Step 1: Preparation
Power on the remote controller and aircraft. Ensure the remote controller is successfully linked to the aircraft, then launch DJI Pilot 2.
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for unlocking No-Flight-Zones (NFZs) using the DJI Pilot 2 application. This process is essential for drone pilots who need to operate in designated restricted airspace.
Note: An internet connection is required for steps 1 through 5. Please ensure connectivity in the unlocking area beforehand.
Unlocking Procedure
Step 2: Firmware Check
Verify that both the aircraft and remote controller are updated to the latest firmware version.
Step 3: Access Geo Zone Unlocking
In DJI Pilot 2, tap the 'profile' icon located in the top left corner. Select 'Geo Zone Unlocking'. Ensure you are logged in with the DJI account used for submitting the unlock request.
Step 4: Refresh NFZ Database
Click the 'Refresh' icon in the top right corner to update the NFZ database. At least one new unlocking package should appear. Click 'Details' for the package.
Step 5: Import Licenses
Import the unlocking licenses into the aircraft by clicking 'Import All'.
Step 6: Activate Certificates
Activate the unlocking certificates using the toggle. Confirm authorization to fly and acceptance of full responsibility for your flight.
Step 7: View Unlocked Area (Optional)
After activation, view the map in the bottom left corner of DJI Pilot 2. The unlocked area will be highlighted as a green zone (applicable for Circle and Polygone licenses).
Note: Flight within the green zone is permitted only while the unlocking certificate is active. To fly outside this zone, deactivate the certificate.
