TROUBLESHOOTING
Check the following before calling for service:
No image appears
- Is the power cord of the display connected? Check if the power cord is properly connected to the power outlet.
- Do you see an "Out of Range" message on the screen? This message appears when the PC (video card) signal is outside the display's horizontal or vertical frequency range. Refer to the 'Specifications' section and reconfigure your display.
- Do you see a "NO SIGNAL" message or a black screen? After displaying "NO SIGNAL", the monitor enters DPM mode. This occurs when the signal cable between the PC and monitor is missing or disconnected. Check the cable and reconnect it. Also, check PC status.
Can't you control some functions in OSD?
- Can't you select some menu in OSD? You can unlock OSD controls by entering the OSD lock menu and changing items to 'Off'.
CAUTION:
- Check Control Panel > Display > Settings to see if frequency or resolution was changed. If so, readjust the video card to the recommended resolution.
- If the recommended (optimal) resolution is not selected, letters may be blurred, and the screen may be dimmed, truncated, or biased. Ensure the recommended resolution is selected.
- Setting methods vary by computer and OS. The mentioned resolutions may not be supported by the video card's performance. Consult the computer or video card manufacturer if needed.
- Maintain proper posture while using the monitor for optimal viewing.
Display image is incorrect
- The screen color is mono or abnormal. Check if the signal cable is properly connected and fasten with a screwdriver if necessary. Ensure the video card is properly inserted. Set the color setting to higher than 24 bits (true color) in Control Panel > Settings. Check if the screen is set to interlace mode; if so, change it to the recommended resolution.
- The screen blinks. Check if the screen is set to interlace mode and change it to the recommended resolution.
Unrecognized monitor message
- Have you installed the display driver? Install the display driver from www.lg.com. Ensure the video card supports the Plug&Play function.
The screen is flickering.
- Did you select the recommended resolution? If the selected resolution is HDMI 1080i 60/50 Hz, the screen may flicker. Change the resolution to the recommended 1080P.
