Assembly

No Tools Required

  1. Set the detection mode to the desired setting on the dial (Fig. 8). Open the battery cover (under the sensor housing), snap the battery case onto the battery clip connector (Fig. 1), and close the battery cap clockwise until it clicks (Fig. 2).
  2. Dry Test: Set the detection mode to the desired setting and wave your hand in front of the sensor lens. You should hear the internal water valve click open, then click closed after 3 seconds. If this does not work, try a new battery. The sprinkler resets 8 seconds after the valve closes if no further motion is detected.

Figure 1 shows the battery compartment and the battery clip connector, indicating the 'Detection mode' dial. Figure 2 illustrates the correct way to close the battery cap by turning it clockwise until it clicks.

  3. Follow assembly steps (Fig. 3). Fittings should be hand-tightened only.

Figure 3 details the assembly of the sprinkler head, connector, sensor housing, post, and step spike, emphasizing hand-tightening.

Figure 4 shows the hose connection process: threading the quick-connector onto the water inlet of the step spike, then attaching the hose-end connector to the garden hose, and finally inserting it into the quick-connector until it clicks.

Figure 5 illustrates the use of an extended spike for increased stability.

Figure 6 demonstrates how to daisy-chain multiple sprinklers by removing the flow-through cap and connecting them with a hose.

Figure 7 shows the optional predator stickers for application onto the sensor housing.

Operation

Detection Modes

To calibrate your desired detection mode without getting wet, listen for the activation click from 33 ft (10 m) away.

1. Set the detection mode using the dial (Fig. 8) based on the chart:

Mode Distance Animals
10-16 ft (3-5 m) Large-Sized Animals
☀️ 26-33 ft (8-10 m) Medium-Sized Animals
? 33-39 ft (10-12 m) All Animals

Figure 8 displays the detection and auto-spray timer modes on the dial, including options for 10, 20, or 30-minute timers.

2. The sprinkler has a 120° field of view. Position the motion sensor lens for your desired coverage area (Fig. 9).

Figure 9 illustrates the 120° field of view of the motion sensor, showing a raccoon within its detection range.

Sprinkler Modes

Use as a regular sprinkler with 10/20/30 minute auto-spray timers, after which it will stop (Fig. 8).

Activation Modes

The sprinkler has 4 activation modes: ? Off, ♾️ Always On, ☀️ Day Time, and ? Night Time (Fig. 10).

Figure 10 shows the four activation modes: Off, Always On, Day Time, and Night Time.

NOTE: Sensitivity reduces automatically after 5 minutes to preserve battery life. To minimize false triggers, avoid pointing towards moving objects, windy areas, or very large areas.

Water Coverage

Test the sprinkler from behind unless you want to get wet!

After setup and positioning, adjust rotation, distance, and arc:

  1. Position the trip lever towards the area you wish to protect. Turn the friction collars on either side of the trip lever to control the sprinkler's angle of rotation, between 0° – 300° (Fig. 11).
  2. Lift the trip lever to achieve full 360° rotation (Fig. 12).

Figure 11 shows how friction collars control the rotation angle.

Figure 12 shows how to achieve full 360° rotation by lifting the trip lever away from the friction collars.

3. To increase spray distance, raise the deflector shield and turn the distance control knob clockwise simultaneously. To decrease spray distance, lower the deflector shield and turn the distance control knob counter-clockwise simultaneously (Fig. 13).

4. To vary the spray pattern, turn the diffuser screw clockwise for a narrow jet to wide mist, and vice versa (Fig. 13).

Figure 13 details how to adjust spray distance by raising/lowering the deflector shield and turning the distance control knob, and how to vary the spray pattern by turning the diffuser screw.

NOTE: Spray distance depends heavily on water pressure. Do not exceed the product's maximum rated pressure of 100 PSI.

Maintenance

To prevent damage from freezing, completely drain water from the sprinkler and hose if temperatures fall below 32°F (0°C).

CAUTION: Servicing should only be performed by a qualified repair person using identical replacement parts to ensure product safety.

CAUTION: Do not modify or attempt to repair the appliance or battery pack, except as indicated in the instructions for use and care.

Troubleshooting

Problem Cause Solution
Item is leaking Loose seal between quick-connector Thread the quick-connector onto the water inlet of the step spike. Attach the hose-end connector to the garden hose. Insert the hose-end connector into the quick-connector until a clicking sound is heard.
Item is leaking Not enough pressure Ensure there are no kinks in the hose and adequate water pressure is flowing into the sprinkler.
Motion detection is not working Run a dry test by setting the detection mode to the desired setting and waving your hand in front of the sensor lens. You should clearly hear the internal water valve click open, and then click closed 3 seconds later. If this does not work, try a new battery. The sprinkler resets 8 seconds after the valve closes if the sensor does not detect any further motion.
