Champion 4650W Dual Fuel Inverter Generator Quick Start Guide

Introduction

This Quick Start Guide provides essential information for setting up and operating your Champion 4650W Dual Fuel Inverter Generator (Model 201080). It is designed to help you get started quickly but is not a substitute for the full Operator's Manual. Always read the entire Operator's Manual before operating the generator.

❗NOTICE: Keep all objects at least 5 feet (1.5 m) from the generator. Heat from the muffler and exhaust gas can ignite combustible materials.

Important Safety Information

⚠️DANGER: MOVE GENERATOR OUTDOORS. Using a generator indoors CAN KILL YOU IN MINUTES. Generator exhaust contains carbon monoxide. This is a poison you cannot see or smell. NEVER use inside a home or garage, EVEN IF doors and windows are open. ONLY use OUTSIDE and far away from windows, doors, and vents.

Setup Instructions

1. Step 1: Remove Shipping Support

   Assembly > Remove Shipping Support Hardware.

2. Step 2: Connect the Battery

   Assembly > Connect the Battery.

   Push two halves of battery connector together tightly.

3. Step 3: Add Engine Oil

   Assembly > Add Engine Oil.

   Recommended: 5W-30, up to 16.9 fl. oz. (500 ml). DO NOT overfill.

4. Step 4: Move Generator Outdoors

   Move the generator outdoors. / Amenez la génératrice à l'extérieur.

   ONLY USE OUTSIDE AND FAR AWAY FROM WINDOWS, DOORS, AND VENTS.

   UTILISEZ-LE UNIQUEMENT À L'EXTÉRIEUR, LOIN DES FENÊTRES, PORTES ET TRAPPES DE VENTILATION.

Operation Instructions

1. Step 5: Add Fuel

   Add fuel - Gasoline or Propane (LPG)

   Assembly > Add Fuel

   Ajoutez du carburant - L'essence ou propane (GPL)

   FOR GASOLINE OPERATION: DO NOT USE E15 OR E85

2. Step 6: Electrical Connection Warning

   DO NOT plug in any electrical devices.

   NEVER START OR STOP THE GENERATOR WITH ELECTRICAL DEVICES CONNECTED OR TURNED ON!

   NE JAMAIS DÉMARRER NI ARRÊTER LA GÉNÉRATRICE AVEC DES APPAREILS ÉLECTRIQUES BRANCHÉS OU EN MARCHE!

3. Step 7a: Starting the Engine (Gasoline)

   Electric Start

   1. Turn the EZ Start Dial to the full "CHOKE" position.
   2. Press and hold ignition switch on EZ Start Dial.
   3. Turn the EZ Start Dial to the full "RUN" position.

   1. Tournez le cadran EZ Start à la position complètement sur « ÉTRANGLEUR ».
   2. Appuyez et maintenez le commutateur d'allumage du cadran EZ Start.

   Manual Start

   1. Turn the EZ Start Dial to the full "CHOKE" position.
   2. Pull the recoil to start the engine.
   3. Turn the EZ Start Dial to the full "RUN" position.

4. Step 7b: Starting the Engine (Propane/LPG)

   Electric Start

   1. Open the propane tank valve.
   2. Turn the EZ Start Dial to the full "CHOKE" position.
   3. Press and hold ignition switch on EZ Start Dial.
   4. Turn the EZ Start Dial to the full "RUN" position.
   5. Press and hold ignition switch on EZ Start Dial.

   Démarrage électrique

   1. Ouvrez complètement la soupape de la bonbonne de GPL.
   2. Tournez le cadran EZ Start à la position complètement sur « ÉTRANGLEUR ».
   3. Appuyez et maintenez le commutateur d'allumage du cadran EZ Start.
   4. Déplacez le cadran EZ Start à la position « EN MARCHE ».
   5. Appuyez et maintenez le commutateur d'allumage du cadran EZ Start.

   Manual Start

   1. Open the propane tank valve.
   2. Turn the EZ Start Dial to the full "CHOKE" position.
   3. Pull the recoil 2-3 times to prime the engine.
   4. Turn the EZ Start Dial to the full "RUN" position.
   5. Pull the recoil to start the engine.

   Démarrage manual

   1. Ouvrez complètement la soupape de la bonbonne de GPL.

5. Step 8: Plug In

   Plug in. Operation > Connecting Electrical Loads.
