Setting up Home Connect
Connect your appliance to a mobile device for convenient settings changes via the Home Connect app.
- Install the Home Connect app on your mobile device and follow instructions.
- Scan the QR code with the Home Connect app. [QR code for Home Connect app download]
Water Hardness Settings
Select the appropriate water hardness setting for your appliance. A table of country-specific units can be found in the instruction manual.

Setting the Water Softening System
- Press [button].
- To open basic settings, press Setup for 3 seconds. The display will show Hxx, then set.
- Press Start repeatedly until the correct water hardness is set.
- To save settings, press Setup for 3 seconds.
Adding Special Salt
To prevent appliance damage, add special salt to the dispenser just before starting a programme.
- Unscrew and remove the lid of the special salt dispenser.
- On initial start-up: Fill the dispenser completely with water.
- Add special salt to the dispenser. The water will be displaced and forced out. Never add detergent.
- Replace the lid and turn to close.
Adding Rinse Aid
- Press the catch on the rinse aid dispenser lid and lift.
- Add rinse aid up to the [max fill] mark.
- Close the lid. The lid will click into position.
Adding Detergent
- Add detergent to the dry detergent dispenser. (Approx. 50 ml, 25 ml, or 15 ml indicated).
- Close the dispenser lid. The lid will click into position.
Programmes
Programme data measured according to European standard EN 60436. Consumption figures depend on selected programme and functions. Runtime may change if rinse aid system is off or needs refilling.

Favourite: Suitable programme for running at night; takes longer but is extremely quiet.
How to Use Your Appliance
- Load tableware. Use only dishwasher-safe items. Remove large food remnants. Ensure spray arms can rotate freely.
- Add detergent.
- Switch on the appliance ?️.
- Select the programme.
- Start the programme ▶️.
- Remove tableware at the end of the programme.
- To cancel the programme, press Reset ? for approx. 4 seconds. The programme will cancel and end after approx. 1 minute.
Cleaning Filters
Check filters for residue after each wash.
- Turn the coarse filter anticlockwise ↩️ and remove the filter system.
- Pull down the micro filter to remove.
- Press the locking catches together and lift the coarse filter out.
- Clean filter elements under running water.
- Re-assemble the filter system.
- Insert the filter system and turn the coarse filter clockwise ↪️. Ensure arrow markings align.
Cleaning Spray Arms
- Unscrew and pull down the upper spray arm to remove.
- Pull up the lower spray arm to remove.
- Check outlet nozzles for blockages under running water and remove foreign bodies.
- Insert the lower spray arm. It will click into position.
- Insert the upper spray arm and screw firmly in place.
Clean Wastewater Pump
- Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
- Remove the filter system.
- Scoop out any water.
- Use a spoon to prise off the pump cover and grip it by the crosspiece.
- Lift the pump cover inwards at an angle and remove.
- Remove food remnants and foreign bodies from the impeller area.
- Insert the pump cover and press down. It will click into position.
- Install the filter system.
Troubleshooting
Faults and Causes
Fault | Cause and Troubleshooting |

E:32-00 or water supply indicator lights up | Cause: Supply hose kinked, water tap turned off/jammed, or filters blocked. Troubleshooting: Ensure hose is straight, turn on tap, check flow rate (min 10 l/min). If filters are blocked, switch off appliance, unplug, turn off tap, unscrew connection, remove and clean filter, re-insert, screw back on, check for leaks, restore power, switch on. |
E:92-40 or E:61-02 lights up | Cause: Filters soiled/blocked, wastewater pump blocked, or pump cover loose. Troubleshooting: Clean filters, clean wastewater pump, secure pump cover. |
Remnants of food on tableware | Cause: Tableware placed too close/basket overfilled, spray arm rotation blocked, spray arm nozzles blocked, filters soiled, or filters inserted incorrectly. Troubleshooting: Arrange tableware with space, ensure spray jets reach surfaces, avoid contact points, ensure spray arms rotate freely, clean spray arms, clean filters, insert filters correctly. Select a more intensive programme if needed. |
Removable streaks on glasses/cutlery | Cause: Rinse aid dispensing set too high or no rinse aid added. Troubleshooting: Lower rinse aid setting or add rinse aid. |
Rust spots on cutlery | Cause: Cutlery not rust-resistant or washed with rusting items. Troubleshooting: Use rust-resistant tableware. Do not wash rusting items together. |
Detergent residue in dispenser/tray | Cause: Spray arms blocked by tableware, preventing detergent rinse-out. Troubleshooting: Check spray arms are not blocked and rotate freely. |
All LEDs light up/flash or rinse programme does not continue | Cause: Electronics detected a fault. Troubleshooting: Press main switch for approx. 4 seconds to reset and restart the appliance. |
