Understanding SFP
SFP (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) devices are adapters that generate an interface providing access to Ethernet signals via fiber optics. These devices connect to various Ethernet and GPON equipment, enabling the reception and transmission of information by connecting to single-mode or multi-mode fiber optic cables, or Ethernet cables. Key advantages of using SFP modules include reduced space requirements, lower energy consumption, and increased transmission distances.
Choosing the Right SFP
Televes offers a wide range of media converters with various SFP options, depending on the connected devices, transmission speed, or cable type used. The compatibility of our SFPs with different network devices is detailed below.

Application Example
The network setup involves a Network Manager device connecting to a Switch with SFP+ ports. This switch then connects via its SFP+ ports to an OLT (Optical Line Terminal) which also has uplink SFP+ ports. The OLT is ultimately connected to a PON (Passive Optical Network).
