Warnings

- Cable TV Installer: Proper grounding of the antenna and cable system is required per electrical codes.
- This television is a table model designed for a firm, flat surface. Ensure adequate ventilation by maintaining specific spacing from walls and other surfaces.
- Use a stand or base of adequate size and strength to prevent tipping.
- The power button puts the TV into standby mode; disconnect the power cord from the outlet to completely shut off power.
- Changes or modifications not approved by the responsible party could void user authority. Keep apparatus at least 8 inches from human body.
- Remove energy guide label from the front panel before use.

Antenna Grounding Diagram

Connections and Setup
Before Initial Setup
Protect Against Power Surges
- Connect all components before plugging power cords into the outlet.
- Never plug the TV into an outlet controlled by a wall switch.
- Turn off the TV before connecting or disconnecting cables.
- Ensure all antennas and cables are properly grounded.
Safety Information
- Prevent overheating with good ventilation.
- Do not block ventilation holes; position the TV for air circulation.
- Do not stack objects on the TV.
- Ensure adequate ventilation when using a stand.
- Place audio receivers/amplifiers on a top shelf to avoid overheating the TV.
Avoid Audio Interference
- Position cables properly and insert them firmly into jacks.
- Route cables down one side of the back of the TV.
- Do not coil 300-ohm twin lead antenna cables.
- Keep twin lead cables away from audio/video cables.
Avoid Direct Light
- Do not place the TV where direct sunlight or room lighting shines on the screen. Use soft or indirect lighting.
Setting Up Your TV
Initial Unboxing
Open the box and remove the TV and other items. Be careful, the TV may be heavy; at least two people are recommended for unboxing. Check foam packaging for stands. Warning: Keep plastic packaging away from pets, babies, and children to avoid suffocation.

Mounting Your TV on a Wall
To mount your TCL Google TV to the wall, do not attach the TV base stand. Purchase a VESA wall mount according to these specifications:
- 50" model: VESA 300x300, 2 M6x16mm screws (top row), 2 M6x12mm screws (bottom row)
- 55" model: VESA 300x300, 4 M6x20mm screws
- 65" model: VESA 300x300, 4 M6x20mm screws
- 75" model: VESA 300x300, 4 M6x16mm screws
- 85" model: VESA 600x400, 4 M8x20mm screws
The VESA number indicates the spacing of mounting holes (e.g., 200x200 means 200mm horizontal and vertical spacing).
Follow the directions supplied with the wall mount. Caution: Your wall mount must bear at least five times the TV's net weight. Note: Wall mount bracket and screws are not included.
Warning: This product should only be mounted by a professional installer. Never mount to the ceiling with the screen facing down, as this is hazardous.

Using the TV Stand

Using Cable Clips

Connecting to the Internet
Connect your TV to a wired or wireless network. Connection methods may vary based on your network configuration. Consult your Internet service provider for questions.

Network Settings
- Press the Home button ? on the remote control to display the TV homepage.
- Press the Settings button ⚙️ on the remote control, select 'All settings', and press OK to enter the Settings menu.
- Select 'Network & Internet', press OK, and follow the on-screen guidance to set up your network.
Switching the TV On and Off
- When the power cord is connected, the TV turns on or enters standby mode. Press the Power button ⏻ on the set or remote to turn it on from standby.
- Press the Power button ⏻ on the remote control to put the TV into standby mode (low energy consumption).
- To completely turn the TV off, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Initial Setup
The first time you switch on the TV, a Welcome screen appears guiding you through the initial setup process, including language selection and network connection. You can make choices or skip steps, performing them later via the settings menu.

Basic TV Operations
Accessing Channels
In the TV homepage, press the Menu button on the remote control to display live TV channels. Select 'Search' to scan for channels. Use the CH / buttons to change channels.
Watching Connected Devices
In the TV homepage, press the Input button ⌕ on the remote control, select 'Inputs', and press OK to display the source list. Use the Left/Right buttons to select an input source and press OK to confirm.
Adjusting Volume
Press the VOL / buttons on the remote control to adjust volume. Press the Mute button ? to mute the sound.
Using the Power Button on Your TV
You can use the physical button on the TV to turn it on from standby mode. While the TV is on, pressing the button accesses the multi-function menu.

