The EKVIP Wall Spotlight is designed for outdoor use, providing illumination for exterior spaces. This document contains the original operating instructions and their translations.
Safety Instructions
- The product is intended solely for outdoor use.
- Always switch off the power supply before installation, cleaning, maintenance, or any other work on the product. This can be done by removing the fuse or unplugging the device.
- Products equipped with a transformer must only be used with the original transformer provided.
- Keep packaging materials and the product away from children to prevent play.
- These instructions must accompany the product if it is sold or transferred to another party.
- Do not connect the light fixture to the mains power while it is still in its packaging.
- Immediately stop using the product if it becomes damaged, particularly the power cord, plug, or lamp socket, or if it malfunctions.
- Any repairs must be performed by a qualified electrician.
- Never attempt to modify or repair the product yourself. Improperly executed repairs can lead to serious personal injury or death.
- The product's earth wire (green/yellow) must be connected to the protective earth.
- Exercise caution during installation to avoid damaging the insulation on the wires. Ensure wires do not contact sharp edges, as damaged insulation poses a risk of electric shock.
- Verify that the mains voltage matches the rated voltage specified on the type plate.
- The plug, power cord, wires, and connections should not be subjected to mechanical stress.
Installation
Follow the illustrated steps (FIG. 1-11) for proper installation:
- FIG. 1: Components & Tools.
Identify the main spotlight fixture, mounting bracket, screws, wall plugs (suitable for ø6mm drill bit), and necessary tools like a screwdriver.
- FIG. 2: Power Off.
Ensure the main power supply is turned off by setting the circuit breakers to the 'OFF' position.
- FIG. 3 & 9: Mount Bracket/Base.
Position the mounting bracket or base plate against the wall. Electrical wires should be accessible from the wall.
- FIG. 4: Secure Bracket.
Fasten the mounting bracket securely to the wall using the provided screws and wall plugs. Use a screwdriver for this step.
- FIG. 5 & 7: Attach Fixture to Bracket.
Align and attach the main body of the wall spotlight to the secured mounting bracket. Screws are used to fix the fixture in place.
- FIG. 6: Wiring Connections.
Connect the electrical wires: Brown wire (L) to the live terminal, Blue wire (N) to the neutral terminal, and Green/Yellow wire (Earth) to the earth terminal.
- FIG. 8 & 10: Final Assembly.
Complete the assembly of the spotlight housing, ensuring all parts are correctly fitted.
- FIG. 11: Power On.
Once installation is complete and all connections are secure, turn the power supply back on by setting the circuit breakers to the 'ON' position.
