Important Information
Important! Please read these instructions carefully before proceeding with the installation of your ATAG cooker hood.
Safety Precautions:
- ⚠️ Always observe general safety warnings.
- ✋ Avoid touching hot surfaces or components with bare hands during installation.
- ⚡ Be aware of electrical hazards. Ensure power is disconnected before working on electrical components.
- ℹ️ Refer to this manual for all necessary information.
- ? The 'OK!' symbol indicates a correct or approved action.
Ensure the cooker hood is correctly connected to the power supply, verifying voltage (V), wattage (W), and frequency (Hz) specifications.
Installation Requirements
Mounting Height:
- Minimum height above hob: 65 cm (standard installations).
- Minimum height above gas hob: 55 cm (always check local regulations).
- The maximum height for mounting the main unit is 125 cm from the floor.
Ducting: The standard exhaust duct diameter is Ø 150 mm. Ensure all duct connections are secure and airtight.
Electrical: Verify the electrical supply matches the unit's requirements (V/W/Hz).
Applicable Models & Components
This guide covers installation for various ATAG cooker hood models, including:
- WS902XXJM
- WS602XXJM
- WS90XXBQ
- AB260, AB290, AB661, AB691
- BSK662, BSK962
Key components identified in the diagrams include HF2012 and HR0013, likely referring to filter types or specific installation modules.
Step-by-Step Installation
The following steps, illustrated by diagrams, detail the installation process:
- Step 1: Position the cooker hood at the required minimum height above the hob.
- Step 2: Attach mounting brackets to the wall or cabinet using appropriate fixings, such as four Ø 8mm screws.
- Step 3: Secure the cooker hood onto the installed mounting brackets.
- Step 4: Connect the exhaust ducting (Ø 150 mm) to the hood outlet.
- Step 5: Make the electrical connection, ensuring compliance with V/W/Hz specifications.
- Step 6: Note the model-specific dimensions and mounting requirements.
- Step 7: Identify and prepare components like HF2012 and HR0013 for installation.
- Step 8: Mount the main body of the cooker hood securely.
- Step 9: Install the grease filters (e.g., HF2012, HR0013) into their designated positions.
- Step 10: Conduct a final check of the installation for stability and correct connections.
- Step 11: Continue assembly by drilling holes (e.g., Ø 8mm) and using screws (e.g., Ø 8 x 40mm) as indicated.
- Step 12: Attach any additional support or mounting hardware.
- Step 13: Secure the unit using specified screws, such as three Ø 8 x 40mm and three Ø 5 x 45mm screws.
- Step 14: Connect the exhaust ducting (Ø 150 mm) or recirculation components.
- Step 15: Ensure the hood is firmly attached, possibly using clips or final securing screws.
- Step 16: Verify all parts are tightly secured.
- Step 17: Install filters, ensuring they are properly seated.
- Step 18: Connect the Ø 150 mm ducting to the hood.
- Step 19: Attach the filter unit, listening for the 'Clack!' sound to confirm it's locked.
- Step 20: Connect alternative ducting (Ø 120-125 mm) or recirculation modules.
- Step 21: Mount the main unit and complete the electrical wiring.
- Step 22: Secure the exhaust ducting, potentially using two Ø 3x9 screws.
- Step 23: Finalize the installation of specific components like HF2012 and HR0013, including filter placement.
- Step 24: Perform a final inspection to confirm the cooker hood is safely and correctly installed.