- Press the button to move highlight.
- Press and hold the button for more than 2 seconds to confirm.

Accessing the TV Homepage
The TV homepage allows access to Internet Applications, websites, and TV settings.
WARNINGS for Smart TV Applications:
- Configure network settings before using Smart TV applications.
- Slow responses or interruptions may occur depending on network conditions.
- Contact the content provider for application issues.
- Application updates or discontinuation may occur without notice.
- Some applications may have limited service or not be supported based on country regulations.
- Content may change without prior notice.
Steps to Access Homepage:
- Press the Home button ? on the remote control.
- Press the Up/Down/Left/Right buttons and OK to navigate to desired Apps, functions, or settings.
- Press the Back button ← to return to the homepage.
Note: Allow a few minutes after connecting to the internet for Smart TV features to become fully available.

Using the TV Settings Menu
Configure TV features such as channels, display, sound, network, accounts, privacy, apps, system, and remotes.
Steps to Access Settings:
- Press the Home button ? on the remote control to display the TV homepage.
- Press the Settings button ⚙️ on the remote control, select 'All settings', and press OK.
- Press the Up/Down buttons to select a menu option, then press OK to enter the option list or submenu.
- Press the Back button ← to return to the previous menu.
- Press the Home button ? to close the settings menu and return to the homepage.
General Settings
- Channels & Inputs: Adjust channel settings, scan channels, and adjust input settings.
- Display & Sound: Adjust picture and sound settings.
- Network & Internet: Configure Wi-Fi and internet settings.
- Accounts & Sign In: Sign in with your Google account.
- Privacy: Adjust privacy settings.
- Apps: View and manage installed apps, permissions, and access.
- System: Adjust system settings.
- Remotes & Accessories: Pair Bluetooth accessories.
- Help & Feedback: Access Google TV Help.

Adjusting Your TV
Channels & Inputs
Use these menus to scan and maintain channels, access the Electronic Program Guide (EPG), and adjust input settings (available in TV mode).
Steps:
- In TV mode, press the Settings button ⚙️, select 'All settings', then go to 'Channels & Inputs'.
- Use Up/Down buttons to select an item and press OK.
- Set channel and input preferences.
Channels
- Channel Scan: Search channels automatically or manually.
- Country/Region: Select your country/region to arrange channels.
- Scan Automatically: Select tuner mode and channel type, then start scanning.
- Manually Scan: Enter parameters like channel number or frequency.
- Edit Channels: Rearrange channels after automatic search.
- Clear Channel List: Reset all channel lists.
- EPG: Access the electronic program guide.
- Channel Diagnostics: Test TV pictures, sound, and signal.
- Authentication for TV service: Verify TV service authenticity.
External Inputs
View connected inputs, standby inputs, and set input names. Control external devices via HDMI (CEC).
- External devices control (CEC): Control HDMI-connected devices.
- HDMI Control: Allows control of compatible HDMI devices.
- eARC: Supports high-quality sound output from HDMI4 (ARC/eARC) devices.
- Power on the TV in sync: Powers TV on when HDMI device turns on.
- Device standby in sync: Puts HDMI devices in standby when TV is in standby.
- Auto Switch: Automatically switches to standby to save energy when HDMI device is not in use.
Display & Sound
Optimize picture and audio settings for your preferences and program type.
Steps:
- Press the Settings button ⚙️, select 'All settings', then go to 'Display & Sound'.
- Use Up/Down buttons to select an item and press OK.
- Set picture and audio preferences.
Note: Available options may vary by picture mode.
Picture Settings
- Picture Mode: Select optimized modes (Intelligent, Vivid, Standard, Sports, FILMMAKER MODE, Movie).
- Brightness: Adjust luminance.
- Contrast: Adjust white level.
- Black Level: Adjust black level.
- Gamma: Adjust middle range brightness.
- Automatic HDR Conversion: Real-time dynamic range adjustment.
- Dynamic Tone Mapping: Balances brightness and detail in HDR images.
- Dynamic Contrast: Adjusts contrast based on picture content.
- Black Stretch: Enhances contrast in shadows.
- Local Contrast: Adjusts backlight intensity per area.
- Peak Luminance: Adjusts maximum brightness in Local Dimming.

