Connecting Peripherals
1. Connect the Keyboard and Mouse
Connect your keyboard and mouse to the available USB ports on the computer.
2. Connect the Network Cable (Optional)
If you are using a wired network connection, connect the network cable to the network connector on the computer.
3. Connect the Display
Connect your monitor to the appropriate video port (VGA or HDMI) on the computer.
4. Connect the Power Cable and Press the Power Button
Connect the power cable to the computer and then to a power outlet. Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Operating System Setup
Windows 8.1 Setup
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the setup:
- Enable security and updates: Activate security features and software updates.
- Connect to your network: Establish a connection to your network. If it's a secured wireless network, you will be prompted to enter the password.
- Sign in to your PC: Sign in using your Microsoft account or create a local account.
Windows 7 Setup
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the setup:
- Set a password for Windows: Create a password for your Windows account.
- Connect to your network: Establish a connection to your network. If it's a secured wireless network, you will be prompted to enter the password.
- Protect your computer: Implement security measures to protect your system.
Ubuntu Setup
Follow the instructions on the screen to finish the Ubuntu setup.
