Thank you for purchasing a Morphy Richards Ice Maker. This appliance allows for the production of bullet ice quickly, ideal for chilled drinks, with a capacity of up to 15kg in a 24-hour period. This manual provides essential information for first-time use, operation, and maintenance to ensure your ice maker functions correctly.

Familiarize yourself with the key components of your ice maker, including the lid, control panel, viewing window, front and rear housing, water reservoir, ice basket, evaporator, ice tray, and various plugs and tubes.

Read all safety instructions carefully before operating the appliance. Key precautions include:

• Ensure proper ventilation and keep openings clear.
• Do not use mechanical devices to accelerate defrosting.
• Avoid damaging the refrigerant circuit.
• Use only the type of electrical appliances recommended by the manufacturer inside food storage compartments.
• Ensure the mains cord is not trapped or damaged.
• Fill with potable water only.
• Keep the appliance and cord away from children.
• Supervise children to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended while in use.
• Use only manufacturer-recommended accessories.
• This appliance is intended for household and similar applications.
• Locate the appliance on a firm, flat surface away from heat sources and water.
• Do not immerse the appliance, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
• Use extreme caution when moving the appliance with hot liquids.
• Unplug the appliance when not in use or before cleaning.
• Do not operate with a damaged cord or plug.
• To disconnect, turn to "OFF", wait five minutes, then remove the plug.

Follow these steps for operation:

1. Ensure the drain tube plug is closed.
2. Plug the ice maker into the wall outlet.
3. Open the lid, remove the ice basket, and do not fill above the MAX water level mark.
4. Replace the ice basket and close the lid.
5. Select ice size using the appropriate buttons.
6. Press the Start/Stop button to begin the ice-making cycle.
7. The ice-making cycle takes approximately 7-15 minutes.
8. The ice basket full indicator will light up when the basket is full, and the ice maker will stop automatically. Remove ice with the scoop.
9. The out of water indicator will light up when the reservoir is empty, and the cycle will stop. Add water to restart.
10. Once desired ice is made, press Start/Stop and unplug the unit.
11. Transfer ice to a freezer.

Regular cleaning is recommended to maintain freshness and performance:

• Stop the ice-making cycle, wait five minutes, and unplug.
• Drain any residual water from the ice tray into the water reservoir.
• Move the appliance forward to access and remove the drain tube plug to drain excess water.
• Fill the reservoir with clean water and run the cleaning cycle as per instructions.
• Clean the interior with a soft cloth soaked in warm water and vinegar, then rinse and drain.
• Wash the ice basket and ice scoop in warm soapy water.
• Clean the exterior with a soft damp cloth and mild detergent if necessary.
• Do not use organic solvents, boiled water, strong acids, or alkalis for cleaning.
• Empty and dry the water reservoir if the ice maker is not used for a long time.

Refer to the troubleshooting table for common issues and solutions, including indicator lights, ice production problems, and pump noise.

If the unit fails to operate efficiently, unplug it and do not operate. Contact the Customer Care Centre for advice. Servicing should only be performed by an Authorised Service Person. This appliance contains R600a refrigerant, which is flammable. Refer to the warranty card for warranty information.
