT3.0 keyboard'. Upon successful pairing, the 'M' LED light will remain steady blue, cyan, or purple.
3. Automatic Power Saving Mode
When the keyboard is in 2.4G or Bluetooth mode and remains unused for 30 seconds, it enters a first-level power-saving state (keyboard backlight and LED indicator lights turn off). If unused for 30 minutes, it enters a second-level deep power-saving state. Press any key to wake the keyboard from any power-saving state.
4. Reset to Factory Settings
To reset the keyboard to factory settings, press and hold FN2 + Caps Lock for 3 seconds.
Backlight Control
The keyboard features customizable backlight effects, colors, speed, and brightness.
- Press FN2 + 8 to cycle through 20 different backlight effects.
- Press FN2 + 0 to turn the backlight effect of the main key area on or off.
- Press FN2 + 9 to adjust backlight color. Available colors include red, green, blue, yellow, pink, cyan, white, and RGB.
- Press FN2 + Z or FN2 + X to adjust backlight flow speed. There are 5 speed levels. When the limit is reached, the CAPS key position will flash red light 3 times.
- Press FN2 + / or FN2 + ' to adjust backlight brightness. There are 5 brightness levels. When the limit is reached, the CAPS key position will flash red light 3 times.
Custom Lighting
You can record and customize backlight colors for specific keys.
- Press FN2 + Backspace to enter the custom lighting mode. By default, the A/W/S/D key positions will be steady green.
- In this mode, press FN2 + Backspace again. The CAPS key position red LED will flash slowly. Continuously press the desired key to select its constant light display color. The LED will cycle through: red, green, blue, yellow, purple, cyan, white, and off.
- When you are finished customizing, press FN2 + Backspace to save your settings.
- To redefine a key position's backlight color, repeat steps 2 and 3. Press FN2 + 8 to exit the current custom lighting mode.
Battery and Charging
Low Battery Indicator
When the keyboard is in 2.4G or Bluetooth mode and the built-in battery is low, the 'M' LED indicator light will flash red to remind you to charge the device.
Charging Matters
This keyboard supports charging via a portable power source, an external power adapter, or a computer's USB port.
Warning:
- Please use an external power adapter with an output of 5V-2A or 5V-1A.
- Use a portable power source with an output of 5V-2A or 5V-1A.
