Select "H" when the refrigerator is connected to the car's starter battery. Select "M" or "L" when powered by a deep cycle battery.
If error code "F1" is displayed, it means the refrigerator is in voltage protection mode. The refrigerator will function again when the battery is charged or the battery protection level is lowered from H to M, or M to L.
TEMPERATURE GUIDE FOR 1852-REFRIGERATOR
This is a guide to the temperature in the secondary compartment when the primary compartment is set. For the 1852 refrigerator, you can set either the desired refrigerator temperature or the desired freezer temperature. You cannot set a desired temperature for both compartments simultaneously. In most cases, customers will only use the refrigerator temperature control, and the freezer temperature will regulate itself.
Temperature Setting | RE (Refrigerator Control) | FR (Freezer Control) | ||
---|---|---|---|---|
Temperature in Fridge | Temperature in Freezer | Temperature in Fridge | Temperature in Freezer | |
8 | 8°C | -16°C | 8°C | -12°C |
5 | 4°C | -18°C | 6°C | -14°C |
3 | 3°C | -20°C | 2°C | -18°C |
0 | 0°C | -22°C | -1°C | -20°C |
5. Installation
Ensure the refrigerator is in order and not damaged when opening the packaging for the first time.
1. When installing in a cavity / cabinet.
The refrigerator dimensions are 470 * 430 * 630 mm (A * C * B). Ensure there is enough space (minimum 75 mm) at the back and top of the refrigerator for adequate ventilation. There should be at least 7.5 mm of space on each side.
Suggested cabinet dimensions: 485 * 505 * 705 mm (A1 * C1 * B1).
Diagram illustrating installation dimensions and ventilation space.
Always place the refrigerator on a level surface that is sufficient to support its weight. Place the refrigerator away from heat sources and ensure it has adequate ventilation.
2. Connect to a power supply.
Connect the refrigerator directly to the vehicle's 12 / 24V DC system. Use the minimum cable cross-section according to the table below, based on the total wire length between the refrigerator and the battery. Ensure there is enough excess wire to move the refrigerator in and out of the cabinet.
Wire Length | Wire Gauge |
---|---|
Maximum 6 m | 14AWG |
Maximum 11 m | 12AWG |
Maximum 17 m | 10AWG |
Slide the refrigerator into the cabinet.
Mount the refrigerator to the cabinet wall.
Mounting points (holes) are built into the side wall of the refrigerator.
Secure the refrigerator with screws (MS, minimum 15 mm) to the cabinet walls, then use the provided screw covers to hide the screws. A total of 4 screws are required (not included) for mounting in a cabinet.
Diagram showing screw mounting points and covers.
6. Removing Freezer for Increased Refrigerator Space
- Pull out the "divider" horizontally.
- Open the freezer door (lid) to a 75° angle.
- Pull out the freezer zone horizontally.
Diagram illustrating the removal of the freezer compartment.
7. Changing Door Hinging
- Unscrew the bottom hinge.
- Remove the door.
- Unscrew the door handle and mount it on the opposite side.
- Move the "door head decorative sheet" to the new location.
- Move the "top door axle" and "bottom door axle" to their new positions.
- Install the door onto the "top door axle". Secure the "bottom hinge screws".
- Close the door. The door opening direction is now reversed.
Diagrams illustrating the process of changing the door hinging.
8. Cleaning
Cleaning the Refrigerator
Ensure the refrigerator is disconnected from the power supply before cleaning. Unplug the power cord if necessary.
Exterior:
Clean the exterior first with warm and then with cold water. Wipe dry with a soft cloth. Avoid any use of abrasive products.
Interior:
Remove the shelves (or basket), containers, and ice trays. Clean the interior with warm water mixed with a little baking soda or vinegar. Rinse and gently dry with a soft cloth. Never use abrasive products, detergents, or soap.
Condenser:
The condenser should be cleaned at least once a year with a vacuum cleaner or a dry brush. For prolonged use, to avoid mold or unpleasant odors, unplug the power cord, empty the unit completely, clean the interior, and leave the door ajar.
If the refrigerator will not be used for an extended period:
- Turn off the power and unplug the power cord.
- Remove all contents from the refrigerator.
- Clean the refrigerator with a damp cloth.
- Ensure the refrigerator is dry.
- Store the refrigerator in a cool, dry place with the door ajar.
9. Defrost
It will be necessary to defrost the refrigerator when ice builds up to a thickness of more than three millimeters. This operation is necessary to ensure the refrigerator functions efficiently and to avoid increased power consumption. Turn off the refrigerator for complete defrosting. Leave the door open to speed up the defrosting time.
IMPORTANT: Do not use tools or chemicals to speed up defrosting, as you may puncture the refrigerator.
10. Smart Control - App Instructions
Downloading the "Car Fridge Freezer" Application
