Automatic Features
- AUTO SHUT OFF: The unit automatically shuts off when the reservoir is full or the set humidity is reached. Wait 3 minutes before resuming operation.
- AUTO DEFROST: When frost builds up on the evaporator coils, the compressor cycles off, and the fan continues to run until the unit defrosts.
- AUTO RESTART: If power is cut unexpectedly, the unit restarts with the previous settings when power resumes.
Manual Features
- COMFORT MODE: Automatically controls humidity between 45%-55% based on room temperature. Humidity cannot be manually set in this mode.
- FILTER: The "Clean filter" light illuminates when the filter needs cleaning. Press the filter light reset button after cleaning to reset the light.
- CONTINUOUS MODE: Press the continuous mode button to set the dehumidifier to run constantly without a timer. The continuous mode light will turn on.
- HUMIDITY CONTROL: Adjust relative humidity in 5% increments using the decrease (-) button for drier air and the increase (+) button for damper air. The adjustable range is 35% to 85%.
- TIMER: Set the timer to indicate when the dehumidifier will start or stop. Press the timer button until the desired timer light is on, then use the increase/decrease buttons to adjust the time in 0.5-hour increments up to 10 hours.
- FAN: Press the fan button to switch between high and low fan speeds. Higher fan speed removes more moisture.
Removing Collected Water
Collected water can be removed in two ways:
- Manual Emptying: When the water reservoir is full, remove and empty it.
- Continuous Draining: Water can be automatically emptied into a floor drain by attaching a water hose with a female threaded end (not included) to the unit.
- Remove the plastic cover from the unit's drain outlet and set it aside.
- Remove the water reservoir. Insert the hose through the drain outlet, pressing it securely into the connector on the front of the unit.
- Secure the adapter to the unit with two screws (not included).
- Install the female threaded end of the water hose into the adapter, then route the hose to a floor drain or suitable drainage facility.

Troubleshooting
Problem | Solution/Explanation |
---|---|
Unit does not start | Check that the unit is plugged in. Check the house's fuse/circuit breaker box. The unit has reached its preset level or the reservoir is full. Reservoir is not in the correct position. |
The unit does not dry the air as it should | Allow the unit more time to remove moisture. Ensure nothing is blocking the front or back of the unit. Select a lower humidity setting. Check that all doors, windows, and other openings are securely closed. The room temperature is too low (below 41°F; 5°C). Another appliance is producing water vapor in the room. |
The unit is making loud noises | The air filter is clogged. The unit is tilted instead of upright. The floor surface is not level. |
Frost appears on the coils | This is normal. The unit has an auto defrost feature. |
Water is spilling on the floor | The hose connection may be loose. The back drain plug is removed. |
