Using Your Ice Maker
Follow these steps for operation:
- Ensure the drain tube plug is closed.
- Plug the ice maker into the wall outlet.
- Open the lid, remove the ice basket, and do not fill above the MAX water level mark.
- Replace the ice basket and close the lid.
- Select ice size using the appropriate buttons.
- Press the Start/Stop button to begin the ice-making cycle.
- The ice-making cycle takes approximately 7-15 minutes.
- The ice basket full indicator will light up when the basket is full, and the ice maker will stop automatically. Remove ice with the scoop.
- The out of water indicator will light up when the reservoir is empty, and the cycle will stop. Add water to restart.
- Once desired ice is made, press Start/Stop and unplug the unit.
- Transfer ice to a freezer.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning is recommended to maintain freshness and performance:
- Stop the ice-making cycle, wait five minutes, and unplug.
- Drain any residual water from the ice tray into the water reservoir.
- Move the appliance forward to access and remove the drain tube plug to drain excess water.
- Fill the reservoir with clean water and run the cleaning cycle as per instructions.
- Clean the interior with a soft cloth soaked in warm water and vinegar, then rinse and drain.
- Wash the ice basket and ice scoop in warm soapy water.
- Clean the exterior with a soft damp cloth and mild detergent if necessary.
- Do not use organic solvents, boiled water, strong acids, or alkalis for cleaning.
- Empty and dry the water reservoir if the ice maker is not used for a long time.
Troubleshooting
Refer to the troubleshooting table for common issues and solutions, including indicator lights, ice production problems, and pump noise.
Maintenance and Warranty
If the unit fails to operate efficiently, unplug it and do not operate. Contact the Customer Care Centre for advice. Servicing should only be performed by an Authorised Service Person. This appliance contains R600a refrigerant, which is flammable. Refer to the warranty card for warranty information.
