Designing for Sustainability with Low GWP
In anticipation of the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) global warming potential (GWP) limit of 700 for refrigerants in heating and cooling systems by 2025, the RACDYB Series utilizes R-454B refrigerant. This refrigerant offers a 78% lower GWP compared to previous-generation refrigerants, contributing to sustainability goals by reducing greenhouse gas emissions while maintaining exceptional energy efficiency and dependable comfort.
(Note: The "LOW GWP Refrigerant" logo is a visual element indicating this feature.)

- Overall unit length for downflow is 59 1/8" [1507 mm].
- The unit has 2" [51 mm] clearance on typically 3 sides for duct connections.
Weights
Corner weights are distributed as follows for the 7.5-12.5 Tons [21.1-44.0 kW] capacity range:
Capacity Tons [kW] | Corner A Weight (%) | Corner B Weight (%) | Corner C Weight (%) | Corner D Weight (%) |
---|---|---|---|---|
7.5-12.5 [21.1-44.0] | 26% | 34% | 17% | 23% |
(Diagram shows a unit with labels A, B, C, D at corners, indicating weight distribution. A spreader bar, lifting beam, and cable/chain are shown for lifting.)
Clearances
The following minimum clearances are required for proper unit performance and serviceability:
Location | Recommended Clearance (In. [mm]) |
---|---|
A - FRONT | 48 [1219] |
B - CONDENSER END | 24 [609] |
C - DUCT END | 48 [1219] 1 |
D - FILTER SIDE | 24 [609] 2 |
E - ABOVE | 60 [1524] |
1 18" [457 mm] minimum if drainpan will not be removed.
2 48" [1219 mm] minimum if economizer is installed.
