Voltcraft Presents New Oscilloscope Series
The DOV series models feature touchscreen, HDMI output, compact dimensions, and are now available at Conrad.
Key Features:
- Easy operation via touchscreen and high memory depth
- Various models with 2 or 4 channels from 70 to 250 MHz
- Ideal for mobile use and training purposes
Wollerau, July 2025. The new DOV oscilloscope series from Voltcraft comprises eight different models, all available on the Conrad Sourcing Platform. These oscilloscopes are lightweight and compact, equipped with two or four analog channels and a bandwidth between 70 and 250 MHz, making them particularly suitable for mobile applications and educational contexts. The integrated HDMI interface allows the display content to be shown on large screens. Models with a function generator and logic analyzer further expand their range of applications.
Touchscreen Operation
The hassle of turning, pressing, and adjusting knobs is over. All models in the Voltcraft DOV oscilloscope series are equipped with a comfortable touchscreen that allows operation using gestures, similar to a smartphone. "The emphasis is on CAN," explains Harald Lehner. According to the responsible Voltcraft Product Manager, "rotary controls and buttons can still be optionally used as additional or alternative operating elements on our DOV models."
Broad Model Range
The eight models in the new Voltcraft DOV oscilloscope series are visually almost indistinguishable but offer specifications for various requirements. Two models each feature a bandwidth of 70 or 100 MHz, with a choice of two or four analog inputs. A function generator (AWG) differentiates the 125 and 250 MHz models. All four of these devices have four analog inputs each, with only one model in the 125 MHz category and the Voltcraft top model DOV 2504F LA featuring the AWG. Additionally, these four versions include a 16-channel logic analyzer in their performance catalog. For this, the 16-channel Logic Analyzer probe Voltcraft DOV-PP116 can be used, which is available separately.
Extensive Functions
"In developing the series, we explicitly focused on the requirements of the target groups," explains Harald Lehner. Accordingly, the new DOV series boasts a range of technical highlights. A 12-bit resolution Analog-to-Digital Converter is part of the standard equipment, as are USB, LAN, and HDMI interfaces. All digital Voltcraft DOV oscilloscopes operate with a maximum sampling rate of 1.25 GSa/s. Real-time capture is 50,000 wfms/s, and segmented capture reaches 700,000 wfms/s, allowing even irregularly occurring interference signals to be visualized. The horizontal scan speed ranges from 1 ns/div to 1000 s/div. Extensive trigger functions and the decoding of data buses (RS232/UART, I2C, SPI, LIN, CAN) expand the range of applications. For 4-channel devices, four probes are included.
Additional Functions Simplify Work
The FFT function enables the decomposition of signals into their frequency components, enhancing the analysis capabilities of the Voltcraft oscilloscope. Extensive mathematical and cursor measurement functions allow for quick and cross-channel signal evaluation. The Pass/Fail function is important for quality assurance, allowing a signal to be defined and compared with the applied signal. If deviations occur in the signal sequence, a "Fail" is detected, and a pulse is output via the rear BNC output.
Screen Display for Education and Schools
Whether for the clear presentation of measurement results within a team, for use in educational contexts, or during training sessions, the HDMI output on the back of the device proves extremely useful in these settings. Thanks to it, the oscilloscope image can be quickly and easily made accessible to larger groups on screens of any size at any time.
