DocumentDocumentOperating Instructions Meade® #895 Vibration Isolation Pads Introduction Meade #895 Vibration Isolation Pads suppress unwanted vibrations that can sometimes plague a telescope-tripod assembly, such as ground-based vibrations or accidental contact by an observer. The pads can reduce vibrations lasting as long as seven or eight seconds down to less than one second. The Vibration Isolation Pads work effectively on any type of stable surface, such as concrete, soil, grass, and so forth. Parts List Three (3) Vibration Isolation Pads are included. Place tripod leg in center of pad To Use the Vibration Isolation Pads 1. Place one vibration pad near a leg of your tripod. 2. Lift the tripod leg a few inches and move the pad under the leg. 3. Adjust the pad so the tripod leg is positioned over the center of the pad. Then lower the leg. 4. Repeat the above procedure for the other two legs. Note: Do not attempt to lift the entire tripod and place the tripod on all three pads at once. Position the pads one at a time. Fig. 1: Top view of Vibration Pad.