System Settings
Configure various system settings.
Steps:
- Press the Home button ? on the remote control.
- Press the Settings button ⚙️, select 'All settings', and press OK.
- Press Up/Down buttons to select 'System' and press OK.
- Press Up/Down buttons to select items and press OK.
- Accessibility: Configure captions, high contrast text, text to speech, shortcuts.
- About: View system update, device name, status, model, version, and legal information.
- Date & Time: Set date, time, time zone, and 24-hour format. Requires network connection.
- Language: Select menu and voice recognition language.
- Keyboard: Configure on-screen keyboard settings.
- Storage: View memory usage, clear data, manage apps and permissions.
- Ambient mode: Set up weather, time, Google photos, art gallery.
- Power & Energy: Configure screen saver, energy saver, sleep timer, standby mode.
- Cast: Control media casting from other devices.
- System sounds: Adjust system sound volume.
- AirPlay and HomeKit Settings: Wirelessly share content and control the TV.

Troubleshooting
Please check the following before requesting service:
No Picture or Sound
- Check power cord connection.
- Verify source type is correct.
- Ensure antenna is properly connected.
- Check volume and mute status.
- Ensure headphones are not connected.
- Verify signal source.
Picture is Not Clear
- Check antenna cable connection.
- Verify TV signal reception.
- Disconnect other peripherals (e.g., VHS camera) if picture quality is poor.
- Obstructions or interference may cause ghosting or lines; use a directional antenna or remove interference sources (e.g., hair dryer, neon lights).
Picture is Too Dark, Too Light, or Tinted
- Check color adjustment.
- Check brightness setting.
- Check sharpness function.
Remote Control Does Not Work
- Check remote batteries.
- Ensure the remote sensor window is not affected by strong fluorescent lighting.
- Clean the remote sensor window with a soft cloth.

Battery CAUTION & Disposal Information
- Use alkaline-type batteries for best results.
- Do not mix battery types (Alkaline, Carbon-Zinc, Rechargeable).

TCL North America Limited Warranty
Coverage: Defects in materials or workmanship for new TCL Products purchased in the United States from an Authorized Dealer.
Duration:
- Non-Commercial Use: One (1) year from purchase/delivery for parts and labor.
- Commercial Use: Six (6) months from purchase/delivery for parts and labor.
TCL's Obligation: At TCL's discretion, repair or replace the Product with a new or refurbished equivalent.
How to Get Service: Visit support.tcl.com for FAQs and troubleshooting. Contact TCL Customer Support with product details. Troubleshooting by phone/chat/email is required before service. Service location is at TCL's discretion.
Service for Screen Sizes: TVs 43" and smaller may be repaired or exchanged. TVs 44" and larger may be repaired or exchanged at an Authorized Service Center or in-home. Sound Bars and Appliances may also be repaired or exchanged.
In-Home Service: TCL reserves the right to cancel/reschedule in-home visits if conditions are hazardous, or opt for exchange instead.
Transportation Costs: TCL is not responsible for transportation costs to service centers. TCL pays for return shipping within the United States only. Units must be properly packed.
Proof of Purchase: A bill of sale or receipted invoice from an Authorized Dealer is required.
PRE-AUTHORIZATION: Required before sending any product to a service center or obtaining in-home repair/replacement/rental services.
What Your Warranty Does Not Cover:
- Units sold as "As-Is", "Used", "Factory Reconditioned/Re-Certified", or "Refurbished".
- Damage from transportation, handling, or shipment from a retailer.
- Extended Service Plans purchased from retailers.
- Customer instruction (refer to Owner's Manual).
